It was the first time I realized that great directors can have a really off day - it was terrible and Hal Prince bore a lot of that responsibility.

What's also fun about the cast is that Betsy Joslyn and George Hearn were just in Sweeney Todd together (although as father and daughter), as well as Edmund Lyndeck, who also was cast in Into the Woods!

And Peter Gallagher was originally cast as Giorgio in Passion, but left for personal reasons...if I remember correctly.

The second Broadway show I saw in New York was Funny Girl with her and Johnny Desmond, right before it closed in 1967.

I'd read about that earlier. :( I'd always enjoyed seeing videos of her performances on YouTube.
