The show had three co-directors who kept the action moving. They did some cross gender casting that worked well. Goneril's nasty attendant and Kent were both played by women, and both very good. One actress played both Cordelia and the Fool.

The usually dreadful Rob Ashford was one of the three directors. When I saw his name I half expected Branagh to do that sideways step Ashford always uses.

My conference is over, and I'm sitting in my hotel room with a ten dollar single burger from Wendy's.

Granted it is possible I did not see David and Lisa until 1963.  I remember my father telling me to go see it and I went with a friend who was also short and looked young.  We had to convince them to let us in and that our parents told us to see the movie.

I hope it went well, at least your part that they forgot to mention.

I'm scrolling through the tv channels.  I don't have a TV at home,  so I don't know what is on any more.

I don't buy burgers, and can't remember the last time I went to a fast food restaurant.  Is ten dollars pricey for a burger from there?

A McDonald's Quarter Poubder with cheese is $7.99 these days here in Manhattan.  If you add bacon, it's over $10.00!

The minimum wage for fast food workers in California  went up to $20 per hour, so prices zoomed up.

Lear was excellent. Branagh was very human, very relatable.

I am glad to hear that.  I am seeing it in a couple of weeks
