A few shots from the garden

Very nice, John!  What flower is it?

That is the color of the bougainvillea that adorned my front gate in Naples for five years.  I lived in the community on Lago Patria and had a nice villa on the lake front.  My villa was named Villa Bougainvillea.

TOD: I like the nonlinear storytelling in Pulp Fiction a lot. It sounds like Strange Darling followed a similar model.

I think Skip first met our own BK during the run of that show at the Old Globe.  (not the same sparks, of course)

Lucky for you! ;)

Yesterday I learned that our concert this Sunday afternoon will be livestreamed. And apparently the livestream usually stays up for weeks.

Anyone else, when you were very very young, mis-hear the line "You make the bougainvillaea turn purple at the mention of your name" in "Mame" as something like "You make the blue gainvillaea turn purple at the mention of your name"

Bougainvillaea had never been a vocabulary word at the Yeshivah.

You're welcome, DR Freddie! The Hanson Symphony has been a bucket list item for me ever since I started singing. Our first orchestra dress is tonight.

Watching a Pierre Etaix film called Le Grand Amour. Very funny and often nonlinear, which makes it applicable today.

In the film, our hero pictures himself in a moving bed with the object of his lust. I’ve had that dream before. It’s funny seeing it on screen.

Wicked part 1 is 160 minutes long. Some good reviews, some bad. Certainly a better response than the Broadway version got.

I have started Etaix's documentary Land of Milk and Honey. It's occasionally entertaining, but is more often depressing.
