Very nice, John!  What flower is it?

Bougainvillea

That is the color of the bougainvillea that adorned my front gate in Naples for five years.  I lived in the community on Lago Patria and had a nice villa on the lake front.  My villa was named Villa Bougainvillea.

TOD: I like the nonlinear storytelling in Pulp Fiction a lot. It sounds like Strange Darling followed a similar model.

Yesterday I learned that our concert this Sunday afternoon will be livestreamed. And apparently the livestream usually stays up for weeks.

Anyone else, when you were very very young, mis-hear the line "You make the bougainvillaea turn purple at the mention of your name" in "Mame" as something like "You make the blue gainvillaea turn purple at the mention of your name"

Bougainvillaea had never been a vocabulary word at the Yeshivah.

Watching a Pierre Etaix film called Le Grand Amour. Very funny and often nonlinear, which makes it applicable today.

Wicked part 1 is 160 minutes long. Some good reviews, some bad. Certainly a better response than the Broadway version got.
