First of all, you spent seven weeks rehearsing ILYYPNC?  Seven?!?!?

I FELT like 7 - however, I believe with tech week it was a total of 6.  Still, it was about 4 times a week or so.  This cast is brilliant, I wish they had better direction, but they've run with the drek they were given and IT WORKS!!!!  However... I'm STILL having trouble with "I Can Live With That" - the E-major section, but it's so much fun anyway!

I never thought about Bubblegum Music that much.  I don't think it was even supposed to be thought about.

As for music in the car, I'm a non-driver.  Der Brucer, who does all our driving, generally has control of the car radio, and prefers to keep the news on as much as he can.  Otherwise, it's showtunes, usually with me in charge of the CD player.  And that includes when the grandlads are in the back seat, only instead of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels we're more limited to, say, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

I've got to get out of the kitchen more.  I read this, and thought "tap shoes" referred to something connected to the sink and faucet.

I am hoping that DR JANE took photos of the souvenir stands near VLAD's castle.  I cannot imagine what might be on sale there!

Can someone with A&E let me know if the Frances Farmer Biography aired again either last night or this morning?  I just had a huge spike in hits on my web article about her.  That is usually followed by a plethora (calling Howard Cossell ;)) of weird emails, but I haven't gotten any of those yet.   :P

And the villain, Pogue.  Once you understand that there are only three characters of any import in the film, it's really not too difficult to figure it out, is it?  The film is just inept, actually.  And it's always hilarious to me when a film is shot on location and the characters eat at restaurants, fast food joints, walk on streets, and yet those locations are never given the context of where they are located - what street they're on, what's around them - it's just closeups of the actors sitting somewhere.  It might as well be in a studio.

Isn't my friend Diane Salinger the killer in THE MORNING AFTER?

Can't tell from the website that it has been aired recently ln A/E or  the Biography channel, DR JMK.  The sites are not exactly user friendly.

Maybe someone mentioned her on MTV.  Or a book group is reading her "autobiography".

There is an open call for the musicals Where's Charley, Mystery of Edwin Drood and Saturday Night at Grossinger's during the next few days.

DR Elmoore are you working on the last one?

Back from a lovely breakfast with Mr. Kevin Spirtas.

Diane does, I think, play the actual killer, but the villain is one of the leading trio.  It's really convoluted and stupid.

DRMichaelShayne, I'd been asked to by Stephen Cole, but the director vetoed me.  I'm plenty busy right now, so it's okay.

She's a neat lady, totally wasted on CARNIVALE, and I've known her since my Drama book Shop days.  My favorite role she's done is the waitress in PEE WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE.

I just checked Steve's email.  It was the producer, but Steve had warned me that from tghe beginning.  Here's what he sent me this wednesday:

I just wanted to let you know that despite my going to bat for you to do the new charts for Grossinger's the producer hired someone else. You know I think you are swell and I love your work. Sorry about that.  Next time!

Sid Luft, Judy Garland's 3rd husband and father of Lorna and Joey, has passed away. There is an obit in the NY Times but that requires registration. Here is the link in case you're registered.

Well, I'm glad I'm not famous; the poor guy just passed away and all we learn now about him is that he was a bastard!

I don't often just take a drive in the car. However, if there is no musical I especially want to listen to, I will grab LEROY ANDERSON'S GREATEST HITS and the Best of DEBUSSY for a lengthy car trip. Love that music!

I guess you mean Pamela Anderson's Greatest Tits! :o ::) ;D

(I'm a fan of Mr Leroy Anderson's music too!)

Still hurts and wearing a back brace. Not a lot of fun. But it is a lot better than it was two weeks ago.

here's hoping you feel better soon!
