I just went online at medicare.gov to review drug plans before the 12/7 deadline, and I'm horrified at what I'm seeing.
Horrified, not just at the drug costs at various pharmacies around town, but at the site itself. Every page talks about what my ESTIMATED drug costs will be in 2024. Yes, 2024. They also list pharmacies associated with supermarkets that CLOSED two months ago (the pharmacies might even have closed way earlier). And I don't think I've found a website yet where the location-and-distance finder technology has been anywhere near accurate.
ANYHOO...
To the extent that I can even understand any of it, it looks like I still won't make any change, but I do stand to save a few bucks by using the Costco pharmacy instead of the Walmart one I've been with, and it's much more convenient. I added it to my "list" of pharmacies on the website, and I guess I need to tell the doctors to send prescriptions there. Right? Who the hell knows? Guess I'll find out by doing it.
