I started with a bowl of matzoh ball soup, then moved on to stuffed cabbage rolls over mashed potatoes.

Sounds good.  Were the cabbbage rolls vegetarian?

Alas, no. And it was definitely not a kosher deli (being open on the Sabbath).

I must be in year-end wind-down mode because I’m certainly not getting much done.

Thank you to Larry and George and anyone I may have missed for the CD gift recommendations. Amazon didn’t have Larry’s picks and I don’t think my friend likes jazz. I saw several CDs I’d like for myself, but settled on an Itzak Perlman for my friend. I think name recognition is the key with her. I’m sure she’s heard of Perlman and how could anyone not like his music?

When I moved here in 2017, I bought a new Epson printer, the kind that didn't use cartridges, that you refiled with liquid ink. Today, seven YEARS later, I had to finally replace the black ink. Is that not amazing? Seven YEARS. That has saved me hundreds and hundreds in those stupid cartridges. And after seven YEARS I still have plenty of the three color inks left.

I did have to do the auto print head cleaning three times to get it to print, but it's fine now. And that is why I love Instacart. Got here in thirty minutes.

Some things about the number seven are good, then.

And with your double-seven birthday on its way, it's good karma.

We've been in Boston for the dedication of MIT's new music building. The concert sounded fabulous - great acoustics in a 300-seat hall, with performances by MIT students and faculty.

I don't think DR MichaelG mentioned it recently, but the link to stream his recent concert is still live:
