I've got to turn my phone in soon, like, in January after the dust has settled on this insane month of this insane year.
All of our phones have come from Verizon, because (1) we wanted their coverage in the first place, and (2) the three of us are on their family plan so we're supposedly getting whatever benefit there is to be gotten from that. So Verizon it shall stay.
The phone is actually working well for the most part, for its age. It's an iPhone 7-Plus from 2017. It had a wonderful then-new camera that has served me incredibly well -- and still does, for the most part. But it's slowing down some. I think the battery life is deteriorating, and this phone suffers from something that got a lot of people some money back from Apple (which I know about in time, so I didn't get it). There's a defect that causes the volume adjustment on phone calls and voicemail listening to be extremely limited. You can get it only so loud and no louder. And I'm here to tell you that "only so loud" ain't loud enough. So I've suffered with that long enough, and next month I'll waltz in (maybe not literally) to the local store and see what's what in current iPhones.
