I am currently lifting some spirits.

Baileys Irish Cream in a mug of decaf coffee.

Yum. 😊

Am in quite a bit of pain.

Taking Oxycodone, hopefully for not too much longer.

That drug works really well for pain.

I’ve been told that the recovery will take between 4-6 weeks.

Once healed, a 6 week course of radiation will follow, 5 days each week.

Bet that BK’s house smells great….all of that delicious spaghetti sauce, simmering away

I haven’t made much spaghetti and sauce this year, other than linguini with fresh pesto sauce.

Again, I want to express how touched I was by all of your kindness and caring.

Please keep the vibes coming, needed for the ongoing chemo and radiation.

THANK YOU! ❤️

Do is Done. Spaghetti sauce was, for whatever reason, not quite up to the usual standard but everyone said they liked it and they sure ate a lot of it. However, I made enough for twenty people. There were five of us for most of the evening, then seven, then nine, all me, not one woman showed up and that included the mysterious absence of Amy and Mark, who neither wrote to tell us they weren't coming for the first time in i don't know how many years, and several other regulars, plus Adryan and Dale, Kay Cole, Barry Pearl. I have so much food leftover and why did I bother to make so much. I think from here on in, because of tonight, people will now have to RSVP because I am NOT overcooking like this ever again. I have half a think of tuna pasta salad left AND the entire second batch. And probably three POUNDS of pasta and sauce enough for an army. You see my point, I'm sure.

I've cleaned up everything except the sauce and pasta - have to figure out how much to save and how much to toss.

I only had two small helpings of tuna pasta salad and two really small helpings of spaghetti, so I'll have a bit more now.

Well, we knew this entire lead up to the Do was so out of control, it's probably not a surprise.
