Thanks DRGEORGE for understanding.  Patti is okay - I like her.  It's the SHOW.  Maybe I just need to see a good production of it.  Saw one that wasn't so hot and it got onto my last nerve.

A good production would cure that, I am sure, because Mr Sondheim is, of course, Mr SONDHEIM.

Watched DRJOSE's favorite show (or one of them) So You Think You Can Dance?

Aptly named program, for sure.

All of their choreographers should be fired immediately, if not sooner.  There were NO disco steps in the disco routine.  The Argentine Tango was my favorite, but the judges hated it.  And the solo dances were all split leaps and gymnastics except for the.....well - is pole-dancing really the NEW dance form?  The girls were all dancing like strippers.  WELL like I have been lead to believe strippers dance - and the guys were nearly as bad.

Some training was evident in some of them - and one judge told the hiphop guy that he should head right for Broadway!  Guess Starbucks needs a new busboy there.

She'll be the best damn tuba player onstage that night, that's for sure.

I thought that slogan sounded familiar, and at first I thought it was a card advertising REWIND.

I've been going through a bit of rough patch on EBay lately -- virtually EVERYthing I've bid on I've lost.

I, on the other hand, had tremendous luck yesterday on eBay.  I picked up original window cards for both Equus and Man Of La Mancha for just $4.99 each!  I have been searching for Equus for over a year now.

Well, I'm not used to NOT being home!  I'm still at work (had to get the invoices ready for the board meeting so that they could be paid...and it had to be done TODAY!!) and I'm just now finished.  I'll borrow my niece's tape of "Lost" because it's starting RIGHT NOW and I'm not home.  I'm going to get something to eat and not watch it until I can see the whole thing from beginning to end. :-\

Tomorrow is going to be a very bad day. My number has come up and I have an appointment to talk to the dreaded Dr. C. tomorrow at 2:00. Can I have some vibes please?

DR Sandra, smile a lot and wear something pretty.  Take your epee and flourish it a few times during the appointment, just to show this clown that you ain't taking any of his guff.

You will not want to miss a SECOND of it. Wonderful show tonight. Even some homoeroticism; not sure if it was planned, but it certainly was present!

Just listened to a tape that we had of the demos Tony Orlando had done for the musical of RAISIN.  Haven't pulled out that tape in a while, made me feel good to listen to it.

(How could I have forgotten to list TONY ORLANDO AND DAWN when the Topic of the Day was favorite variety shows?)

If you ever see the paperback of THE ME NOBODY KNOWS for cheap, pick it up. It contains some just unbelievable writing by kids. It really shows you the power of the human spirit.

I saw CW the other day in the park. She was talking with some dude, and I distinctly heard her say, "He'd kill us if he found out." I could be wrong. That's what it sounded like she said. Some guy was playing bongos really loud and it was hard to hear exactly...

I like the Fifth Dimension. The group that is.

My only issue with them is that back in the day they must have released a record every month. And many had the same tunes on them. And some LPs you thought were new were really collections, and some Greatest Hits collections were missing key hits. So it was overly complicated, and thus their LPs haunt every bargain bin across this nation. But that sound!!

Time to wussberger, or is it wussburger.  (Actually had the Westway Burger with cheese for dinner tonight, which the Westway claims is the best burger in town.  It actually was very very  good, but the best?)

Good night, all.
