I hadn't heard about a Victor Garber Liberace movie either.

As I recall, the thing that bothered me about the Mike Douglas one was the CGI and voice manipulation. I enjoyed the story and all, but that fake de-aging stuff icks me out.

Don't say that word!!!   :)

Fortunately, though, we aren't in line to get this storm. It's one of those blessed Snowmageddons that stays south of us and blankets the mid-Atlantic instead. We might get a dusting or a very slight covering tomorrow or whenever, but we'll be watching out for our own storms later in the week.

Around here they’re describing this storm as a “south of I-70” event.

Wow. Well, these types seem to run with pretty clear borders.

Or maybe it's just that sometimes we're in the area of those borders so they seem so obvious.

Here in Danbury, we root for anything that's "south of I-84". Sadly, we rarely get exactly that.

Well, folks, I think it's about time for me to remove the Post-Its (there are more than it looks here) and give the Nutcracker Project a rest till next year.

I was comparing cuts or other slight deviations taken in four studio recordings and in one video performance. Perhaps a few more next year. But now I'm more familiar with what's what when it comes to more or less standard practices with this piece.

I made a spreadsheet of all this, so out with the "stickies" and back to the shelf with the score.

Latest forecast is that if we get more than a dusting tomorrow, it'll still be little or no accumulation, and very dry/fluffy. In other words, another backpack leaf-blower event. And that's good news.  :)

MR BK you might check your neighborhood thrift store.

The ones in my area always have bar stools of one type or another and you can take for a spin so to speak.

Isn't there an old song lyric "Kingman, bar stool, San Bernardino"

Sunday it is.

And since it's Bird Day - I shall spend some time talking to the pair of keets.

They have been spending more time on the side of the cage near the computer so perhaps they are trying to tell me something.

Are they telling you to send more tweets for Bird Day?

DR Iris I am relieved that someone has been going with you to your appointment.  I hope this person has also been helpful in asking the right questions and helping you process the information.

Last night, out of the blue, I took out the Blu-ray and watched the Hammer film QUATERMASS AND THE PIT for my first time since owning the disc. Wow. It sure beats the old UK PAL DVD I had before, and it's absolutely loaded with good interviews and commentaries. Shout Factory did this one. I have the others in the Quatermass series, including the original BBC telecasts, and I think going through that little collection will be a fun pursuit in the coming weeks.

I have survived the Tub of Terror and the cats are celebrating my bathing survival, I was very touched with their elation until Annabelle pointed out that none of them can work a can opener, and if I went to a watery grave, well . . .
