I don't know if it were the shingles or covid vaccine, but it has knocked me on my proverbial ass this morning.

It began around midnight last night, with a heavy urge to pee very two hours. Then the dreams began. I no longer remember the first two dreams which were quite vivid. The thirtd dream was about rehearsing the Al Carmines musical Promenade. "Capricious and Fickle" and Alice Playtren kep[t running thougth my head.

Hope you feel better quickly, Larry!

It was a really good vegetable box this week. It even included a loaf of Ezekiel bread. That's expensive stuff!

Wow, that’s great, DR Laura! I always eat Ezekiel bread, and have for many years.
What variety did you get? It’s usually sold frozen.

I also remember a joke he told that night that my parents assumed I didn’t understand.

He was describing the beauty of Hawaii, and mentioned that when he arrived, he was greeted by a beautiful woman who proceeded to give him the customary Hawaiian lei.

Is this joke allowed on a family site?

If not, feel free to remove it, BK.

There's a restaurant supply grocery store nearby, and he's good about finding the things they mark down.

DR Laura, is this store open to the general public?
I have a friend in Phoenix who would really appreciate it.
May I share the location and information with her? Thanks!

Went to the mail place and then Gelson's, where I got two little things of fried fish and tartar sauce, some creamy tomato soup, a tiny bit of lobster salad. Everything but the soup was TERRIBLE and I'm now ever so nauseous. And this was the good Gelson's.

In four minutes, I'll write until three or three-thirty and try to get at least six pages done by then.

My brother's snake is in the garage

I was thinking, "Can't he lure it out with some food?"

I'm reading that the fire is approaching the 405. Not good.

The Palisades fire is now 11% contained, up from 8% yesterday, but it has spread east and north, and is now encroaching on Encino. This is so tragic. More winds expected as well.

Yes. Part of the freeway has been closed and there’s an evacuation warning for the area just east of the freeway.

Jrand, I have a lot of experience with clogged drains. A very cheap, low-toxic way is to use hot water. The water in my building isn’t very hot, so I have to boil it, but you may be able to do it right from the tap. I usually need about 8 quarts. Just keep pouring hot water down, as much as it’ll take at a time. It hasn’t worked every time, but it’s been great when I couldn’t get to the store.
