My girl child brought her home reading and it was some Sleeping Beauty version from the ‘80s, maybe based on the original, I dunno. The wicked queen at some point demands her servant feed her the princess’s two babies. She eats them! Or she thinks she does. Of course the servant/chef feeds her lambs instead. Unpleasantness.

A friend cooked dinner tonight and got out the fine china. So it was a dress-up affair. She cooked pork loin and served it eith tzimmes, which was excellent. Dessert was an angel food cake with whipped cream frosting and cracked brittle on top.

Just finished an irritating documentary called This Is Ballet: Dancing Anne of Green Gables. You wade through endless backstage blather about the creation of a new ballet. Ten minutes before it’s over, they get to opening night. And what little footage they include of the ballet is presented in fast forward, so you get no serious dancing in the whole movie.
