Big day of practicing ahead of me. The keyboard part I'm playing in The Little Mermaid is annoyingly tricky, and I'd best not dally. I played it several years ago and it's mostly quite familiar, but in a few spots it's like seeing the notes for the first time. Don't you hate when that happens?

My try at dealing parody-wise with the Trump-Musk situation.

My cousin Stanley passed away yesterday.  He was 82 years old.

He was the son of our Uncle Jim Earles and Aunt Mary.....both gone.  When they were first married the doctor said they couldn't have children, so they adopted Stan.  A few years later cousin Arlene was born and few years after that cousin Steve was born.

We loved them all.

A few years ago, Stan met his birth family and he always wished he hadn't.  He said all they do is call me to borrow money or my car and they come over and never leave.  I imagine we will see a couple of them at his service.....if there is one.  Nothing has been decided yet.

DR George, thank you for posting that “ So Long Farewell” song last night!

I sent it to my friend, and Rodzinski’s friend, Sharon, who is currently directing The Sound of Music in New York.

Very funny!

Oh, no! :'(

Gene Hackman and Wife Betsy Arakawa Found Dead in Santa Fe Home; Oscar-Winning Star of ‘French Connection’ and ‘Unforgiven’ Was 95

And if that's not sad enough, according to the article, "The couple was found dead, alongside their dog."

Just read about this.

Carbon monoxide poisoning was initially suspected, but there is an investigation ongoing, as there were pills scattered about. So sad.

The New York Post:

Authorities said the deaths were “suspicious enough in nature to require a thorough search and investigation” after also finding an open pill bottle and pills were also found scattered around the room where Hackman’s wife, classical pianist Betsy Arakawa, and the dog were discovered.

Meanwhile, Hackman’s body was located in a separate room, and there was “no obvious sign of a gas leak,” according to the report.
