Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

We started watching ON CALL last night, a relatively new police drama from producer Dick Wolf.

It's an unusual police drama series in that it's in half-hour episodes, or really more like 24-25 minutes, so the pacing of the show feels different than the hour-long police dramas.  I'm liking it so far.

Interesting.  Thanks for mentioning it.

Listening to a real horror story: The Quiet Damage: QAnon and the Destruction of the American Family. The author, Jesselyn Cook, has done her homework.

Thanks for buying it, singdaw.  That's greatly appreciated!

Not to brag, but...

Nice :)

Two long telephonic calls back-to-back, one of which was for a new book on all the Carrie movie adaptations. Nice gal writing it - and she wanted to know how we came to finally issue the complete score to the original film.

Very sad news.

New Mexico officials have announced the cause of death for actor Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa, a week after they were found dead at their home in Santa Fe. Hackman died of heart disease, with Alzheimer's disease as a contributing factor, and Arakawa died several days before him of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, Chief Medical Investigator Dr. Heather Jarrell announced Friday.

Wish someone had checked on them.

The revelation that the famous and reclusive couple had died of natural causes put to rest much of the speculation that followed the discovery of their bodies on Feb. 26. But it also raised new questions about the state of mind of Mr. Hackman, who investigators said had severe Alzheimer’s disease, and why the couple was not discovered sooner.

Ms. Arakawa, 65, had run a series of errands on Feb. 11, but the authorities could find no evidence of any activity after that, suggesting that she could have died that day. Mr. Hackman, 95, is believed to have died about a week later, on Feb. 18, according to New Mexico’s chief medical examiner, Dr. Heather Jarrell.

The last time I attended a show at The Laurie Beechman Theater was 14 years ago, when my dear daughter performed in a Halloween revue.

Wait until the very end., as the musical skit isn’t quite over when you think it is. 😄
