Back from a fairly mundane run-through. You take all the time to rehearse the scene shifts, you run the show and it's like they've never done them. We finished late so I couldn't give notes. Tomorrow will begin with my telling this they have to figure it out run it on their own and that it's not my problem, it's theirs.

Our new actress will be fine, but I'll be working her scenes tomorrow at four-thirty, to just get her into the right style of playing.

And our musical director quite obviously had not even looked at the score while he was away. I had to give many notes about tempos. We did set the new music for the ballet and he notated it all and then didn't play it right. Go know.
