TFO - My mind is still reeling from the fact that there is actually a disco version of Ballad of Sweeney Todd!

TCB  So I'm planning on seeing Oliver on the 13th.  My question for you...do the shows commonly sell out?  Should I get a ticket way in advance or wait until closer to opening?

TCB - Our dear Sandra is quite well known for her... shall we say... unique food creations, including (among others) floop, slog, and chips with frosting.

Being an adventurous soul, I tried slog (kidney beans, cheese, croutons, and ranch dressing) on her recommendation a few months ago and actually found it rather enjoyable.  Chips from frosting I found ok, but probably not worth repeating.  Floop I won't be trying... don't like beets.

There is still an East Coaster (well almost) among us - take care. He may be secretly trying to infiltrate and keep us his number of posts (or looking for another computer techician).

It is a small theater only about a hundred seats, but I wouldn't expect it to sell out too quickly.  I will check with the office on Monday and see what they say.  I'll let you know.  That is really sweet of you to come see it.  Now I will really have to crack the whip and get these kids to learn their damn dance numbers.

WOW!  I leave for about six hours, and SEVEN more pages of notes!  Now that's postin'!!

Good show tonight... One down.... FOUR more to go this weekend... And I would actually like to head up to NYC on Monday for the day, but since we have a Noon show on Tuesday, I should use the day to rest...  We'll see...

Tonight's reception was very nice.  Good food, again, and they had "adult" beverages tonight  :)  It's just too bad that we have a double tomorrow, or we all could have partied till the wee hours.  Alas, most of us started heading home around midnight.  But we all did get a good hour of fun, food and socializing.  My parents and some of the friends came tonight too, and it was nice that they got to see me conduct at the end of the show.   ;D

As for the Michael Jackson case... Did anyone else hear the commentary by Dand Rather over CBS radio the other day?  Even he suspects that the news media will get to a point where it will report anything and everything regarding this case.  -If it hasn't already.  He reminded "everyone" that we still have a conflict in the Middle East going on, that there is still a threat of terrorism worldwide, etc...  And that Michael Jackson, right now, is a citizen - like us - who has been accused of committing a crime.  Innocent until proven guilty.  Let the judicial system try him.  And not the press.  We'll see...

DR Jason:  So nice to hear that Donna was in tune.  I remember when I saw The King & I revival, a gentleman at intermission was asking/telling the sound guy at the back of the house that "she should take some lessons to learn how to sing on pitch".  And, I had to agree.. she was particularly pitchy that night.  Now when I saw her in Passion - and I saw her/it five times - I never noticed a pitch problem.  However, I did have a few friends who were "amazed" at her pitchiness in that show.  In any case.... I just hope Wonderful Town is able to attract an audience.  I just want to see it for the FULL orchestra - on stage no less!  I hope to catch it in January when I'm up there.

-And great news about the WVPT gig!

[move=right,scroll,8,transparent,100%]GOOD VIBES!  GOOD VIBES!  GOOD VIBES![/move]

Well, since I have a matinee in 12 hours, I guess I better get to bed.

Oh... but I do have some pics to pass on...

And yes, Ann, it is at Encore.

Actually, slog sounds kind of good.  Any particular kind of cheese?

I suppose we are getting back to the topic of whipped cream now. Though I think it becomes butter rather than chedder when it is whipped too much (if of course one can whip or be whipped too much - td knows more of these things)

Was that Melbourne Florida? If it was it should be the state's official dessert: Key Lime Pie

Glad  I waited for the photos Jose. Freddo Frogs and my favourite composer. And the news is that Assassins will start previews in March or April.

That was Melbourne, Australia.  At the end of my Chocolate Tour.  We had dessert at the Performing Arts Center.  The design on the plate represents the structure on top of the center.  See below...
