UPDATE:

I do NOT have to schlep to almost-Yonkers to play Into the Woods. That was a last-minute substitution and their original person, who'd been dealing with an emergency, can do it.

It's actually a bit of a relief getting next week back, even though I now don't get to break my 3-Shows-in-March record. (March is the most likely month for setting musical theeder records.)

The original Sunday in the Park with George had spectacular design.

That was one of the first to come to my mind too. I didn't see it on Broadway, just the video, but it still made a huge impression.

Observations from last night's preview performance:

Apparently this isn't that place where they teach the kids that when your mic goes out mid-scene, you don't just keep talking - and then singing your solo - in your normal voice.

It also apparently isn't that place where they enforce no talking backstage while wearing mics, even if the feed isn't going out to the audience, so that the other crew and the orchestra monitor don't pick up your chatting about how it's okay to talk because it isn't being heard by the audience.

Thursday morning greetings!  Remember me?  I have no reason - good or bad - for being absent, other than being in a funk.

I hope you are out of your funk now.  It is hard not to be in one these days.

On one of our early dates in 1975 Richard took me to the then-new La Comedia Dinner Theatre to see DR Elmore in “…Forum.”  They’re now celebrating their 50th anniversary and we’re going today to see “Jersey Boys.”  It’s a matinee, so we’ll be having dinner for breakfast.

Enjoy your day.

I read Trixie Belden mysteries when everyone else was reading Nancy Drew.

Maybe I would have liked those more if I had known about them.

Fingers crossed.

I was awake in the middle of the night after a bathroom break for about an hour and a half.     >:(

I did that on Tuesday night though I was then awake from 2:00 until about 6:30 when I finally slept until 8:30.

The bookcase is gone.

One lonely table remains.

It's a nice table but I don't have any space for it.

Last night I woke up at 3:00 for a bathroom break.  Keith was already in there and while I waited for my turn I fell back asleep until 6:15 :)

My cousin didn't arrive.

I called her and asked "Did you forget to come today?

And she said: "Apparently."

She is coming next Thursday.

St Louis Billikins play in five minutes on USA network if anyone else wants to watch Robbie Avila work his magic.

Ginny, I posted a couple of days ago that I ran away from home because we had to have a home repair. I let my DH take care of it. I can't take the stress.

It's not like me to be so stressed. I guess it's the way it is now. So much going on.

We have to fly soon for a memorial service. I don't want to fly.  My DH is so sweet, though. He said if I can't get on the plane to get back, he'll come back and get the car and drive me home.

I took my four-mile walk. Now I'm waiting for the wind storm they said we are going to get, and then the rain.

TOD: Besides Phantom of the Opera, I'd say I think the most beautiful set I've seen was My Fair Lady, which toured here with Elmore's friends -- Eliza's father and the conductor.
