Finished up the evening with INCONCEIVABLE. I liked the pilot last week, and I liked tonight's episode just as much if not more. Very soap opera-ish with lots of storylines going on, but I like the cast, the stories about couples trying to have children have been surprisingly varied and interesting, and so I plan to keep watching.

As I said earlier, I don't know how long this show is going to run. The first week, it finished last in the time slot, and that's going to be a deep canyon to crawl out of. We'll see tomorrow how tonight's episode fared.

I got the GIANT DVD as well.  Unfortunately mine was the Canadian release that was withdrawn shortly after its initial release because the transfer was so disappointing.  And it is.  I don't watch the movie enough to justify ANOTHER DVD purchase (I already had the two tape set) - but very disappointing that a BIG movie like this would receive such shoddy treatment AGAIN!

To me, putting any classic made in the widescreen era out on DVD and not enhancing it for widescreen TVs should be against the law.

Because GIANT is SO long, I didn't get REUNION or THE OFFICE watched tonight. I will get to them at some point this weekend.

It's not quite midnight, but I'm feeling very tired, so I think I'll head down to bed.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the day.

Good night!

Still looking for the umbrella.

Don't they still sell those cheap umbrellas on the corner when it rains. The ones that break after the first time you use them?

DR Jose -  Do you know yet where dinner will be on Wed. night?

And do I remember reading something about an early HHW dinner on Monday?

Ooo, I've always wanted to look in on The Today Show!

Is 9:30 early enough for the Today Show?

I got to see the wonderful ISABELLE AND HER PRETTY-UGLY SPELL at NYMF today, before heading into the office.  For some reason, this show has gitten a rep as being only for kids or parents taking their kids.  I thought it was great for the whole family, but also sophisticated enough for adult fairy-tale lovers just out to have a good time at the theater.    Really a delight, another winner of a show for the BMI Workshop.

I'd like to know this too, I don't land until 4:37 and have Sweeney Todd tickets, so I'm not sure I can make it, but I'll try.

At this rate, I'll never make it to 500 posts by the end of Rosh Hashanah, or more importantly, in time for the Wednesday HHW dinner.  I was E&T (in tax language, that means I was working on Estate & Trust returns) and couldn't post from the office.

Is BK serious that there might not be a trivia contest tomorrow?  I might have to make other plans to fill the possible void.

My agent shares an office with an acting agent, and I was at her office for a while today.  Someone brought in an unsolicited picture and resume, and left it for the acting agent.  The credits on the resume were quite impressive, but the pictures on the reverse were like soft-core porn, shirtless shots in the crashing surf and such.  I found it odd that someone with such good credits would use photos that made him look sp cheap, but I guess it's a matter of getting attention.  The acting agent wasn't there, so I couldn't ask if that was what actors were doing nowadays to get agents' attention.

Time for bed.  If there's no trivia question tomorrow, I may have no excuse for not joining Skip on an insnaely early jaunt with the dogs, and I'm hoping it won't come to that.  :)

Alias didn't fare well in the ratings but they didn't expect it to???  Then why is it on the air?  The eight o'clock time slot is a joke, and sadly, I felt the episode was, too.  More in the notes.
