BIG package day tomorrow, as I've been informed that all my errant and truant amazon shipments are ALL arriving tomorrow, and, best of all, the Rewind order will also be here, at least according to UPS.  I might try to get those shipped on Saturday if there's time, otherwise they'll all go out on Monday.  Oh, boy!!!

Oh, JOY!!! ;D

It's a gorgeous day here in the City of Studio.  No packages today, but tomorrow, as I've said, there will be a plethora, I tell you, a veritible plethora.

I did pick up the new Alfred Hitchcock Presents DVD today, so I'll be starting that after the meeting this evening.

IJR (I Just Realized in Internet Lingo) that if you take a peek at the picture of Magnolia Bakery from last night's frenzy, you can see the back of DR Vixmom entering the store.  She's the blonde in the pink shirt (as opposed to the Blonde in the Thunderbird).

DR Jason failed to mention this photo was shot witha fish eye lens, I am actually very very very slim, about a size 2.. junior size 2.... yeah that's the ticket, I shop in the kids' department....

INVASION was a good episode last night, and the show has hooked me now enough to continue with it. Creepy things going on but in a more bump-in-the-night kind of way than full of gore and monsters.

And the makers are giving the audience more information than the characters have which, as Hitchcock always believed, added an extra notch or two to the suspense. Dramatic irony does almost always work in a serialized TV series like this.

I didn't get around to ordering the ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS set until yesterday, so mine will be a few days later in arriving.

I did get a box of books today including that ABC Movie of the Week reference book. No pictures, but I haven't really looked at the text yet.

I also watched last night's CSI: NY this afternoon. Ordinarily, I leave this show for summer viewing since CBS does not take it off during the summer, but I knew one of the regulars was leaving the show last night, but I wasn't sure which one. By the end of the hour, I knew.

I noticed that the Fox Movie Channel was showing Shirley Temple's THE LITTLE PRINCESS today. There are a million different public domain copies of this movie out there, but I figured they'd use a decent element in their broadcast, and they did (including that stereo soundtrack they seem to be able to fashion for all of their releases.)

I burned a DVD as I watched.

The makeover was fun. We went to Saks and had a lot of fun at the Bobbi Brown counter.  I think Danise and Ginny have the before and after photos. I may have an after photo, but haven't downloaded it yet.

I am sitting in the coffee area of the hotel with my feet up while Jane and Denise are off galavanting.....well walking....around.

The internet situation really stinks in this hotel, so don't expect too much from me until I get home tomorrow night. Then I will post some photos.

DR Jason - thanks for the "attachment" to the email.  I probably won't get a chance to listen until I get home. I am very glad to have it.

I downloaded the Opera Browser, but I didn't like it.  Not easy to navigate and HHW in particular took forever to upload a comment!  That won't do....that will NOT do.  So, I uninstalled Opera!  8)

IOne note (not really a spoiler) - I absolutely LOATHED the spoiled new student from California, Jackie. By the end of the hour, she had mellowed a tiny bit, but I still find someone with that much attitude impossible to deal with and a total turn off.

I am having much the same problem with the eldest daughter in Medium  She is constantly  putting down her yunger sister and makingnasty faces and being rude to her parents... she should be sent to time out and left there

DR JMK - my new Frances Farmer site is very small and not quite ready for visitors....but I am working on it.

I had been testing the link I put to your "Shadowland" page yesterday.

Of course, it's possible that the real Allison Dubois' daughter was/is really this rude and nasty and they're just throwing some realism into the show. ::)

And LOST CHILDREN (not the correct title) about Jewish children who were given away by their families so that they would survive the war.

Secret Lives

Might this be it?

One of my favorites af this genre is The Children of Chabannes (1999)

Looks like I was right about NBC calling on DIck Wolf and his potential new show about young lawyers to go to series and be added to the lineup. Look what I just read on-line:

"Per the Hollywood Reporter, NBC ordering up 13 episodes of Conviction, a courtroom drama from Law & Order creator Dick Wolf that debuts midseason and follows young assistant district attorneys in New York. "

I agree completely, and I was astonished that Joe didn't do something about it since Allison was obviously preoccupied. They didn't punish that child for her rude behavior at all, and it's only going to get worse if unattended!

JR:  the site looks nice so far.

Vixmom:  no news yet.  We've pretty much written off Developer #1, since he seems to have dropped off the face of the earth, but we're moving apace to get our house ready to sell.  We've already done quite a bit of repair just over the past couple of weeks.

Yes DR derBRUCER I think that's the one, but it seems to me it had a German word as a title.  Hmmm....

Working on some photos for the new site, DR JMK.  One of the Good things about zoomshare....and one of the drawbacks....the only place anyone except me can post is in the Blog Comment section.

But that's okay....maybe that will keep some of the crazy people away.  And that way I can delete ALL references to Kurt Cobain.
