I started the day late. Need to run to Costco and the supermarket.

Back to that temperature repor for a moment:

We were -8 again at the local airport early this morning. That's been confirmed. And "Accu" says that's still where we are.

But Apple, one of the richest corporations in the world, says we've made it to 5 degrees. Who am I to believe?

;D

Either way, it is toooooo cold!

I miss sandwiches. I'm not eating bread often at all. I need to take off the 7 pounds I gained over the holidays.

I too miss them. Yesterday I splurged and had egg salad on half a piece of lightly toasted sour dough bread.  I'm struggling with my weight but I blame the prednisone on that.

By "holidays," I mostly mean Halloween.

DR LAURA here MAY be a photo of some carpet in a Toronto condo building that may or may NOT be of interest.

The walls are a bit much.

I used the direct linking process.

Were you looking for photos of carpets?

Demond Wilson has died. I enjoyed him in The New Odd Couple with Ron Glass. And of course, Sanford and Son was a favorite when I was a kid.

Due to lack of ticket sales, the Screen Machine's premiere of MELANIA has been relocated to a more appropriately sized venue. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Almost as funny as " If the Melania documentary was shown on a plane, the audience would still walk out."

My favorite hot sandwich is a good veggie burger, preferably bean, on a bun with tomato, lettuce, and avacado.

I like a good imitation bacon, lettuce, and tomato with mayo.

Grilled cheese, which I haven't had in years, was always a favorite.

I'm stealing DR John G's list and modifying it
Meatball
Meatloaf
Burgers
Sloppy Joes
Hot dogs with sauerkraut and mustard or with chili, chopped onion, and grrated cheddar
Hot pastrami on rye with Swiss and sauerkraut
A lobster  or shrimp roll with butter
A fried fish sandwich with plenty of tartar sauce
Grilled cheese with either Campbell's tomato soup or chili
Sausage with peppers and onions

TOD: My favorites are a meatball sub, and a Philly-style roast park with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone. Grilled chicken and grilled cheese are also good.

Around 2:00 Ann and Jen arrived with a newly constructed cat tree an d carted off to the basement the old one. Annabelle and Stella claimed it immediately while Thatch is still debating if he likes it.

Futzed and finessed, sent off 100 pages to Muse Margaret and let her know. I'm taking a break and then I'll try to write a few new pages.

How the fat hell do we attach a photo? I still get this message The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved.

Is this still something to be fixed?

On SCREENPIX I just watched a curious Italian film from Italy in 1960.

I had seen an English dubbed version of it on TV a long time ago - but this one was Italian with English subtitles. The title: The Vampire and the Ballerina.

So you can guess what it was about.

Some of favorite parts:

The two choreographers who were guys and HOT for all the women.

The vampire countess who wore a 400 year old dress - with a zipper up the back.

The two BIG choreographed numbers that made Elvis Presley movie dancing look like it had been staged by Jerome Robbins.

The guy playing the piano for a improvised vampire number - and after 12 bars we not only had piano music but a full 7 or 8 piece combo at full blast.

I'm sure it's ON Demand at Screenpix or elsewhere.

Wikipedia tells me that there was a BluRay release a few years ago.

elmore, I've said it six times - things are being fixed - it's complicated, this was a major move, it still isn't quite complete, which is why avatars come and go for no reason. Please be patient, which I've also asked of everyone several times.
