Okay, I'm all caught up!  I'm staying at the Hotel Allegro at the corner of Randolph and State, right in the middle of the theatre district:  WICKED is at the Oriental, Billy Crystal was just (I think) at the Crystal Palace (?), the Goodman is doing PURLIE, and Julie Andrews' THE BOYFRIEND opens next week.

...

DRJose, tell Todd Ellison I send my love as well.  Bye for now!

DR elmore - I know exactly where you are!  Great location!  Marshall Fields is just a few blocks away - be sure to give their "food court" a try - it's pretty amazing.  And there's a steak house, Nick & Stef's a few blocks away too, right by the river.  *If you make a reservation their through your hotel's concierge desk, they usually comp your dessert.

And when Mr. Ellison pops back in, I will be sure to pass on your greetings.

Jose, maybe you could write a Journal here on HHW like Juliana did when she was in Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Hmm... I guess I'm already doing that.  ;)

Of course, I'm betting most of the stuff I would like to write about and post would most likely get me reprimanded, scorned, shunned and/or beat up.

::)

-But since we're only two days in, I can assure that nothing like "that" has happened.  So far.

;)

Well, since I will actually be playing during the rehearsal tomorrow/today... in a few hours(!), I guess I should get some sleep.  Sleep is good.

Goodnight.

Why is Jose not saying hello to Miss Carmello for ME?  And Mr. Ellison for ME?  And Mr. Tunick for ME?  I don't know from Elton John, so he doesn't have to say hello to Eltie for me, but he best send my regards to anyone else I know.

Yesterday at work, we had a Halloween costume contest and goodie break.  I took a few pictures, but I'll only post my picture (I don't know if my co-workers would want their picture posted on the Internet without their knowledge).  Anyway I dressed as a tourist and took pictures with my niece's disposable camera.  Here I am:

My niece took this picture at her house yesterday morning, before I left for work. ;D

MBarnum, did Tony Russell talk about doing dinner theatre with Kathyrn Crosby?  I believe he was playing her leading man when my friend Larry Drake was touring with her.  Didn't he come close to getting the Sergio Leone westerns that Clint Eastwood ultimately did?

Took a nice hot shower and feel very relaxed now, like a gazelle on a featherbed.
