Good news (for myself and der Brucer): the ep of Lost that's being re-run tonight is the ep we missed while we were on DR Jose's NYC Walking Tour!  The new recorder decided to go into power-save mode, and never recorded the show.

And there's a new ep of Good Eats following Lost: this week, Alton makes avocado ice cream and avocado buttercream icing.   :D

Well, I managed to get everything packaged, and furthermore, I managed to get everything shipped except for eight packages, because I simply had no more room in the two boxes that I could lug myself.  The eight will go out tomorrow, no prob.  Of course, I made sure that all the hainsies/kimlets orders went out in today's huge batch.

Hello from Chez Vixter!  The Vixter & I both thank you for your kind thoughts.

She is feeling a little better but sounds very much like a little Sally Kellerman which is both cute and somewhat unsettling at the same time.....

Did they mention that Chitty will be closing having lost its entire rather large investment?

vixmom - tell the vixter we love her and to get better soon so I can hear her sing my SONG!

We had a beautiful night for Halloween here, very mild, around 70 degrees, and no wind.  We live on a main road anad we decorate... we have a lighted halloween archway over the path , a graveyard complete with bones, skulls and fog machine,  walking skeleton steps, and disembodied heads on the front porch that are sound activated and leap and screech if you get near them.

We get a LOT of trick  or treaters!  Vixdad dressed in a black robe and a scull mask and skull hands and comes out with the candy and quizzes the children about why they're there ,  kids without costumes get one peice of candy, kids in costumes get a handful.

We usually decorate more than we did this year,  but it was so rainy hti s ointh the spider webs and swinging ghosts didin't make it up

However sonce most of the houses on the block didn't even get anything up becasue of the rain we still were one of the, most decorated houses around.

I just let the Vixter read your post.  She said. "Tell bk that I think of him as a benefactor.  I love the song and I think its wonderful but when can I have the sheet music?"

Bruce - That's great news about the CD's getting out.

And thanks to everyone who ordered.  I guess it's really out in the world now, no turning back.

We have some birthday cake left over from last Friday...it was a really good carrot cake...on Friday.

It has been in the refrigerator here in the office since that date.  I took it out today and had a piece.

Not bad...a tad on the dryish side.

But its remains get trashed at close of business!

According to the little blurb in this morning's paper, it was Bing Crosby who gave Skitch Henderson his nickname, for the reasons noted above.  Bing of course also tried to get Frances Farmer the Florida Orange Juice national spokesperson gig (no joke), but that didn't quite work out.   ;D

I can understand why, too.  They needed someone who actually HAD been lobotomized.  So, Anita Bryant was the  winner!

So true, DR JMK.  Mr Crosby was for many years a spokesperson for Minute Maid Orange Juice, and Frances would have been on TV for one of their newer Frozen Orange Juice concentrates at $50,000 per year, if ONLY that MM executive had not asked her what Tyrone Power was "really" like.

Frances closed the meeting down with her reply - much like Faye AS Joan in the Pepsi board meeting.

I have on my office wall a wonderful calendar from a certain Ozian. November shows a shot of Collins Street. I think it's in Melbourne. There have been some beautiful pictures.

At home we have a World Wildlife Fund calendar with great animal pictures.

Why, my Ozian calendar (or calendaur) has, for the month of November, a breathtaking photo of Steven King (and I don't mean the writer).  He is one of the stars of Austalian football.

What I wanna know is, who the heck is the spokesman nowadays?

Or did the orange growers decide that enough was enough?
