Or both, but now I'm sated...er...umm...satisfied.

And it's off to the kitchen.

Play nicely!

TOD:

Whenever I hear the words "boy group" I tend to think of cheesy, bubblegum music, so nothing is immediately coming to mind.  I kind of confuzed by some of the choices people are making--a lot of these bands are out of the age range I would consider as boys.  What's the criteria for a boy group?

Well, who would have thought, but, the two interviews today actually turned into three - I got through the first interview with Bonnie at Borders (love the alliteration) and she asked me to stay an extra hour so that Terri could also interview me.  Now, all that is left is for Stephanie to go through my references (and Steph is the one who called me for the interview) and by November 18, I'll know whether or not I am officially a Borders' employee.

many thanks for the thoughts, prayers and vibes. . . many, many thanks indeed!

So which Borders?

Canadian/US or US/Mexican?

It means God's little body!

And who said we are NOT an educational site. I just learned something.

But why was God's body little?

However, in reference to other people's choices:  my high school English teacher is Bread's David Gates' cousin.  In fact, Mr. Gates (my teacher, that is) told us that fact the same day that he announced he had gotten engaged.  Guess which subject was more interesting to us.  And my ex-brother-in-law was speech therapist to the two eldest Osmond kids, who are deaf (no, I don't think they were in the band  :P).  And DS Betsy got to meet 3 of the 4 Monkees during their reunion tour when they did an in-person at the Milwaukee radio station where she was news anchor.  Pretty exciting, eh?

And to think, I actually have met both of you!

Odds bodkins!

Well, I had God right but I was incorrect about "little body"; here's what I learned:

A bodkin was originally a small, slender dagger usually hidden amidstthe layers of clothing worn during the Elizabethan period. The word "bod" is speculated to be of Celtic origin; probably from the archaic Welsh "bidog"...dagger. The "kin" in bodkin is most likely the diminutive form. Ods bodkins was used as a mild expletive and can be heard sprinkled liberaly throughout the works of Shakespear; most notably by my favorite character Sir John Falstaff. Ods bodkins refers to God's little dagger with which He pricked the unwary.

So, what's the orchestration question?

I just spoke to Dylan's roommate:  mononucleosis!  I guess it beats all of Nurse Jane's horrifying diagnoses, but I will check on him later to see what treatment is recommended.

It's 9:00 est here in the east.  In just 12 hours, CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS will be available for purchase.  I can barely contain myself.

Hello, DRs, I'm back from my casting session, and it went very very well!  The director is THRILLED with everything, we narrowed it down to four boys and four girls, and I feel really good about it!  I really needed a day like this, it totally boosted my confidence and was an affirmation that I made the right choice.  I felt competent, organized, creative, and it was a good day's work.  Now I just need to figure out how to get more gigs, ones that pay!

Looking forward to callbacks!

I made a conscious decision to move 40 miles away from my family's home once I had saved enough money to be able to rent an apartment, buy furniture, and not have to eat soap three meals a day. I loved my family, but it was very important for me to have privacy, and in the town where they lived (and where I lived with them after college while working on my master's degree), I would have had NO privacy at all.

Oh Lord, Matt, I hope you meant soup.

Congratulations on your day, Joy.  Let me know when you start collecting resumes of middle-aged actors with Richard Burton quality voices.
