Watched two enjoyable shows this afternoon after I returned home from lunch.

First up was VERONICA MARS and it's getting more and more complicated in sorting out exactly who all the people are that Veronica is quietly investigating in her attempt to discover the perpetrator of the bus calamity.

The weekly cases she's involved in are always quirky and fun, but the bigger picture of the season-long mystery sometimes puts my brain into overload with all these people.

Better go. I've got work to do.   Plus, our temps keep calling in sick or not showing up....what's with that? You get a temp job and then just don't go? No phone call nada. What's with these people. Don't say yes if you aren't going to show up!!!

Then I watched LAW & ORDER recorded last night.

My, what a great group of stage actors appearing on the show last night including Terry Mann and Stephen Lang. Love both of them. Interesting case, too.

Who here uses a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse?

I have a question: how long do batteries typically last in the keyboard and mouse? A month? Longer?

The part that most impressed me is your ability to go to a party and especially to have a drink of wine without depseratley wanting a cigarette, that was the hardest thing for me

I have a wireless mouse (not keyboard) and I use two double-A batteries.  I've had it a little less than a year and I've only had to change the batteries once...and not too long ago.  It was a Logitec brand.  Hope that helps.

Thanks, that's just the kind of information I was looking for. A friend went looking at these today, and there was a Logitech model that I liked (keyboard and mouse) which was $50 off, and I immediately put on my CHristmas list. But if the batteries were going to be flaking out after a week or two, I was going to have to invest in more rechargeable batteries.

Yep!  I saw it months later in Washington DC...still playing first-run on a 70 mm screen.

It took my breath away...and then some.  So few people now can appreciate how stunning and groundbreaking this film was cinematically -- aural and visual splendors the likes of which only our imaginations could have previously envisioned.
