Jason - I'm so glad you're 29 now.  When you were 28, I was old enough to be your father.  I feel like I've gotten younger as you've gotten older.

When you're my age, that type of logic will make sense.  :)

This is my first post as a 29-year old. The Greek called me at midnight. He was the first person to officially wish me happy birthday.  :-\

EDIT: I'm not sure if I told the truth or not - The Greek called and I turned around to notice an IM from DR Jose wishing me a happy birthday. I'm not sure which got there first, but it doesn't really matter - it was a lovely gesture from both. :)

A PAGE 29, I MEAN PAGE 9, DANCE FOR JASON'S BIRTHDAY

It's late and I don't want to disturb the neighbors, so imagine the birthday dance here.

It just occurred to me that in 365 1/4 days I will enter my 30's. Wow...so many things to accomplish before then!

I just looked it up.  They called it "Zorba's Dance."

I have seen Cathy Rigby's PETER PAN three times.  I thought that this production was the strongest one she has done.  "Ugh a Wug" in this production is a real showstopper.  The new company that is flying Cathy (no longer Fly by Foy) got her to within inches of the balcony at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theater.  Lord only knows where she will end up at MSG.

Thanks, everyone, for the birthday wishes. It's going to be a long day tomorrow - SEE WHAT I WANNA SEE and THE COLOR PURPLE - so I better take a shower and hit the hay.

Buenos nachos!

Is PETER PAN actually at MSG or at the Theater at MSG? IIRC, the Theater at MSG isn't that much more vast than the Gershwin, where Rigby did the show recently.

Oops. my bad, the Theater at MSG holds 5600 to the Gershwin's approx. 2000.  I guess that's a little more vast.  But it sure doesn't feel that way.

VISITING MR. GREEN was enjoyable if not riveting. The actor playing Ross had some irritating mannerisms and whined too much in the part, but I enjoyed the actor playing Mr. Green very much.

We went out for desserts afterwards, and I had what is called a Carmel Ice Cream Dream. I ate the WHOLE thing all by myself, but as I did without my usual ice cream this afternoon, I felt entitled!

Driving to the theater, I put in the Rhino soundtrack to MGM's GIGI. My goodness, compared to the soundtrack album of this movie I've listened to for years on LP, this CD has TWICE as much music. I haven't finished with it yet at all. Just got through "I Remember It Well." Looking forward to enjoying the rest of it each time I get in the car over the next few days.

And now, it's past 1 a.m. here on the East Coast, so I'm heading for bed.

Good night, all!

Back from The Drowsy Chaperone and opening night party - exhausted, but must now have a bite to eat, then write the notes, which won't go up until about 12:30 or thereabouts.

The reason there is no Kritzerland link is because Mr. Mark Bakalor is a very busy boy.  I shall ask him to do one, and perhaps he can get around to it.
