As for the Topic of the Day...

I loved playing Soccer when I was younger.  Even played for a season or two on a junior league team.

I also played Little League Baseball for another season or two, but since I had a big fear of being hit in the eye, skull, head, etc. when catching a fly ball, I was not the best fielder.  Heck, I was not even the best hitter.

When my family lived in Seattle, we used to go Mariners' games on a semi-regular basis at the now-razed King Dome.  I'm still hoping to go to a Red Sox game at Fenway since I'm a Red Sox Game by birth.  ;)

Whew!  Well.....lord have mercy....I need my smelling salts.   Thanks for the pictures DRJOSE!

There were LOTS of people buying lots of things today at Ye World of Wisdom, but I did no "extra" things - so it was a salary only day for me.  But then to have a salary is at least something.

DRJANE - I feel your pain!  I hope the kitchen gets done post haste!  To your specifications!

Happy Birthday, DR divarobbie.

DRMACCHUS - which script of the ODD COUPLE that you worked on is your favorite?  Who was best at "getting" the line the way you wrote it:  Mr Klugman or Mr Randall?

Mr Bisque - even if you can't find all your children, you must know that they have good homes with people who love them....most of my CD's with your name included in the credits are in the FRONT of the bin!

So now that we have all perused the SUPERMAN first season DVD set....which episode is your favorite?

I really like "Rescue" and "Mystery of the Wax Museum" and "Riddle of the Chinese Jade" and "The Secret of Superman" - presses to choose A FAVORITE it would be "Wax Museum."

Phyllis Coates was terrific and she and George Reeves had a wonderful chemistry.

So... Tomorrow is my day off.  And I'm trying to decide whether I'm actually going to take it off, or get some work done of my keyboard part and programming.  First orchestra read is Thursday, so...  I guess I'll just see what time I wake up and go from there.

There's a collection jar at the door.  They're just waiting for you to pick it up in person.

Okay, something really scary happened at work today, and I think I can talk about it now.   Does anyone want to hear the story.

Hi all, I'm home and FINALLY caught up reading the posts. It was hell not having a computer other than the one in my father's bedroom which I could use, but usually with him watching over my shoulder, so I just gave up. He wasn't being nosy, he's just interested in learning more about the computer, but I had people watching over my shoulder!

Okay, thanks DRCILLALIZ.  8)

There were several people in the store, and a small boy came in with his father.  The boy was probably about six years old.  He was interested in the stones and gems and his father held him up so he could see them all, and read the guide for him so he would know which stone was for what....

I handed him a white moonstone and said he could have it (we often give away a gem to a new customer).  A bit later he came up to the register with three other stones.  I rung them up and put them in a stone bag and then a brown paper bag for him.  I asked him his name....."Delarosa" he said.  "Michael Delarosa."  I told him if he was a Sagittarius he could have an additional 10% discount, but his father said: "He is an Aquarius."  Okay.

"3.18"  Michael Delarosa reached into the pockets of his jeans and pulled out a small wallet.  He gave me three ones and two dimes.  As I handed him back his change, I looked at his face!!

He had DEVIL EYEBROWS!!!!  They started at the center of his face and went in a diagonal line straight UP his forehead.  It was scary.

well I'm off to bed.  We had the warm temps today, it's now raining, and tonight it will turn to ice and snow by morning with strong winds. I had already planned to take tomorrow off, so I don't really care, but I'm glad to be inside where it's nice and warm.

Never fear, dear TCB, I am here to post about the DVDs and TV shows I have watched tonight. It's a fair list of titles.
