***A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR OWN DR JANE!!!***

May your day be filled with love, laughter, and cake.  And may DH Keith have the kindness to take back the cold and replace it with a more suitable gift :)

Kind of a slow week next week for DVD releases, but I did notice that next week features the release of THE FIVE PENNIES.

DR Jose, my throat is feeling much better. In fact it has not hurt for 4 days.  But I was getting this terrible drip in my throat at night.  But no drip last night!

I think I am feeling okay. It's very hard to tell though with these antibiotics making me feel so lousy. But tonight is my last one!

And depending on how i feel tonight, I may even get to touch my baby niece!  Since I've had no sore throat for 4 days, and no drip last night. I think all my symptoms are long gone.  But if I'm feeling even a little bad I will wait till Friday to hold her.

Re: TAR

I didn't know it would not be back till March but that is fine. We need a break between shows.

Comments on next week's show:  Yeah they are finally leaving the US again!  And I saw Montreal's Olympic Stadium in the preview.  My sis called me this morning and said she saw the same thing.  I knew they were coming here.  But it will be so exciting to see.

Comment's on last night's show:
.
.
.

I was mad the Linz Family missed the top prize again. :(
I was also mad that the Weavers did not finish last.
But I was getting sick of the sister team. I mean their griping on the golf course was most likely the cause of their demise.

Next week's show 2 HOURS.

Can we say who we want to win.

Me the Linz Family. The the Bransens.  My sis says that the Weavers can probably use the money the most. And she wonders if they are just editing them to be the villains.

I suppose that is possible.  But I often like teams who others might not like.  And I did like the Weavers in the first episodes. BUt it drives me crazy how they say they are Christian. Yet the belittle and make fun of every other team. That is not Christian behavior!

BK I do not understand how licensing/royalties work when you  are recording a CD.

For example,  when Mr. Haines recorded his last CD did you have to contact each and every songwriter to get permission or can you just record any old song you want?

Correct! This week and next week are new episodes, and then the show will disappear until it comes back to show its remaining eight or nine episodes in the spring.

Just got an email from my roommate. The landlady called her because the landlady erased my phone number from her phone. Anyway...the answer is: NO PETS. :(

I celebrated DRJANE's birthday by having a new tire put on my car.  It drives so much better now.....I didn't realize it was in such bad shape until I took a glance at it Monday and saw threads and bands!!

Whew!

Threads and bands,
Threads and bands,
Dah dah dah dah dah dah dah
On Christmas Day.

There's a song there, I think.

Has anyone noticed that Chapstick prices are really high?

Just a regular tube is something like $1.99.  A tube of moisturizing balm (Chapstick brand) is $2.49 in my local drugstore.

I'm appalled.

And my lips may chafe a bit because of it.

I started off Jane's birthday by stopping at a local ATM for cash and then stopping at a Shell Station for gas.  $2.43/gallon.

That's what I call a bargain nowadays!

And I'm celebrating Jane's birthday right now with a cafe latte.

Hits the spot on this very brisk morning in Oakland CA.

I'll have to give some thought to where I'll have a celebratory lunch in her honor.

Last Night's AMAZIN' RACE

***  Spoiler Warning  ***

That had to be the saddest elimination ever.   I mean, it wasn't unexpected, but the fact that all the sisters felt like their relationships will not change and that they don't feel any different about each other is just so sad.  They might have bickered a lot (a LOT!), but they did come in first at least three times that I can think of--that is not bad at all!  Such a shame that they feel this way.

I'm also sorry that the Linzes came in second--again!  Even more sorry that the Weaver brood managed to get into the final three.  Honestly, at this point--I'm predicting that the Branson family will win the race.

I'll be glad that this particular AMAZIN' RACE will be over and I look forward to March when they go back to the two-person teams that race around the world.  Hopefully they won't decide to try something else cute like CELEBRITY AMAZIN' RACE.

The DREAMGIRLS teaser trailer is up online!  ;D

http://www.dreamgirls.dreamworks.com/

That is Jennifer Holiday singing, I think.  Release date December, 2006.

AND between now and then - Geffen will pay the performance royalities for ANY non-professional production of DREAMGIRLS!!  8)

Maybe we should do an HHW production!  Although some of our members are professionals....they could work outside their sister unions on other jobs!   ;D

"And I am telling you.....HAMMMMMMMMMMM not goooooo-ing!!!"  :P
