Ice cream and cake - that's the ticket.  I wonder what I shall be having for dinner.  I'm being taken to a restaurant that I'm not familiar with, therefore I'm in the dark as to what they serve and whether it will be pleasing to the tastebuds.

So far this is the best tribute to Richard Pryor I have read: http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/entertainment/13384812.htm

The night Keith and I graduated from high school, in 1967, Richard Pryor entertained at our grad night party.  At the time I had no idea who he was, just that he was hysterical.

Since there's only three people in the jernt, I'm thinkin' not too quickly.  Oh, there will be a bitch-slapping to remember, that much I can tell you - especially on a birthday day.

Anybody want to join us for ice cream and cake?

Ice cream AND cake!

I'm heading out to the airport now!  Yum!
(Well, at least in my dreams).

It's that time--I have to go get my bath to get ready to go to school err work.  It feels like it sometimes.  I rode the bus to school and now I catch one to work.  The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Have a lovely warm evening evening everyone!   :-*

Ginny dessert sounds yummy.  Is that Bill Knapp’s chocolate cake?  Occasionally we ate at a Bill Knapp’s when we lived in Michigan.

Ginny in honor of your birthday I ate leftover birthday cake.  I really didn’t feel like eating ice cream cake when my cold was at its worst.

I'm watching the TV movie entitled 21 Hours to Munich, the 1976 version of the Olympic events that form the plot of Munich.  It's quite TV movie-ish, but compelling nonetheless.

I shall now be on my way to a birthday dinner at a restaurant I'm not familiar with - pray for Rosemary's Baby.

Oh, and keep the home fries burning until my returning, those of you who are sitting there like so much fish.

We did set one sort of record today - one response to a topic of the day.  Tomorrow's topic will be much more popular with the populace.

I'm glad you had such a wonderful day, DR Ginny.

I can't believe that so many people have their panties in a wad about something as simple as " Merry Christmas".  Bah.  Humbug.
Panties?  These are people who wear scratchy long johns in August.

And that's the women!

I really don't like to talk about Jason.  So much for the TOD.

Keep moving toward Page Five.

I am sure DR JOSE will be around soon to let us know how the TWO shows today went.

Whew!  That's a REAL doubleheader!

This morning, I saw "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."  We got to the theater at about 8:55 a.m. and the movie itself started at about 9:30.  It was very, very good.  The CGI effects, the acting...even from the voice actors...were all great.  The story was boiled down to a simple story and was very effective.  I can't wait to see if the rest of the books are filmed! ;D

I'd be watching something but der B has been hogging the TV ever since we got home.  I won't be able to watch anything I want to watch until he gets tired of hogging the TV and goes to bed.

Phooey.

I might as well go to bed and read.

(Yes, this does happen.)

I may title my next novel The Bitches are Barking.

Obviously about dogs.

At least it's alliterative.

I should explain.

Der B loves crime dramas.  I find them redundant, for the most part, and exploitative of the worst of the human conditition.

For this reason, I call them his "happy shows."

Bleh, and double bleh.

I'm salivating for all the details about BK's dinner tonight.

Yes, that's the right verb.
