Ask BK:  why do Messrs. Schmidt & Jones not like the Philemon OCR?  It is one of my most treasured LPs, despite the pressing being this side of hideous.  :)  Can't wait to hear the CD, though.  Philemon and Celebration are probably my two mostest favorite S/J scores, though 110 is up there, too.

What is the BEST and WORST fan letters you have ever received, and what made them so....

I don't know quite why they're so vehement about it, but they really don't like it - they prefer the TV soundtrack.  Unfortunately, the sound is mono and not that good, but you get more dialogue and stuff.

My REAL question for ASK BK day:

I've gotten so many wonderful letters over the years, both from the acting days and then the producing days.  I got one wonderful letter in the late 80s from a gal in Florida who was a huge fan of mine, especially from The Partridge Family.  She said while all the other little girls had crushes on David Cassidy, she had a crush on me.  Also, got a sweet Nudie fan letter from someone in Chicago who told me there was a John Smithee Fan Club there.

I don't know that I've ever received a "worst" fan letter.  While at Varese I did get a couple of letters where people took exception to something or other, and I always wrote back and in the instances I'm remembering, won them over.

Michael Lerned is currently playing a patient on SCRUBS.  And while waiting for a bus in Kingston NY the day after Hurrican Floyd, I met Ralph Waite (who got tired of waiting and jumped on a bus for parts unknown.)

Neat on meeting Ralph Waite...

Yep!  Off to NYPL now.  The colonoscopy report was excellent, although the photos of the trip were gross.
Good news.. Will use the photographs on this year's Christmas cards?

Benny Hill had a #1 record in the UK and OZ with "Ernie".  It didn't make it in the USA!

Is there any possibility of making a whole new recording with a studio cast with even more dialogue than either of the previous recordings?  Or do they specifically (only) want to re-release that TV soundtrack?

Had a delightful lunch with two friends and got home in time to watch a scary CSI: MIAMI episode on DVD with guest star Eric Roberts playing a death row inmate. I did see this episode when it originally aired but not since and had totally forgotten about it. Very disturbing episode.

Overnight, I recorded the Biography episode on Carol Burnett. I was hoping there would be some footage from the first ONCE UPON A MATTRESS or JULIE AND CAROL AT CARNEGIE HALL (or LINCOLN CENTER), but no MATTRESS clips at all and a couple of seconds from CARNEGIE HALL.

The Biography stopped at Carol's return in MOON OVER BUFFALO, so the other career and life highs and lows since then weren't there, weren't updated. (The Biography on Angela Lansbury had been updated since the original aired including the death of husband Peter Shaw. This Carol episode had not been touched.)

I finished up my afternoon viewing with COURTING ALEX from Monday night. Perfectly pleasant people in a mundane sitcom. Nothing wrong with it other than just not being terribly funny to me.

However, it's scoring a bit higher ratings than my favorite OUT OF PRACTICE did in the time slot, so I'm not sure what that means for its fate.

I read that CBS had only ordered six episodes of ALEX, but now that it's done well enough in two airings, I wouldn't be surprised if they keep it on and plug OUT OF PRACTICE in somewhere else when it comes back in March (IF it comes back).

Philemon - "The Streets Of Antioch Stink"  and "I'd Do Almost Anything To Get Out Of Here and Go Home" may have reflected the audience response (48 performances).

I quite like the Cd.
