It's Friday....and it's glorious outside.  And lunch beckons in about an hour....today...Szechuan...at the Shan Dong (not a word about that name, TCB) Restaurant!

Sweeney Todd has arrived at our doorstep.

And the French Onion Soup has cooked (except for the croutons and the baking in the crocks, of course...that takes place tonight!)

Maybe instead of Sweeney I should put on a recording of Soup-histicated Lady.

And now, because der B has an errand he needs me to run with him before work, I must be off...

DR Ginny your post reminded me that the Opening Ceremonies are on here live now.

Will there be any live coverage of the Olympics in the US? Or is everything tape delay?

Here they do both. They have everything live on the CBC, and then they also do what NBC does by showing the good stuff at night.

No snowstorm here but it is extremely cold. I think they said it was the coldest night of the year (something like -20C). Brrr.

"The Best of the Tony Awards: The Plays" is the only title that I could find, but it has a 2004 date, so I don't really know if it is part of the same series.  I couldn't find it on the usual places that I order, so I added it to my Netflix queue.

That is probably the correct title, DR George.  It is basically a compendium of the Best Play clips they used to do on the Tonys.  The odd thing is the date, because I thought the DVD was just produced last year.  In any case, let us know if you enjoy it (or not.)

I actually prefer the CBC coverage... Less Yakking and more action...

You can keep the cold Jennifer... It is cold enough here. We have finally crawled above 0 Fahrenhiet. We had -12 Fahrenheit last week.

I'd heard that there will be 24-1/2 hours of Olympic coverage everyday, spread over the various NBC stations, so I'm sure that quite a bit will be live...but repeated for primetime coverage on the official network of "NBC."

Diet Coke has returned and all is well with the world.

Got our notes - virtually almost no changes - one VO line, and one word and fixing a couple of too-quick cuts.  And that's that.

Good Afternoon!

Hmmm... Well, I just need to clear off and pack up my "desk" here, and I'll be all set to go.  I finally got over not getting on the road by 10:00am this morning, but I'm over that... basically.  ;)

I also realized that I do want to be up there next week, and it looks like if I headed up on Monday, it could actually be a bit tricky with the snow on the ground.  So...

I should be hitting the road in about an hour, and, Good Traffic Vibes would be appreciated.

Laters...

Just get your butt up here.  I've had no one to be mean to  since you and Barnum left town!

The best part is that they bought the lengths of the two spots.  They originally wanted a :15 and a :30, but I was told if I wanted to go to a : 30 and a :45 that that wasn't a prob.  I ended up doing a :30 and a :60 just because it felt really good and never seemed like it WAS those lengths.  My editor, having done many of these, was sure their note would be to cut them down, and he was delighted that we don't have to, as am I.
