Well, you've read the notes, the notes were droopy, and now it is time for you to post until the droopy-eyed cows come home.

I was so tired that I forgot to wish everyone a happy St. Paddy's Day.  We must all do the wearin' of the green and we must all talk in an Irish brogue all the livelong day.

Oh, my. Will it be a quiet Saint Patrick's Day here? Perhaps people have taken placebos thinking they are Happy Saint Patrick Day pills. I'm the third post at 7:32 am and no one else is around!!!

Hmm...

I think I played that Rodgers & Hart CD of Barbara Cook sometime in the past week.  That's been about it.

I have the OCR for Grease, the OCR for Mame, the almost OCR for A Grand Night for Singing (produced by the ever glorious BK), the OOBCR for Forever Plaid (that's Original Off-Broadway Cast Recording for those of you wondering about my acronym), the OCR for Follies, the OCR (Broadway Deluxe Collector's Edition) for Fiddler on the Roof, the OCR for Annie and the OCR for Anyone Can Whistle.

We don't have anything in the VRC or DVD although we may finally begin to watch Angels in America. Anthony's mom taped it when it was originally broadcast and it has been sitting (I know it's a LONG time ago) waiting to be watched. It's a long one though and you don't just jump into AIA. Perhaps this weekend we will watch Part I. Who knows?

Friday morning greetings!  I'm up early to report for duty at 9:45am at the used book sale.  Last night was the preview party, where we charged $5 admission.  In 4 hours we made about $1000 - it's a scholarship fundraiser.  We still have today, tomorrow, and Sunday afternoon.  After we closed last night, 6 of us went to Applebee's, where I had a Blue Moon and a Santa Fe Chicken Salad.

TOD:

CD - Bette Midler Sings the Peggy Lee Songbook

DVD - Junebug, Rent, and What a Girl Wants

VCR - nothing

Some of the reviews are in for Entertaining Mr. Sloane, the Roundabout's next entry (Off-Broadway) in their season. The reviews are decidedly mixed. Oh, well. Not surprised. Every so often Roundabout hits a home run but 9 times out of 10 their productions are stuck in the middle, ranging from truly embarrassing (The Women) to just plain mediocre (not walk out at intermission bad, just kind of tedious).

Yesterday while I was shopping, I decided to buy new pillows since the ones I had were NOT comfortable.  So I bought two JUMBO flannel pillows.  And then I bought two new pillowcases.

And then I decided I would also buy new sheets, and then I bought a comforter and a new blanket.  So now I am sleeping ALL new for the first time in many years.  Mostly mint green, although the sheets are percale with some kind of white flower stitching.  Very pretty - and comfortable.

New sheets and pillows are better than a placebo.

DRMBARNUM I watched that Lucy Marlow movie last night. She was very funny and "sang" and danced a bit.  I was kind of surprised that she showed up in a gangster musical directed by Blake Edwards, but there she was!

I have been very errant, and quite truant.  And I have no regrets.  Regrets are pricey, so I don't bother with 'em.

I have been quite busy at work.  One of my co-workers, a very large Greek named Mike, is on medical leave, as he has had his shoulder replaced.  This is after having had both hips replaced prior to my meeting him.  Nice that he has a hobby.  Anyway, we're one regular cashier short, but we're also training the staff for a new store that's opening both nearby and soon.  I've been training a young fellow named Mike.  There's a lot of Mikes around here, for some reason.  In any case, like I said, busy at work.

And der Brucer is itching to add to the family again.  We've been taking puppy pix for him to post at the rescue website.  And he's been fishing for a relocate-the-pooch drive.  What he really wants is for us to foster another dog.  The house feels empty without Peggy.

Yesterday was my day off.  I spent much of it sleeping.

And that's where I've been.

Today, I shall be wearing a foot-tall St. Patrick's Day hat when I am at work.  It is very silly looking.
