Well, dear readers, as I write these here notes the site is down again – I have now informed the powers that be that I am officially irritated, and something must be done about it. I have no idea when I’ll be able to post these here notes. Well, it just came back up so now I have to write these here notes in a hurry because for the past five hours I’ve been working with Marshall and his editor friend on Drat! The Cat! We were able to help the color and contrast and also replace a couple of things by using a later performance video – not much of that, and all for stuff I fixed during the run. I am now officially exhausted on top of officially irritated. Anyway, I at least have a video record of the show and the performances. I did make me miss the show. Prior to all that Dratting and Catting, I got seven hours of sleep, got up, answered many e-mails, shaved and showered and then I moseyed on over to the Robin Hood Pub, just a few minutes from the home environment. It’s also a mere two blocks from where Muse Margaret used to live. I’ve driven by it forever and yet it never occurred to me to go in there. Why? I had lunch meeting. So many menu items were tantalizing, but I opted for a BLTA on white toast because I wanted something light. It was very good. But there are many dishes I must try so I’ll be going back there soon – shepherd’s pie, avocado stuffed with bay shrimp, a proper English breakfast, and several other good-sounding items. Also, right next door they have a proper British emporium with proper English candies not available here. Especially of interest is anything chocolate because unlike here they use real chocolate. I bought a few fun items because I could. The meeting was fun. After that, I came right home, did a little writing, then sat on my couch like so much fish, just to relax. Of course, I dozed right off for an hour. Once back up, I did a bit more writing and then we began our Dratting and Catting. Thanks to having a proper British pub luncheon, I was feeling veddy veddy British all day, a proper English gentleman doing proper English things like chewing on a Pepcid. We did take a short food break – we got some smash burgers and fries. I only ate a couple of fries and a burger, which was filling and veddy good in a non-British sort of way. Completely different to bangers and mash. Then I went to haineshisway.com and saw it was down, contacted our host and here we are, rushing to the finish line, notes-wise.
Today, I’ll be up when I’m up, I’ll do whatever needs doing, mostly I’ll write, then at some point I’ll connect with Marshall to get the hard drive back and it will have our final version of the video on it, then we may go out for a bite. Then at some point I’ll watch, listen, and relax.
Tomorrow is my video visit with my PCP, otherwise it’s just more writing. Fridy, I have a dinner thing to go to, and Sunday will be a haircut day.
