CLOSER THAN EVER

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, I am sitting here like so much fish, knowing I will probably have to talk about something I really don’t want to talk about and I’m close to doing it, probably in the next few days. Sometimes you just gotta do what you just gotta do and that’s all there is to it. Right now, I am listening to some Philippe Rombi musique, which is very soothing. Soothing is good when things are weighing heavily on your mind. Speaking weighing heavily, yes, I must lose weight and lose it sooner than later and I’ll be addressing that with my PCP today in terms of doing the pill version of Ozempic – I don’t think I’d have it in me to inject myself with the shot version, although I may see if a friend would do it for me once a week. Said friend has lost thirty pounds already. I need to lose no less than sixty. Anyway, enough with that malarkey. I did manage to watch a motion picture last evening entitled I’ll Be Watching, a thriller from 2023. It’s not very good, but I kept going just to see how they’d wrap it up, because for its first eighty minutes it’s just basically Gaslight. But then we get a – wait for it – TWIST that is so ludicrously ludicrous that it’s ludicrous. The most shocking thing about the film is the brief appearance of the only person anyone might have heard of – David Keith. He’s not even recognizable. Then again, neither am I. Prior to the motion picture, I did get ten hours of sleep, so that was nice. Once up, I answered e-mails, I ordered some penne in pink sauce from a new-to-me jernt – it arrived very quickly, and it was okay, not great. But most of the day and evening was spent finalizing the song choices and assigning them – it really took a long time. Then I began sending the music and mp3s or links to YouTube. I still have three songs to choose and I’m going to have to think outside the box for those because nothing we’ve done before in the young people shows is fitting the bill. Actually, why should I be concerned about what fits bill? What about what fits ME. That’s what I’M talkin’ about. Anyway, at least I’ve got most of it chosen and I’ll get the rest of the folks their material today and that will be off my well-worn plate. Not very exciting these here notes, but then there is a LOT swimming around in my cranium these days. And I don’t care who knows it.

Today, I’ll be up when I’m up, I’ll write my PCP about Ozempic, I’ll choose the final three songs and get the rest of the performers their music, I’ll eat something light and easy, no fuss, no muss, no pasta, no bread, so most likely soup and salad would do the damn trick, then I’m attending an opening night and the after party, albeit briefly for the after party.

Not sure what I’ll do on the weekend, but I suppose I’ll find out soon enough.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up when I’m up, write my PCP, choose the final three songs, get the rest of the music where it’s going, eat either soup or salad, attend an opening night and after party, and then come home. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Friday – what is currently in your CD player and your DVD/Blu and Ray player? I’ll start – no idea. Your turn. Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, knowing I’m closer than ever to breaking my silence.
