Well, dear readers, I am here by the hair on my chinny chin chin. Wait, isn’t that a Sherman Brothers song? Chin chinny chin, Chin chinny chin, Chin chin-cheree, the hair on the chin is so stubble-dee-dee. No, that’s wrong. No, I, BK, am here by the hair on my chinny chin chin even though I have no hair on my chinny chin chin. I have some on my heady head head, though. In any case, I’m here, as is my chinny chin chin. What am I, the three little pigs all of a sudden? I had a horrible night’s sleep, maybe four hours, nauseous the entire time, just awful. Once up from that awfulness, I answered e-mails as they came in, showered, and then moseyed on over to Paty’s for food with Robert Yacko. I needed something mild and I got the perfect thing – two small scoops of turkey salad on lettuce, with avocado and some chopped up celery. It was excellent. We had a nice chat, and then I ascertained that there was no reason to stop at the mail place, so I went right home to write. Only, I just too tired from lack of sleep. I did futz and finesse a few things and I did write a couple of paragraphs. And then I sat on my couch like so much fish and watched the live telecast of the Broadway play version of the film Good Night and Good Luck, starring George Clooney, who directed the movie. It flowed very well, and the actors were all good and it ran a crisp ninety minutes in one act. What I could not abide was the audience of what sounded like high schoolers cheering the school play. About the broadcast itself, they didn’t augment the lighting so I thought some of it was a bit dark and the sound was a bit weird. Don’t know if they were miked – if they had body mics they were very well hidden. The video elements were done very well. They had a small trio or quartet and a singer, too. Even though it’s about the McCarthy era, it is VERY relevant. I wonder if this will lead to more live shows. After that, I dozed off for a bit, got a partial second wind, watched some Penn and Telle Fool Us magicians – very entertaining and easy to find on the Tube of You. And here we are.
Today, I’ll be up when I’m up, I’ll futz and finesse, and then I will buckle down, Winsocki and do some damn writing, I’ll eat something fun, I’ll write more, and then it’s our annual Tony Awards Bash. I think I can do another free Paramount+ trial. We’ll see if that works. So, post lots, let’s have complete reports and let’s have FUN.
Tomorrow, I’ll do a show order, start writing the commentary, write some pages for the new book, and make a LOT of telephonic calls. The rest of the week is more of the same, some meetings and meals, seeing a play, and doing whatever needs doing.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up when I’m up, futz and finesse, write, eat, write and attend our annual Tony Awards Bash. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s free-for-all day, the day in which you dear readers get to make with the topics and we all get to post about them. So, let’s have loads of lovely topics and loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy to be here by the hair on my chinny chin chin.
