Well, dear readers, we were back rehearsing tonight, this time in a little rehearsal studio in the Ho of No, not too far from our old home at The Federal. We basically just ran all the musical numbers, I added, subtracted, cleaned up, gave some staging to our leading man, and it was fun, and I was quite irreverent, oh, yes, I was quite irreverent. Sometimes one must be quite irreverent and so one was. After rehearsal, I got an In ‘N’ Out burger and fries for pill two. I won’t be able to wait the entire five hours for pill three, so I’ll take that before bed. Burger was very good. Prior to all that, I was up late because the Internet went down right after I posted the notes, and when it came back up about twenty minutes later it was behaving weirdly. Some sites loaded fine and quickly, others, like BofA, Instacart, and our sites wouldn’t load at all. The Firestick wouldn’t load anything either. So, I finally called Spectrum around two-thirty, got a tech on the phone and he re-booted the modem and that fixed it all. So, I didn’t get to sleep until three-thirty. Then I woke up at five-thirty, couldn’t fall asleep again, so was up until seven-thirty and then slept until one-thirty, so all in all, nine hours of sleepy sleep. But the day was mostly gone already. I ordered from Jersey Mike’s, as I knew it would get her quickly – their Eyetalian sandwich – it arrived quickly, and I ate it quickly and took pills quickly. We’ve been getting a lot of digital streaming DGA screeners the last few days, so I’ll be able to see Blue Moon, the Paul Thomas Anderson movie, and Sinners. None of the others interest me at the moment, although I may watch them at some point. I relaxed, then showered and moseyed on over to the rehearsal space, got a good place to park on the street, just half a block from the studio. Then we had our rehearsal, I got the burger, I ate the burger, and here we are.
Today, I’ll be up by eight-thirty and out the door by nine-thirty for a ten o’clock meeting at the theater. Once that’s done (shouldn’t take more than thirty minutes), I’ll come home and relax until it’s time to rehearse. Of course, I’ll eat something and take pills. Then I can relax until it’s time for rehearsal. Once that’s done, I’ll come right home.
Tomorrow is more of the same, then Friday we’re off, Saturday we work in the morning and maybe Sunday, too. On Monday, our leads are coming at six for two hours so we can block the long, long opening scene of act two, and then the play is blocked.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up by eight-thirty and out the door by nine-thirty, have a little meeting at the theater about the set, come home, eat, relax, then we have our rehearsal. After that, I’ll come right home. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Ask BK Day, the day in which you get to ask me or any dear reader any old question you like and we get to give any old answer we like. So, let’s have loads of lovely questions, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy we got the Internet working properly.
