George, last night:QuoteWe all like our desserts simple and tasty.
Ah, the secret of your svelte figure.
der Brucer
And now, to bed.
Good night, Der Brucer...and guests. :)
And the word of the day is: FARRAGO!
My mom made grasshopper pie.
I guess I will have to reread all of yesterday's posts. I somehow missed the story about Skip's new Kritzerland release.
I actually got eight hours of sleep last night. It's the first time that's happened to me in many, many weeks.
I've just spent almost forty-five minutes responding to a few e-mails. I will only say that the creative team of the long musical are expert in pushing each other's buttons, and it mostly falls to me to be the person who has to calm the waters. Each of them has a different personality and seems unable to stop their behavior. It's fascinating.
Here's some info about the CD mentioned in the Variety article:
"The plan is to record before the end of the year. Rebecca Luker, Julia Murney and Barbara Walsh are among those who've already said yes to doing the CD. The music of the songs will all be by Skip, but the lyrics will be variously by Skip, Richard Engquist, Ellen Fitzhugh, Amanda Green, Ellen Schwartz and David Spencer."
bk - As DR DerBrucer mentioned... Is it possible that the newly constructed next to yours was originally planned as an "investment" rather than a "home"?
And the only thing better than Orange Sherbet was Orange Sherbet and Lime Sherbet.

I am very sore today. Clearly, I should have done more walking before I decided to walk/run a 5K

Is this due to your physcal therapy? I hope!

Get.
Out.
Now.
Cilla, as everyone will soon see, DAW actually helped proof the book, so he read it months ago. :)

I think it is great you did the walk/run.

DR Druxy - please forgive my ignorance, but just what the heck IS a "book trailer"?
One can purchase a Used - like new (http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/1449018491/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&qid=1253485397&sr=1-1&condition=used) copy of bk's new book for only $55.10 plus shipping!
Well, we're certainly on our way to the lowest posting day ever. Congratulations to those who've helped us achieve this monumental moment.

The shoot for the book trailer went very well. The studio had been booked for four hours, but we were able to complete what we needed to do in just over an hour.

Mere coinky-dink that this copy is in INDIANA, where a certain DR purchases things for "investment value"? :)
I am not watching the Emmys. I'm still tidying my apartment, and I suspect that will go on for another week. Then my apartment will be faboo! I have 12 cartons to ship to Ohio.
ewwww! I don't want to know that Justin Timberlake is turned on
Lots o' commercials...
Is it just me, or is this show boring?
Yeah, it's pretty boring, DR Druxy.
Not sure if I can keep watching this
I do rather like this film.

And will you be in one of them?
I do rather like this film.
It's all those poofy dresses on the women, isn't it?? ;)
DR MBarnum's always preferred the casual coolness of calico.
Yes. Their favorite part was the Indian dances.
DR Jane, anytime you want some home-style blueberry pancakes, c'mon over to my house.
Well, the REALITY SHOW montage reminded me why I am happy not to watch any of them.
Fingers crossed for DR Jane's DS Craig getting the job in DC!
I'm actually interested in this group. The movie mini series
Can someone please answer my question? Are they on NOW on the West Coast? Some party.

bk, the Emmys are on CBS.
The winner of Reality Show Host has the hugest dimples EVER.
Like, Grand Canyon huge.

I have been getting warning emails every day from Broadway.com that I had better be on time for Hamlet - late arrivals will be seated at the discretion of the management
Right now, I'm off to my sister's to assemble a bar stool for her. I assembled one a couple of days ago, and it was fairly easy to do.
Be back later...certainly before the Emmys start. :)
Is there a DVD of SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS that is anamorphic wide screen?
Bill Cord mentioned to me that he keeps getting residuals for this film, but has no recollection of working on the picture. This afternoon I popped my DVD of it into the machine to see if I could find him and was suprised at what lousy picture quality it was, for one, and that it was not anamorphic!!
I notice on Amazon.com that it has been released at least 3 times on DVD, but none of them mention anamorphic....so I am hoping one of you DRs might know more. If there is one, I want to pick it up as I do rather like this film.

I'll watch a little of the Emmys - is Mad Men up for everything? I must say, other than a few very lame things, I'm enjoying season two more than season one.
Holy moley on rye - I'm so glad I've missed the Emmys all these years. I don't know what's happened to my old pal Kristin but she was very phony baloney up there with the faux tears (well, there were no actual tears, just the quivering voice). One of the days my other old pal Jane will finally win an award.
I know, but I want her to win an Emmy - she deserves it.
DR Jane, anytime you want some home-style blueberry pancakes, c'mon over to my house.
I would love to. If only Craig had found a job in Pittsburgh. Maybe this will be the week he finds one in DC. He has a 2nd interview on Thursday. FINGERS CROSSED!
Vibes to my friend Doug who is in a good amount of pain after lung surgery last Thursday!!! I'm glad he is still in the hospital, at least until Wednesday.
I think I'm now done with the Emmys. Maybe MattH can post which awards Mad Men wins.
Right now, I'm off to my sister's to assemble a bar stool for her.
Glasses on the nominees a sad mistake.
Still haven't bothered to buy a new TV. I can't seem to find the motivation.
I'm caught up with the posts. I enjoyed Neil's opening number. :)
Everyone is fed; time to get a couple hours of sleep.
And exactly where are they? What kind of barn are they taping the show in - and the "set" is awful.
