What I didn't realize, and what is NOT explained in the listing, is that this release is in mono. And it's not even very crisp mono...it's kind of muddy (from what little I've listened to it, so far). :-\ The previous Angel release is in stereo. And very good stereo. I don't have a purchased Angel release, but I did burn a copy from the library's copy. :D Here's the cover for that version:

When the alarm went off, I did not want to get up. debated about staying in bed all day, and then decided about 8:45 to face the world. the laundry is now in the washers, and i need to tidy up the apartment.

Over in Miss Vee's condo, this evening, I (1) scoured the sink till it was white again (Bar Keeper's Friend to the rescue); (2) used the same product on some stubborn countertop stains (successfully!); (3) swept the kitchen floor (and was appalled at how much I swept up); (4) used Mr. Clean all-purpose and swabbed the kitchen floor...THREE times before it was spotless; (5) vacuumed the living room, hallway and bedroom where Miss Vee was hiding; (6) used Mr. Clean all-purpose and swabbed the entryway (all tiled) after noticing for the first time how filthy it all was. I spent 90 minutes cleaning.
I also "touched" Miss Vee. Very briefly. When I entered the bedroom with the vacuum, she dashed out. I discovered, after putting the vacuum away, that she had dashed onto the balcony. Without trying to trap her, I cajoled her to come to me...which she started to do, then she scooted around me. I managed to stroke her back as she retreated back to the bedroom.
Baby steps, I reckon.
Good for the baby step. Bar Keeper's is great stuff!
Next time we take a trip would you like to come vacation in Ashland & watch Sherlock? With my limited use of both shoulders it is difficult to clean up to my standards.

:P It is TOO DARN HOT here in Michigan! Richard and I went to Panera for brunch and walked the Lansing Mall, where we ran into Rob and Mary Linda and, later, ML's sister. We then shopped at GFS and Kroger and now are back at our hotel cooling off.
There are supposed to be thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow. Sunday (the big day) it's supposed to be only in the mid-70s - perfect.

It's a toilet cleaner. The best one I've found. Takes care of the hard water stains. We have very hard water here.

While some of my neighbors were loudly complaining about having been without power for six days I walked over and gave the men who have been working 16 hour days for these past six days the coffee and donuts - and said "I am so happy to see you - thank you for coming " the rude neighbors shut up and walked away

It is good & I keep meaning to buy it.
I haven't had the specific John Stamos brand, but the first time that I had Greek yogurt, I didn't like it. It was just too thick and, well, not yogurt-like (based on what I was used to). However, I've gotten it several times since and I like it now. Costco sells 32 oz. containers of plain non-fat Greek yogurt and I like it a lot. It does taste a bit like sour cream when eaten plain, but I've added sweet things to it and it's good either way. :)

And speaking of Greek yogurt, I think I'll go to Costco and get some, since it's time for me to leave work, anyway.

Back from a wonderfully wonderful shoot - it was smooth as silk and we finished an hour early and that included the move to the second location. I liked my camera and sound person very much and hope they'll return for other shoots. Jason Graae was his usual hilarious self in the musical number and our ensemble did great. We shot much more coverage here than in NY and we had a jib (a portable camera crane) so we have some fun shots. Melody was also really funny in her bit (which will be cut in with the NY footage of the episode her bit is in). Inspiration struck at Jason's house just before we did his set-up scene. He has a really cute dog named Roy. Roy was sitting on an outdoor sofa on Jason's patio, and every time a new person would talk he'd cock his head to the side - really funny. So I got the camera gal to shoot him and we got some great cutaways with him cocking his head to each side and trying to bury his head in the couch.

Wonderful Moroccan dinner tonight. Not as good as what we had in Morocco, but for San Antonio, it will do nicely. Lamb shanks stewed in a prune-almond sauce with plenty of marrow in the bones. Couscous cooked in butter for hours and served with chicken. Spicy olives with giardinara. Lentils. Almond cake with rosewater and honey.

This evening, patience paid off.
I went to my gym at 4 p.m. After I got back home, I paid a visit. Guess who was waiting for me at the door?
Miss Vee.
And she didn't run away.
She also didn't let me pet her, but she sniffed my hand and allowed me to touch the tip of her nose. I attempted to draw her into play, but she contented herself watching me play alone.
I have to say it's more pleasant going to that condo now that the kitchen is clean. I think maybe Miss Vee appreciates the clean floor.

Where is Jose doing THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE?
I will doing The Boys from Syracuse at The Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC. They will be doing an Encores!/Reprise-like concert staging of it with a full cast and orchestra. It will only be running one weekend - after rehearsing for just two weeks. My primary function will be as a music librarian of sorts, but I'll also be playing some rehearsals. I would be playing the brief run of the show, but since I'll be flying to L.A. in the middle of said short run, well...
*Danny Burstein was originally cast as one of the twins (I think) in the production, but then Follies made the move from the Kennedy Center to the Marquis, so... I haven't heard any further casting rumors or news.

Well... My day off turned out to be unexpectedly and wonderfully "busy". I shall check back in after the show. But first...
As I was saying...
My sister-in-law, Elizabeth, called me this morning around 8:30 - thankfully, I was already awake-ish and listening to NPR - and asked if I could help her out today. My niece, Alexandra, had her middle school orientation today, and since it was just going to be a half day, Elizabeth needed someone to pick her up since she also needed to pick-up Alex's younger sister, Elena, at her pre-school at the same time. So, I kicked into Uncle Jojo mode for a couple of hours.
After picking her and her BFF up at school, I took them to Pinkberry - with their mother's permission - and then Alex had an appointment to get her hair cut. I stayed with them for a bit at the salon until Elizabeth was able to get there.

And then my dear friend, Brendan, happened to have an overnight at Dulles today - he's the airline pilot. After I left Alex, I headed over to Brendan's hotel, and we drove to Leesburg for some lunch and outlet shopping.
We checked out this Cajun place called... wait for it... Cajun Experience. It was quite good and quite a bargain. Fried okra, boudin balls, hush puppies, chicken & sausage gumbo, blackened catfish po' boy and beignets!
After that deep-fried calorie fest, we headed over to Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets. I was hoping to find a pair of shoes at Merrell - I need some new mocs - but they didn't have anything that worked for me. But it was nice to window shop and dream at Le Creuset, Williams-Sonoma and Restoration Hardware. ;)
-And then I dropped Brendan back off at his hotel, and headed in for tonight's show.

Darn...I went to Costco and they didn't have the Greek yogurt. I bought some cat food instead, since I need to feed my cat and I didn't have much left. :)

I'm on the phone on hold with Comcast...my cable modem has been wonky for the last several weeks. It would just lose connectivity without notice and then the service would come and go. AARRGGHH!!

Hopefully, I'll talk with someone soon. I got this new(ish) modem only last year. Fortunately (I guess), my TV hasn't had any trouble at all.

That didn't take too long. I have an appointment between noon and 2:00 pm on Monday.
