Well, you've read the notes, the notes were supercalifragilisticexpialadocious, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently having a spoonful of sugar after which they will feed the birds.
-
And the word of the day is: FORTUOSITY!
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
Glad to hear TCB will be on the road to recovery soon.
-
Good morning all. Sorry I was so short last night but that first day back at work was a monster and I was tired.
Dear TCB I don't want to hear one negative word about your surgery! No talk of dying because THAT is NOT going to happen. You are going to sail though it and be so much better afterwards. I won't entertain any other thoughts on that subject! You have to go into the surgery with a positive outlook.
I remember when I went in for my breast surgery I was trying to joke and said "I'll see you on the other side" to Themla. My meaning was the other side of the surgery but the nurse took it to mean something else and asked me if I thought something bad was going to happen. She really gave me the what for about it because she said your mind set can have an impact on how well you will recover.
So positive vibes and thoughts your way!!!! :)
I'm so sorry you have to work so many hours DR Vixmom. I know that must be a bummer.
I'm calling Angie at Angies list (not the same Angie that was on tv but someone who works for her) today to get more details about what is going to happen. I will tell you all about it when I get home if I don't get another phone call. It's been busy since I got back. :)
-
Have a great day all!
-
Good morning, all! Another night of curious dreams and one involving a bus: Kelli O'Hara and I were riding a bus down Verity Parkway in Middletown, Ohio, and she was carrying a ream of 11x17 copy paper. Then, I had a dream that I was trying to rent a car and the dream was complete frustration. Oy!
This morning, I have a date with my barber and a trip to my accountant. Then, it's more DEAREST ENEMY and ROBERTA work.
DR TCB, great news about the surgery.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vibes for our DR TCB! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think the first Sherman Brothers song I remember hearing is "Tall Paul." I still don't like it. I do love "Let's Get Together" and the score for MARY POPPINS. I'm currently listening to the OBC of OVER HERE with Michael Gibson's great big band charts.
-
Good morning, all. I feel a little better after a night's sleep. I think I was gifted with whatever is going around work in my small, stuffy cramped room, which got more cramped yesterday with the addition of two new people. I have been promised a cubicle and I hope it happens. Soon.
-
Mega-surgery vibes and mental vibes for TCB. Glad the surgery has been scheduled at last.
-
Great news, Danise, on the followup story.
-
TOD:
Sherman Bros. favorites would be a great big long list, but a few highlights include:
"Over Here" score
"Mary Poppins" movie score (all the stuff they wrote and not the lame additions for the stage)
"Slipper and the Rose" score
"Hushabye Mountain"
"Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"
"Fortuoisty"
"Busker Alley"
'He Had a Way"
And too many more to remember this early.
-
WTF? Another wait for "too many connections." Who the hell are they?
-
Vibes for TCB!!!
-
;D
-
MEGA VIBES EVERYONE.
:) :) :)
-
Must go to work.
;)
-
DR TCB I am so glad that youy surgery has been scheduled. Btw. what kind of kindle do you have again. Is it the keyboard one with wifi or 3G? Because remember you can get onto HHW from your kindle. But if you have the wifi one (which is what i have) then they would have to have wifi at the nursing home.
-
DR Danise glad you got those follow-up calls. DR Laura on the show Angie said that they would work with some local contractors to fix up DR Danise's house. She did not go into details but i think it was implied that they would try to fix up what the other guy did not finish.
-
Today is the 100th anniversary of the Oreo cookie. Sounds like a reason to celebrate to me. Deep-fried Oreo cookies with Oreo cookie ice cream and chocolate-dipped Oreos on the side. (Diabetic? Who, me?)
Great news from DR TCB - at last, you're on the schedule!
Continued good news from DR DANISE!!!
I did not get to watch SMASH last night, so I do not know what the SHOCKING surprise was.....perhaps I will watch it ON DEMAND....if Nick Jonas isn't on it again.
-
TOD
It would have to be Mary Poppins. It was also the first movie I ever saw.
I think my favorite from the score is "Feed The Birds"
The next set of songs I was aware of had to be Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
and my favorite song from that score would be "Chu Chi Face" (sp)
-
So sad about Mr Robert Sherman - I purchased THE BOYS on DVD after reading about it here.....very interesting and entertaining. But now it is even sadder to think about.
Like DR ELMORE - my first Sherman Bros. song was TALL PAUL.....unlike DR ELMORE, I do like it. I like all the songs they did for Annette......
Songs:
Let's Go Fly a Kite
Feed the Birds
Doll on a Box
Up From the Ashes
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Toot-Sweet
Hushabye Mountain
So much of their work.....and YES the songs from THE PARENT TRAP.
-
I was watching THE UNTOUCHABLES last night, and who should show up as "The 90-Proof Dame" but Miss Joanna Barnes.....who was also in THE PARENT TRAP.
I always liked Joanna. She is so beautiful.....and she can really be funny.....as in AUNTIE MAME as Gloria.....and in GOODBYE, CHARLIE....as one of Charlie's dames......
She was also on the syndicated version of TO TELL THE TRUTH in the late 60's and was always a very good game player.
-
Today is March 6 - the birthday of the lovely Miss Allison Hayes.....
:'(
March 6, 1930 - February 27, 1977
On location in ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN - January, 1958
-
DougR: Johnny Gregory does a faboo version of HUSHABYE MOUNTAIN on Soundstage Spectacular.
-
WTF? Another wait for "too many connections." Who the hell are they?
Don't know for sure, but I suspect there may be a lot of curiousity among BK's legions who are curious to read what he wrote about Robert Sherman.
-
Waiting for the piano tuner.....I'm beginning to believe it's sort of like waiting for godot
-
While waiting I pre-ordered the Original Cast Recording for ONCE. It will be released on March 13 and is only $9.99 on Amazon
-
It's supposed to be 68 degrees here today. My day is pretty different. I'm waiting for the piano tuner, who is only a little late at this point. At noon we have our annual Historic Preservation Commission/City Council lunch and meeting. Our commission doesn't ask the council for money and we don't make any embarrasing headlines, so it's essentially a free lunch, followed by our HPC meeting. I do have to get some motions written and filed for the trial that's starting on the 20th. If it's not too crazy at the office, I may come home and work on them here with the windows open
-
I always liked Joanna. She is so beautiful.....and she can really be funny.....as in AUNTIE MAME as Gloria......
I remember Sally Cato's brother exclaiming after the fox hunt: "Hot damn! My sister's gonna bust a gut!" after Mame was being hailed as a superb horse woman becasue she, somehow, "rescued" the Fox after a wild chase on her horse (a killer loaned to her by none other than Miss Sally Cato, herself).
:D
-
Actually I should be working on them while I'm waiting for the piano tuner. But I'm thinking brewing coffee may be a better idea
-
The Piano Tuner - almost sounds like a song.
-
I had the strangest dream last night. I was driving my brother's van and taking myself to the airport in Chicago to return home from some all expense paid meeting. As I was unloading my bags, I thought "How on earth am I going to get the van home if I take the flight" So, since the ticket didn't cost me anything, I decided to drive home. As I was about to pull out of the garage type thing I was in, I saw a guy from my home town and he said he needed a ride home. So he started driving, because he claimed he knew Chicago. Then he asked if I had an ID he could use because he lost his license to drive and his license as a lawyer (he's not a lawyer in real life). The next think I knew we were in Indiana, totally driving the wrong way. It was 2:30 in the afternoon and I needed to make a more than 12 hour drive and be in court the next morning. The whole thing was so ridiculous I woke up
-
TOD: I love much of the Sherman Brothers' work, but I have a special place in my heart for the score to "The Slipper and the Rose". I have three favorites from that score:
Suddenly It Happens
Secret Kingdom
He Danced With Me/She Danced With Me
From "Mary Poppins", it's:
Chim-Chim Cheree
I Love to Laugh
Jolly Holiday
-
You can listen to the entire cast recording here via NPR
I listened to part of it, that's why I ordered it
-
The piano tuner is here. So far the cats aren't running and hiding, wonder if that will change once she really gets going
-
The cats aren't even trying to hide from the piano tuner. I guess next to the piccolo, this isn't even annoying
-
TOD:
I don't recall the first Sherman Brothers song I heard, but the one that seems to stay with me is "Feed the Birds" from MARY POPPINS.
:o
-
Yesterday's TOD re: Bob Merrill:
"Take Me Along"
-
It snowed again last night and a light dusting is falling--through sunshine, of course. It's Portland, after all.
TOD - everything, absolutely everything.
DR CILLA LIZ - the Dream O Matic 6000 says this dream anticipates some unsettled travel plans in your near future, do not leave those plans to someone else, but do them as you want them done. You are also concerned that others may use your work as their own - though you are secure in what you know to be so, law wise. Anxiety about being on time for court also suggests that you finish your work on time, and wish others would be as punctual.
We are having very strange weather this week. Sunday night, this dippy broad on one of our local stations predicted that the temp was going to drop about twenty degrees Sunday night and we would have snow by the morning commute. Instead, yesterday was a beautiful sunny day with temperatures in the high forties.
Last night the weather guy said there was a chance for a little rain overnight (last night) and then we were in for a warming trend, with the temp climbing to 60 by Friday. This morning I got up and it has snowed overnight.
Yahoo search engine has the photos of the Sherman Brothers reversed. Richard's photo appears for Robert's obituary.
Got my invite today to Racheal Ray's South By Southwest party. It's a strange but fun one: All the alcohol and food are free, but you have to pay for water. Jimmy Cliff is going to perform.
I think i'm going to give myself some HHW vibes.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I feel like crap. My nose is running non-stop. I feel sick. And that isn't even my problem. :)
My waterbed has a leak. What's worse it is on the floor. I don't really understand how this is possible. Because the bed actually holds the water if it leaks. It's weird because there is only a very small amount of water in the actual bed. Around all the sides. But very little. But the floor on one side is all wet. Not a lot of water. But just enough to make the carpet all wet. I have towels everywhere outside and inside the bed.
I'm just not sure what to do since i don't feel well. I don't think i'll be able to find where the lead is coming from. Also my bed size (double) is extremely hard to find (or it was last time this happened quite a number of years ago. I think i have to take all the water out. Which i don't feel like doing. :(
Guess i will have to sleep on the couch. Oy. I wish i knew what could have made the leak.
-
Jennifer, you can have some vibes from me, too. Dry nose and dry bed vibes.
* * * * * FEEL BETTER AND DRY BED VIBES FOR DR JENNIFER * * * * *
-
I had originally wrote "LEAKY BED VIBES" for DR Jennifer, but I didn't think that what was desired.
But I do think that Leaky Bed Vibes would be a great song title. It can be sung to the tune of Sleepy Time Gal.
-
TOD:
I'm sure that the first Sherman Bros song I heard came from MARY POPPINS. More than likely it would have been Chim Chim Cheree.
And I'm a hugh fan of their OVER HERE score.
-
I'm up. Galley arrived and looks fine - they did the copyright page correctly - a first. So, I've sent it on to Grant just to check it out. The cover is still a problem, but Grant's out right now so questions can't be answered until he's back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bettr health vbes for DR Jennifer! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Errands are finished, I lam happy with the barber's work, my accountant proved once again that he may be a good accountant but he's too often an ass, and I have work to attend to: corrections to a copyist, a meeting to set up. edits. Oy!

I need to clean the house, or as much as I my shoulders will tolerate. The view through the windows will be pretty as I work. We had a light snow fall last night which isn't melting as it is cold out.

Today is the 100th anniversary of the Oreo cookie. Sounds like a reason to celebrate to me. Deep-fried Oreo cookies with Oreo cookie ice cream and chocolate-dipped Oreos on the side. (Diabetic? Who, me?)
I got an e-mail coupon from Red Robin this morning for a free Rookie Magic® Shake "with purchase of a burger, entrée salad, sandwich. wrap or kid's meal" (dine-in only)!
They also have a new burger that's on sale...I think that I'll be going there for dinner tonight! :D

Does anyone else at this board watch THE VOICE?
I started watching it right after the Super Bowl. I really enjoyed the Blind Auditions part of the show. Last ngiht they started the head to head eliminations and I am not sure I will continue to watch it.

If the nursing home did have wifi i think you'd be surprised how easy it is on HHW. I did not think it would be easy. But as long as you know how to get to the internet. You can bookmark the page. And then it takes 2 seconds to get on. If it would be too hard for you to post at least you would easily be able to read.

Hmmm...I just finished listening to the ONCE cast recording on NPR and I have to admit that I am unmoved. I guess that one needs to actually see the show to fully appreciate it. Right now, to me, it's just a collection of songs. I can't garner anything of what happens on stage from what I've listened to.

So positive vibes and thoughts your way!!!! :)
Thank you, Danise. Trust me, I am very confident that the surgery will be a success. I don't think God is quite through with me yet.

Back from the dentist. Looks like we are done with all the "correctional" work. Now to keep them maintained so there will won't be anymore in the future. I like my dentist (new to me), so it will be easy to maintain.

It's funny you mention that. The notes that accompanied it talked about that same thing. I have only listened to the one song from the movie that I loved, "Falling Softly," and I still love it. I wonder if the average person will relate to it more because it's not overly dramatic.
-
DR TCB I am so glad that youy surgery has been scheduled. Btw. what kind of kindle do you have again. Is it the keyboard one with wifi or 3G? Because remember you can get onto HHW from your kindle. But if you have the wifi one (which is what i have) then they would have to have wifi at the nursing home.
Thank you, Jennifer. I think the lack of wifi at the nursing home would probably be the problem. I do have the Kindle with the keyboard, but that would almost as tough as texting on my phone.
If it would be too hard for you to post at least you would easily be able to read.
I agree with Jennifer. Sometimes at night when I can't sleep, even if I can comment, I read the posts. I've done the same with Facebook too. It's worth a try since I expect you will have you Kindle with you.

The book I was waiting to be released today stayed at the lower price. I of course purchased it.

Tuesday afternoon greetings! I slept late this morning and then had to hustle to leave for the grantwriters' lunch early enough to make 2 stops on the way. Made 3 more stops on the way home and now I'm here for a bit before heading in the opposite direction for a knitting class.

Ginny, I think you are busier now than when you were working.

I jsut got an e-mail with the subject line: Add Wings for Just $5. I was glad to see that the message was from Pizza Hut. I was afraid it was either from my church or from a hitman.
I couldn't find a hitman who'd take care of you for $5! And I looked.
Strange, when I enquired about you, they offered change.

The other night I turned on PBS in hopes of watching a little bit of POTO. Instead they were showing two separate productions by a group called Celtic Thunder. They were great, Cute and great.
-
Congrats to DR MATTHEW on his molar report.
-
Then I checked my PBS schedule and found that POTO was showing last night. Naturally, I forgot about it by last night and I watched The Voice instead.
-
Lots of stories on the news about Insurance adjusters and FEMA in the southern Indiana area hit by the tornadoes last week.

I know what you mean - now that we are in our late 30's, we can expect these things to happen more and more.
-
We are working on updating the theatre website.....and I am liking the result, but it may be more difficult to maintain.....I have been doing things the same way for about 8 years.....so expect lots of cursing and desktop banging over the next few months.

And now I am off to get ready for Zumba this evening.

DougR: Johnny Gregory does a faboo version of HUSHABYE MOUNTAIN on Soundstage Spectacular.
Thanks JMK. I'd sooner have it on CD though. My record player is covered in cobwebs!

Back home after drinks and a meal. I had roast beef, mashed and roast potatoes, carrots and green beans. They apologised for having run out of Yorkshire pudding!

T.O.D.
I suppose the first Sherman songs I heard were Tall Paul and the songs from THE PARENT TRAP, but I had no idea who wrote them at the time. The first time I actually connected them with their music was the first time I heard MARY POPPINS. By that time I had started to buy OBC and Soundtracks of shows and films.
I love the score of the film MARY POPPINS (but also including Practically Perfect)

Not really, DR TCB, but things got bunched up today. Of course, when I was working the alarm went off at 5:30am and today I slept 'til 9!

Off to Hamilton - bye for now!
-
The other morning I decided to go back to bed after I fed Nicky. The next thing I knew it was 10:00. When I looked at the clock, I panicked and my heart started racing, like I was late to work, or something. It took me several minutes to realize that I could sleep all day if I wanted.

Galley and covers approved and book will go off to the printers in a day or two, then I'll place my order. We may have it available for pre-order at Kritzerland as soon as this evening. Signed copies, of course, and a bit cheaper than amazon and other online dealers. Not sure how long it takes for the eBook to go live. Only hardcover on the site, but softcover will be available at amazon, etc. Also, the first twenty-five orders will get a little something special with their copies - working on that now. Books should ship by the second week of April.
-
Had some lunch, picked up some packages. Will do some liner notes in a while.

Too bad they ran out of Yorkshire pudding. Two veggies & two potatoes, yum.

Newt Gingrich was caught on camera napping before he spoke today. Obviously this was his last ditch effort to attract the Ronald Reagan vote.

What a surprise! Americans are rated as the World's Worst Tourists.
-
Really. I thought the Japanese had replaced us. I guess we moved back up to number one.

Americans even voted themselves the worst.

Hmmmm.

There was a time I would definitely said the Japanese were by far, from my personal experience. It has been a long while since I would say any group, including Americans.
-
I found the Italian tourists in Italy to be extremely rude.
-
DR Jane, why would you think Japanese to be bad tourists? They are always so nice and polite.

Just learned that one of my favorite actresses passed away on Sunday.
Joan Taylor, star of EARTH VS THE FLYING SAUCERS, 20 MILLION MILES TO EARTH and TVs The Rifleman...plus lots of westerns...she was among my first "favorite actresses" when I was a little kid.

I read this...and re-read this...and re-read this...and then finally got that I was reading "Red Robin" instead of "Red John"....

With potatoes, what is the point of Yorkshire pudding? Three starches???
Still, it's terribly careless and shortsighted to run out of Yorkshire Pudding. Who doesn't love it?
-
DR Jane, why would you think Japanese to be bad tourists? They are always so nice and polite.
Because they ran me over too many times, and one aggressive "gentleman" pushed (tossed me a a foot away) me out of the way while I was waiting to be helped. At the time I was the only person at the counter & he then stood in front of my purse & hat that had been in front of me on the counter. If I knew how to swear in Japanese I would have.

I assure you he was, and he was obviously a big shot executive with ass kissing underlings along & a submissive wife. I didn't need to speak their language to know what was going on.
We were in the Swiss Alps in an area where the people weren't overly friendly to Americans. I'm standing outside at a hat, gloves, etc kiosk waiting patiently for the woman who worked it to get off her but & help me. When the big shot walked up, took both his hands & tossed me aside the woman jumped off her stool. I truly expected her to ask if I was ok. Instead she began helping the big shot. He tried on a hat & was obviously very pleased with how he looked in it. He then wanted the other people with him to agree. It really was funny watching the action. The woman sold one hat while I was there. Had she ever assisted me she might have sold two hats along with a scarf or gloves. Of course there was no way I was going to buy anything at that point.

That wasn't the only anti-American experience we had in those alps, only the worst & involving a Japanese tourist. ;)
It is the area we saw many Bernese Mountain Dogs & fell in love with them.

They were an older couple & this was at least 18 years ago. We lived in Michigan at the time & knew many Japanese people in the car industry & they were all extremely nice. The tourists when we traveled were another story. If we were touring a castle or some place where people tend to bunch up & suddenly we were getting pushed, sure enough when we turned around it was a group of Japanese tourist.
On this last trip we took there were tourist from many counties, including Japan, and everyone was polite. I didn't meet any rude pushy people. :) Come to think of it, it was the same on our last trip.

No, she said she checked it, but then she hid it inside her Bible. I believe she used the time to establish a corperation or a trust.

When I visited the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor, there was a large group of Japanese tourists, probably in their 20s, on the same boat going out to the memorial. When we out there, they all started laughing and taking pictures of each other and having a great time. I wasn't the only person that was offended by their actions, but they didn't appear to speak any English, so it seemed pointless to say anything to them. So, when we got back from the memorial, I walked past them and said very loudly, "Remember Hiroshima."
I have no idea if they understood me, but it made me feel better.

Evening all. Feel better vibes to DR Jennifer.
I managed to watch some of the POTO from PBS. Sorry folks but it seems to me that when they filmed it, they did the karaoke version. I don't know what happens but it seems like when they film these events all of the passion is gone from the show. The same for the last Le Miz. I guess what I'm looking for is a certain "punch" to some lines and if I don't hear that it sounds flat to me. More like they are singing by rote than anything else.
Heard from Angies List today. They will be sending out the help requests on Monday to local contractors. She said that it might take some time for them to get everything done but they will keep on trying. That's all I can ask for. :)

Bruce,
Do you plan to do any readings of the new book in the Los Angeles area? I'd rather buyk it up at a reading and ask you to inscribe it on the spot.

Hello, everyone.
Very sorry to hear about Robert Sherman. But what a full life he had!! Condolences to his family and friends.

I had the strangest dream last night. I was driving my brother's van and taking myself to the airport in Chicago to return home from some all expense paid meeting. As I was unloading my bags, I thought "How on earth am I going to get the van home if I take the flight" So, since the ticket didn't cost me anything, I decided to drive home. As I was about to pull out of the garage type thing I was in, I saw a guy from my home town and he said he needed a ride home. So he started driving, because he claimed he knew Chicago. Then he asked if I had an ID he could use because he lost his license to drive and his license as a lawyer (he's not a lawyer in real life). The next think I knew we were in Indiana, totally driving the wrong way. It was 2:30 in the afternoon and I needed to make a more than 12 hour drive and be in court the next morning. The whole thing was so ridiculous I woke up
DR CILLA LIZ - the Dream O Matic 6000 says this dream anticipates some unsettled travel plans in your near future, do not leave those plans to someone else, but do them as you want them done. You are also concerned that others may use your work as their own - though you are secure in what you know to be so, law wise. Anxiety about being on time for court also suggests that you finish your work on time, and wish others would be as punctual.
Thank you :)

DR Matthew isn't the only one who went to the dentist today. And I, too, am very pleased with my new dentist. Not only do I like him, I like all the staff. It makes such a difference! My previous dentist had an assistant who seemed to think she was a drill sergeant. Like me, the new dentist had mercury toxicity and is now very knowledgeable about it. Everything in the practice is considered from the standpoint of biocompatibility. Perhaps not important to some, but necessary for the likes of me.
-
I love the score to MARY POPPINS, but I think FEED THE BIRDS is my favorite.
-
Good morning all.
Thank you, Danise. Trust me, I am very confident that the surgery will be a success. I don't think God is quite through with me yet.
And neither are we!!

All sorts of dryness vibes to DR Jennifer!!

As to the first Sherman Bros song I heard, I think it was probably LET'S GET TOGETHER. BK was madly in love with Haley Mills at that time and I seem to recall BK singing the song.

Bed and nose vibes to DR Jennifer!

Thank you, Danise. Trust me, I am very confident that the surgery will be a success. I don't think God is quite through with me yet.
And neither are we!!
Oh oh! ::)

I notice that DR TCB is also in good form today.
Well, I am trying (very)!

I can understand how they might view Pearl Harbor differently than we do. My guess was that their age had more to do with the laughter than anything.
Yes, I suppose that is part of it. But before you even go to the memorial you have to watch that film that talks about how many people died, especially on the Arizona. I would think that they would notice how solemn everyone else was at the memorial. It is a matter of respect for the place and the people who died.

The plot of Once, the movie and Once the Broadway musical are basically the same. There are some tweaks to make it more theatrical and a couple of minor plot points are changed, NO SPOILER, for example, the girlfriend has gone to New York, not London. I haven't ruined anything by mentioning this, it's not worth a spoiler alert. There are also two new songs in the show that are not in the movie and I think one or two songs from the movie have been dropped altogether.
The songs really do need the movie or the show for their full emotional intensity IMHO. Having seen both I can say the songs work better than if I didn't know either.

I'm glad you found the perfect dentist & staff!!

Then I can't say it was just shallow young people having fun in spite of the situation.

That's why I'm buying the physical CD...although, the downloadable (when purchased) MP3s from Amazon include a digital booklet! I hope that that has more information about the plot and the show itself.
I haven't seen the movie yet, so I don't know what's it all about...Alfie.
;)
I really liked the movie. You should rent it
Thanks. I'll check Netflix when I get home. :)

:'(
Mike, did you know that she was a twin...and that she and her sister probably died within hours of each other (http://xfinity.comcast.net/articles/news-national/20120306/US.Twins.Deaths/)??

Very strange and sad.

Well, I had every intention of going to an Irish whisky tasting tonight, but instead I came home and made key lime pie. Go figure.

From what I understand the movie is different, but maybe if you rent it the songs will make more sense
I think I might have actually bought the DVD when it came out but I never got around to watching it. I'll have to dig it out for viewing.

SPOO!! Mike's favorite actress was Joan Taylor, but I just realized that the article was for Joan Miller. Not the same person.
Sorry about the misunderstanding, everyone. :-[

So does that mean they really died or only probably died :)

And on that note (B-natural), I'm off to Red Robin for a free Rookie Magic® Shake (with my coupon).
Until later!

George, I'm really confused. Why do you think this is Joan Taylor? Joan's obit says she was married and died in Santa Monica.
-
Joan Taylor, a regular on 1960s TV series The Rifleman who oversaw Hawaii Five-O following the death of her husband, series creator Leonard Freeman, died Sunday of natural causes in Santa Monica. She was 82.
Taylor played general store owner Milly Scott opposite Chuck Connors and Johnny Crawford on ABC's The Rifleman for two years before leaving acting to raise a family.
Earlier, she had appeared in dozens of other TV shows, including Wagon Train, Mike Hammer, Peter Gunn, My Three Sons and 77 Sunset Strip, and in such films as The Savage (1952), War Paint (1953), Earth vs. the Flying Saucers (1956) and 20 Million Miles to Earth (1957).
Born Rose Marie Emma in Geneva, Ill., Taylor met writer-producer Freeman in the early 1950s when both were working on a production of Here Comes Mr. Jordan at the Pasadena Playhouse, and they were married in 1953.
After Freeman’s death in January 1974 following heart surgery, Taylor managed Leonard Freeman Productions and the business of Hawaii Five-O, which ran from 1968-80 on CBS and in syndication for years afterward. CBS brought back a remake in 2010.
Taylor also co-wrote the 1997 comedy film Fools Rush In starring Matthew Perry and Salma Hayek and penned an episode of the ABC drama Family in 1979.
She also was married to TV producer-director Walter E. Grauman.
