Good morning to all.
I woke up singing songs from Fiorello!
Can't say why, exactly. I guess I'm just strange that way.

I just LOVE the photos and behind-the-scenes scuttlebutt on the recording sessions!
And the word of the day is: VEXILLOLOGY!

I read that Virginia Resnick has passed away. Any memories working with her on the Anastasia cast recording?

Congrats, JRand, on a great opening -- and continued success with no more whacks.
Well....the patented HHW VIBES were working overtime for us last night.... The audience couldn't have been better.... They LOVED us....the laughs were frequent and hearty....the applause the same...several numbers got applause DURING them.....
And we get to do it again tonight!!!
Trilogy of Terror!!!!
RIP Miss Karen Black.....
She was a nice lady.
I have returned from seeing my doctor and I have another prescription for more Tylenol with codeine and muscle relaxant to cover my Dublin jaunt.
DR JRand62, I am so happy for your success last night. Here are vibes for the show's run!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Success Vibes for the "Drowsy Chaperone" cast! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, the doorbell rang and I just received a wonderful surprise again!
84 Charing Cross Road.
Another gift from my fantastic brother Kevin. He is one of the most considerate, caring, and generous persons I know.
I'm so glad to have him as a brother!
I am looking thru the book now. It is so endearing to read how their relationship developes as the letters go on!
Two Sumatran tiger cubs were born Sunday at the San Antonio Zoo. Here's a picture of one of them, and I want to play with him or her:

I've been to Fed Ex and they wanted $188 to ship my scores to Dublin economically. So, I called the air lines and told them I needed to check a second bag; that cost me $124 but I saved $64 so I'm not complaining too much. All I have to do is survive getting onto the flight.
Happy Friday, all!
Such great photos, BK, all of them! That Michael Lamont knows his way around a camera, methinks.
I'm headed back to La Jolla today for more tomfoolery, after an oddly scheduled day off. Already they want me to perform songs from the show for their subscribers, both tomorrow morning and Sunday afternoon. Did I mention we have not staged a thing yet? What parallel universe did I fall into? Yikes! ::)
A "friend" felt compelled to post this on Facebook:
Well got a good review of the show while on the golf course so can't wait to see it tomorrow night. Said all the voices fit the songs and (don't take this wrong Jack) he said he is not always an Earles fan but he did a great job. lol
Didn't know I was famous enough to have NON-fans......
Hmm. I didn't think anyone ever really opened Spam. I thought it was just something your father-in-law gives you to carry all the way back home in your camper, unless you try to feed it to the dog, who declines it.
DR Doug, Life is trying to tell you something. I don't think Spam is worth bloody fingers.
Nice photos Bruce.
whoops. Thanks for the correction. I guess then No memories of Working with Virginia :-)BK

Her name is Regina Resnick.
Slow news day at HHW. And I am off to Performance #2 of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE.

VIBES YOUR SHOW IS JUST AS WELL RECEIVED TONIGHT AS IT WAS LAST NIGHT!
Browsing the supermarket I came across a display of Spam. I thought I'd not had that in decades so I bought a tin. When I tried to open it, the ring-pull thingy snapped off as soon as I pulled it back. I then tried two different can openers. I tried both ends of the tin but neither opener worked. There was a tiny hole where the ring-pull was so I tried sticking the prong of a fork inside and trying to lever up the metal casing. I finally gave up before I ended up with cuts and blood all over my hands and hurled the wretched tin into the wastebin. Not to be outdone I went out again and bought another tin - but haven't had the nerve to attempt to try and open it yet. Are they actually meant to be opened?
IT IS RAINING!!!! :)
I was whacked hard in the face during the first number because I was trying to get downstage for a "speech" I have.....my fault....I was out of place....but
Hello, everyone. That's The World of Rolex by Shamis Khassenov. You can hear the piece in it's entirety here (https://soundcloud.com/khassenov/shamis-khassenov-the-world-of).
A quiz for all you music lovers: BBC.com runs an ad for Rolex. If you click on the ad you'll hear a piece of music that I'm trying to identify. Can anyone tell me what it is or who the composer is?

DR Cillaliz - the answer to the question you asked me last night is, yes, I bought a Keurig about a month ago. We're having a lot of fun with it.
I thought today's laundry was going to kill me.

I would have to be extremely hungry to eat Spam.

I like the low fat low sodium spam.

I didn't know there was a combo with all three ingredients. I wonder if your script bottle will be checked carefully going through security.
DR TCB do you ever have problems traveling with your pain meds?

Has anyone ridden an ATV? I'm thinking of doing this and am wondering if I'm crazy.
Maybe they should develop vegetarian Spam. After all, there's canned vegetarian haggis, perhaps the only meat less inviting than Spam.

Probably...but the next time (and I'm sure that there will be a next time) that the ring-pull thingy (scientific name) snaps off, you could try needle nose pliers to pull open the lid. I've actually done that before (not on a Spam can, though) and it works quite well. :)

It's just shoulder of pork and ham - that's not bad meat...or that fat actually

You're right. Spam isn't the worst of meats. But I don't go out of my way to eat it. Even in Hawaii.

An acetylene torch works just as well

Well, I thought there were only two parts to "Storm of the Century." There are three, but I'll have to finish it tomorrow.
Good night, all.
I just hope BK is enjoying Shrek more than he enjoyed "At Long Last Love."

I enjoyed STORM ON THE CENTURY, but like many of King's stories, I thought the ending was weak.
