And the word of the day is: TRUMPERY!
I seem to be in a funk this morning, hoping it will go away soon.
DR JANE - Anthem did ask me for my SS number, but I understood that since I don't have a member or policy number. And they did find one for me, but it was my group policy from the State of Indiana when I was working there.....almost 10 years ago.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DR KevinH!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday to our DR KevinH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I met a gentleman (from Wales) yesterday, who lives in Austin. He wanted my input on a film he's putting together.
His name is Michael J. Lewis, and he has quite an impressive background as a composer of films (e.g. THE MADWOMAN OF CHAILLOT, THEATRE OF BLOOD, etc.) and stage (CYRANO). A nice, interesting man.
Happy Birthday to DR KevinH. Hope you have a great day!
Happy Birthday to Kevin H.

See that little green light? And I don't mean Gatsby's...
Its first start-up was smooth, shut-off was smooth. Then we cut power to simulate an outage, and the whole house came back up on generator power in fourteen seconds. (There's a ten-second delay in case the outage is just a blip, then four seconds for the engine to get up to speed and then power the house.)
Amazing. Just amazing. The guy was showing me this thing and that thing, explaining stuff, and I couldn't wipe the damned grin off my face.
See? ----> :D
Happy Happy Birthday, DR Kevin!
Happiest of birthdays to DR KevinH!

I asked after reading security checks were not done on employees manning all of this.
GOOD VIBES ALL IS PROCESSED AS IT SHOULD BE!!!
Feel better vibes for DR vixmom!

DR Jane, I would be interested in knowing where you read this.
I read a story on this same topic today which was on a medical website (article was dated Oct. 18th). According to the article there is an Attorney General from South Carolina who wants everything to be postponed because there was no requirement in the ACA for security checks for the "navigators" that are hired to help people navigate the signing up for new health care. However, the companies that hire the navigiators have been doing security checks on the new hires, as they have been doing for years (the navigators have been around for some time to help people sign up for Medicaid and Medicare).
So, if there is an article that says otherwise, I would like to see it so that I can be informed correctly.

Good morning, all! Last night I dreamed I was writing madrigal-like pieces for vocal ensembles and harp. I recall they were all in F-major and I believe it was for the BBC, but that's vague now.
So, today is another physical therapy day. When i get back, i've got some work on a Jerome Moross project.
DR TCB, during the first six weeks of this infirmity I was able to pull books and music off my shelves, and I did, but i could not - because of the inability to stretch and reach - put back anything when the use of two arms required pulling and pushing. My floor is covered in books and scores, and I need to begin the cleanup process. Yesterday, Kim Criswell posted an article on the dangers of artificial sweetener aspartame, and I'm wondering if this isn't part of my health mess.

DR John G, me above imbecility? I doubt it.

Interesting. I don't doubt that people really do experience these sorts of ailments from aspartame, but I've been drinking it for more than 20 years and I've had none of the symptoms. Sure, I'm overweight, but I was long before I started drinking diet colas. :)
That being said, I also read something a few days ago (I can't remember if it was posted here) that said that aspartame is made from the poop of e. coli bacteria! :P
THIS (http://www.upi.com/Science_News/Blog/2013/08/26/Aspartame-patent-reveals-E-coli-feces-used/8131377527919/) isn't the exact article that I read, but it has all the same information.

Thursday afternoon greetings! Today was Mom's endoscopy, which went well. It was more involved than she realized, but she didn't refuse when the doctor said he wants to repeat it in several weeks (probably after Christmas). I stayed with her for a while and left so she could nap. The nurses in the clinic know she's recovering and she has her panic button around her neck.

Had a sandwich and no fries and a little cup of chili for my side - all excellent. Picked up three packages, one of which is something I've been drooling for since it was announced four months ago - the new Blu and Ray of Les Parapluis de Cherbourg, from a brand new transfer from the original camera negative. The last time this film had a new what they then called "restoration" was in the 90s and it was pretty awful, depending on which version you got - but none were anywhere near what this looked like. Same thing with Young Girls of Rochefort - when that Blu-ray came out I couldn't believe it - they'd done a brand new transfer with professionals at the helm and it was amazing - since the same team was involved with this one, I held high hopes - and having now watched the first twenty-five minutes, those high hopes were more than met - it is glorious.
DR Jane, in Oregon the sign up is all done by paper since the Cover Oregon site does not have the ability to do enroll people online at this time. Keith can go to the Cover Oregon site to find the coverge he wants and whether he would be eligible for a subsidy, but he will need to print out the papers and fill it out/send it in the old fashioned way if he wants coverage to begin Jan. 1st.
I would be wary of any insurance company that calls you, and whateve you do be sure you have at least checked Cover Oregon to make sure you are getting the best deal. Some insurance companies would prefer that you don't do any comparison shopping.
Here's an interview I did last week about my CLARA BOW play with the "Let's Misbehave: A Tribute to Pre-Code Hollywood" website.

State reps have been the ones calling and who said no one had signed up yet. They aren't selling anything and I believe the last person he spoke to is who called Regence to get them to respond to Keith's request for insurance.
