Whew!
I was the first post before BK!
Someone around these here parts had a brain lapse.
Today is Star Wars Day!! :D
Vibes for the whole Cole Porter cast and MD.
Hugs to TCB, remembering his Mom's birthday yesterday.

Elmore - The only number I felt approached controversial was the red-hot version of "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair."
Wonder what you thought of that approach to the number, if it registered as, well, inflammatory?
Thanks to everyone for the vibes for Dancing With the [Putnam County] Stars.
I am a bit distressed about the outcome.....but what can I say. Sharon and I were in last place....yes, last place.
The strange thing is that there were 12 couples in the competition. Eleven couples got perfect scores of 30, and Sharon and I got 29.
One of the judges doesn't like Sharon OR her husband, and she had mentioned that he might do something like that.....which he did. So it was kind of a bummer....but we had fun. And much money was raised for the Putnam County Youth Development Commission.
The audience was a bit confused as well....but it was a nice evening.

And the word of the day is: BIBACITY!
From yesterday #2 TCB
Indian and Kristin have been told that they are both too old for the film version of WICKED.
Couldn't they use the Lucille Ball filters from Mame? Who was at least 20 years too old for the role

That seems like a rather obvous slam to you and your partner. I think they need to be a little more select in their choice of judges.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Most Excellent Vibes & Xylophones to BK and Co. for a great show! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was my mother's birthday too. She had a good day despite still missing my Dad
I posted this to the NYT comments, and since I know the world must be waiting for a parody of "STAR" :) - couldn't work in Joy Behar, though
Tune of “Star” (Julie Andrews rendition for the seriously egregiously overlooked this year, like Denzel Washington, Daniel Craig, Zachary Quinto, Michael Hall, Daniel Radcliffe)
If his fame in one hundred nations makes the nominators nod off
If the buzz about his ovations only gives them reason to scoff
If those nominators say close but no cigar
The chances are: That guy’s a big star
If the fellow’s fame the world over makes committee members all sneer
If his grosses rolling in clover makes them act like he isn’t here
If those nominators ignore his repertoire
The chances are: The guy’s a big star
If the crowds pursue him, and press people woo him
The Tony folk view him as sub-par
If the guy is someone critics give a hand for
Someone tourists pay a grand for
Somehow the committee acts bizarre
He’s a genuine, wonderful, down-to-earth, talented
Perfect but Tony-free star!
The subject is now open and all is right with the world.
G'night!
VIBES TO FJL~~~~~~
My recent angst has been over my troublesome back issues. The program that worked for me for many years just isn't working anymore. I REALLY don't want surgery and have my doubts that it'd be all that helpful, anyway. So I am looking for alternatives. On Tuesday I'll see a new doc, the primary care physician that I selected at UCLA. I hope he understands my condition--the majority of doctors do not. Then we'll see whether he approves the referrals I request (it's a long list) and how much of the cost I'll have to take care of myself.
My hairdresser's neighbor recently had the surgery. I'd like to talk to her. Our situations are somewhat different, but it might be enlightening.
Jrand, in addition to the obvious favoritism, isn't it a bit strange that all the others had perfect scores? Is this the custom or is grading more like the Olympics?
Great Porter vibes to BK and Company!
Thanks for asking, DR Jane. Using the cloth has prevented any new rash, but the original one has not abated in the least. :P
Indian and Kristin have been told that they are both too old for the film version of WICKED.
Is Indian any relation to "Adele Dazeem"
Today I am heading up to Portland to see the original 1954 GODZILLA on the big screen
Not that 29 or 30 really matters, but how ridiculous for a judge to let their personal feelings determine how they vote. And also how weird to give all but one perfect scores.
Thank you DR JENNIFER. Yes DR ELMORE....and it's politic politics as well....Sharon is the only elected official who was a dance contestant and the judge IS a real judge at the local courthouse...so it was a double whammy!
Cole's sister Harper (age 2) wasn't as interested in ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE. She did like the part where, after Sally (played by June Kenney), finds that she has been shrunk to the size of a Barbie doll, she lets our a scream.
Harper thought that was funny, and proceeded to re-enact the scream over and over, and then laugh.
I think this candidate will soon be on RuPaul's Drag Race. I like how the story ended with a paragraph about him being in a three-way.
DR TCB, sorry about Scrooge.
DR TCB this kitten is sending you a hug.
After the first SIX times got perfect scores, I had kind of decided that they had planned to give everyone a perfect score and let the costume and personality numbers decide the winner.
DR MBarnum, is that the original Japanese version or the "original" US version with Raymond Burr spliced into it?
Yes DR JANE - the dance scores were announced, but scores for personality, costume, and creativity were given among the judges and not announced.
The winning couple had a total of 116 points.
A lot of the other contestants just assumed we got a score of 30 as well......
I looked it up and it is the original-extra cool! I wish we could have gone.
Is anyone else here, beides me, gong to be watching the season finale of RESURRECTION?
Is anyone else here, beides me, gong to be watching the season finale of RESURRECTION?
We watched the first episode and the rest were on at the same time we had other shows set to record. Have they been good? We want to catch the re-runs.
Have you been watching BELIEVE? We are in the same situation with that.
I have enjoyed all of the episodes, especially the acting on the show. Considering what I saw on the previews, I may change my mind about the show after tonight.
I take that back. I watched the first episode, but I found the the show annoying.
Thanks to all for the vibes.
TCB, I have scoliosis, a curve in my spine. I don't know if the curve has become worse or I've developed a second curve. It's quite uncomfortable and it affects all sorts of other things. The most likely surgery would be the Harrington rod, a rod inserted into my spine to straighten it.
Well, I must be off. Today is the one and only matinee of "Chamber Music." After last night's full house, there's hope that we'll have a full house again, but you never know what's going to happen at any performance. After the show, I'm going to my parents' house for dinner. My sister and niece will be there, too. We'll probably play either Phase 10 or Scrabble afterward.
Have a good day, all!
