Well, you've read the notes, the notes were dressed and final, and now it is time for you to post until the dressed and final cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: VERBICIDE!
-
Topic of the Day: two movies that I really liked, but the critics didn't were "John Carter (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401729/reference)" and "Battleship (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1440129/reference)." And both, coincidentally, starred Taylor Kitsch. Were they incredibly fabulous movies? No. But were they as bad as the reviews led one to believe? No. I didn't think that they were trying to be huge "blockbusters," but the expectation was that they were. I didn't expect that, so I wasn't disappointed. I just enjoyed them for what they were. :)
-
Taylor Kitsch is also in the new HBO movie, "The Normal Heart." I bought an Emmy For-Your-Consideration 29-DVD set that includes "The Normal Heart" AND "Six by Sondheim"(!), and it's supposed to arrive Wednesday.
-
Good somewhat early morning, all.
Found myself wide awake at six a.m., got up, and made coffee. I actually didn't mind being up for some reason, but at the same time, I already feel the need for a LI'L nap. Oy. Oh well.
-
Okay, these are my favorite notes to date re LI'L ABNER. A dream show has come together. I wish more than anything that I could be flying out there today.
-
Fantastic about your show, bk. Wishing you and your cast and crew all the best tonight on your preview performance!
-
I'll drink to that...

That's some set, DR George! Ebay?

I was looking for a shot of Bruce and donuts from the First Nudie musical to show that nothing has changed after 35+ years, but instead I found this which I thought was interesting.
Recorded on July 16, 2011 for Bizarre Noir's production of Miss Robusta Goes To The Movies at The Players Theatre in New York City. Ambar Aranaga, Alexis Braxton, Monica Hernandez, Nancy Ellen Reinstein, and Camellia Tatara sing Honey Whatcha Doin' Tonight from The First Nudie Musical - music by Bruce Kimmel
http://youtu.be/BG21L3gnTPo (http://youtu.be/BG21L3gnTPo)
-
Good morning, all! I slept later than I should have, but I am dressed and ready to face a day at PRIMROSE rehearsal. Yesterday went well, with a few shaky moments in refining the music and the vocal parts. When I got home I had a lot of 1924 London references to look up. The one thing I could not find was the allusion to "her oyster bar" in the comedy song"Mary Queen of Scots." I would probably need several British magazines from the period and hopefully an article or advertisement to find the answer. The other difficult one in the song, since the 1924 cast recording is not the clearest sound, is the line "William . . . at the Battle of Waterloo." I would swear that he's singing "William Hooper who died at the battle" but it also sounds like "William Hooperthrough died. . ."
So, I spent time last night looking at casualty lists from 1815 and it might be surgeon "William Cooper who . . ." but since the verse is about royal messes, I;m wondering if the line is about William II of the Netherlands, the Prince of Orange, who was wounded, only I can't find anything on the garbled sound to verify this. So much for research tribulations.
More coffee!
-
I also learned that the Bloody Mary, which was named after Queen Mary I, daughter of Henry VIII, not Mary Queen of Scots, was invented at Harry's American Bar in Paris, an establishment that was recreated onstage in the 1933 musical ROBERTA.
-
That's some research you've got on your plate, DR Elmore.
-
Interesting about the Bloody Mary.
-
Sending out those good vibes for everybody for everything!
-
Morning, all! Thrilled to hear about the Lil' Abner production; breaking-of-legs vibes to the cast & crew!
TOD:
It had many weak spots, but the George Wolfe revival of "On The Town" in Central Park is one that will stay with me for many more years to come. Just to hear that score outdoors in the Delacorte was a life-altering experience for me.
-
Haven't fully caught up, but great to hear about the show!
-
With all this talk of Amish feasts and chocolate peanut butter things, I can't seem to stop thinking about food.
-
DR TCB, re: who will win Dancing With The Stars.
You wrote that you would be surprised if Meryl and Maks don't win.
While I think they probably have the best chance to win I would not be surprised at all if Amy and Derek win.
Meryl and Maks: 1. Yes she is the best dancer left, 2. Yes her and Maks have great chemistry, 3. Maks has never won.
But IMO what Amy and Derek are doing is more amazing. I expected Meryl to be exactly as good as she is. I would never in million years have thought that Amy could do what she is doing.
I think that Derek and Amy could easily win because: 1. Derek is the most popular pro, 2. What Amy is doing is remarkable considering she has no feet, 3. Derek knows how to choreograph for his partners and his freestyle was the most original.
I am shocked at the comments I read on facebook from Meryl and Maks' fans towards Amy. I feel like the standard that Amy is dancing at is so high (not quite as good as Meryl, but considering the challenges she has I think just as worthy of winning).
Also, it is slightly possible that a lot of Christians will vote for Candace just because they like her and her faith. I personally think that she is the most likeable contestant. And she had absolutely no dance experience. But I would not be happy if she won, since I feel that she is way below the others in dance ability.
-
TOD:
Most people I know (including my wife) hate THE ENGLISH PATIENT. It's not one of my favorite movies, but I do like it...and so did the Academy.
I also like THE GODFATHER, Part III...though I agree that the casting of Sofia Coppola was a mistake.
Additionally, I like CRASH...as did the Academy.
-
Tuesday morning greetings! I have another quiet day ahead, with some puttering on the schedule and maybe a walk around the neighborhood. After the hectic weekend, I'm really enjoying this down time.
-
I am very casually watching DWTS, mostly because of Meryl and Charlie. Last night I fully expected Candace to be eliminated, but what do I know?
-

-
Good morning. I spent a lovely couple of days out of town looking for birds. Found some, too.
-
I've got my contacts in, which at the moment aren't focusing so perfectly, and I thought DR Laura said she had spent a lovely couple of days out of town looking for brides.
-
It's almost eleven in the a.m. I wonder how much longer we're supposed to sit here on page one.
-
Well, you know what?
There's no Jack S. like our Jack S.
-
And remind me to fire that chauffeur.
-
Did that do it?
-
YES!
Which just goes to show that the country's in the very best of hands.
-
Okay, these are my favorite notes to date re LI'L ABNER. A dream show has come together. I wish more than anything that I could be flying out there today.
What Charles said.
BK, I am just so happy for you.
-
TOD:
Far too many of my favorite movies are disliked by audiences and critics alike. I don't understand it.
-
For those who might be interested...and you know who you are...you can get the entire series of GIDGET on dvd from Amazon.com for less than $9.00.
-
Sally Field! Good lord. I never saw any of that.
-
I think I only ever saw the movie GIDGET GOES HAWAIIAN.
-
I'm past my prime.
-
DWTS:
I figured it would come down to James Maslow and Meryl Davis, with Amy Purdy a possible dark horse. Now I find that Candace Cameron Bure's "following" (including that of her brother, Kirk, apparently) are propping her up WAY above her abilities or true appeal. She should have been gone before Danica, so something other than dancing appeal is at work here.

After all, you is nearly 17.
-
DR Jeanne I suspect the vet you know stole that quote ;)
-
DR George I'm trying to figure out why you even began reading a book called "My Cousin, My Gastroenterologist"
-
I found an interesting article on thermography. (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/christiane-northrup/the-best-breast-test-the-_b_752503.html)
If you read the article I suggest also reading the comments.
DR Jeanne, thanks for mentioning this. If this really works maybe I wouldn't also need an MRI.
-
I also learned that the Bloody Mary, which was named after Queen Mary I, daughter of Henry VIII, not Mary Queen of Scots, was invented at Harry's American Bar in Paris, an establishment that was recreated onstage in the 1933 musical ROBERTA.
Interesting.

TOD:
Most people I know (including my wife) hate THE ENGLISH PATIENT. It's not one of my favorite movies, but I do like it...and so did the Academy.
I wouldn't say I hated it. I think I found it fairly boring.
-
I've got my contacts in, which at the moment aren't focusing so perfectly, and I thought DR Laura said she had spent a lovely couple of days out of town looking for brides.
That is how my hearing works these days. I often sound like an idiot responding incorrectly to something said to me. ;D
-
Okay, these are my favorite notes to date re LI'L ABNER. A dream show has come together. I wish more than anything that I could be flying out there today.
I agree with DR ChasSmith!! How I wish I could get down there and see the show this weekend :(
-
And in other news, I drank the last diet Vernors last night, and I'm saving the last eight regular ones for, I dunno, a special occasion? But I just got back from a quick shopping trip to a supermarket that isn't my usual one, and they carried several brands of ginger beer. Since I'm "dieting" at the moment, I went for the one they had in a diet version:
http://www.barrittsgingerbeer.bm/
It's chilling now. As am I.
-
Okay, so, for no other reason than it'll get us one post further along on this page, here's a picture of a duck and the third rail, which I like to call "Duck and Third Rail".
-
That cleared the room but good.
-
I'm up, I'm up - a great night of sleep but slept way too late. Must go eat in the next ten minutes or there will be no time to do so.
-
re firing the chauffeur - another great running gag not in the show, just the movie - it's in OUR show :)
-
LOL.....I am so happy reading about LI'L ABNER......
Preview vibes for MR BK & Co......
I hope all yore ho-rizens iz broadened!
-
The vibes worked, we almost finished "Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat" - a couple of things didn't work, so I will be improving those on Wednesday evening.
Musically it wasn't very good - but our vocal director is back on Wednesday to sharpen it up!
-
The roof yesterday....

Happy Liza Doolittle Day, everyone!! :D
-
Cost us $39,000 for the whole project.....that is noise reducing insulation under the metal roof they are adding. Between the insulation AND the old roof, it should be quieter than rain on the old roof.... It is not tin, not sure what the material is, but it is nice.
We won't need another roof unless the barn falls down.
-
DR ELMORE did you know that MQOS was bar on the lower East Side....
http://www.yelp.com/biz/mary-queen-of-scots-new-york
They do served oysters on the half shell....or at least they did, when they were open. :D

That's some set, DR George! Ebay?
Yup. One set sold for only $35 or so (there was bidding). Even though I paid about twice that with a buy-it-now option (just under $66 with shipping), for 29 discs (and the fact that there's no telling how much anyone is willing to pay for something like that), I don't think I really paid too much. There's one buy-it-now set available now for $79.99.
Also, several of the individual discs from the set are available from $10-$15. "Six by Sondheim" and "Normal Heart" (which are what I was really interested in) can start anywhere from $25 to as much as $50 EACH.

Cool! Thanks for sharing!
-
DR George I'm trying to figure out why you even began reading a book called "My Cousin, My Gastroenterologist"
It was just published, we had just received it, and I passed it on a cart that was going to be processed. The title and the cover looked interesting, so I decided to take a chance and read something "different." It was "different," alright. Just not my cuppa.
;)
-
re firing the chauffeur - another great running gag not in the show, just the movie - it's in OUR show :)
Incredible!!!
I don't have a script, and I haven't seen it on stage since I was, uh.... 14 or 15? But I never dreamed that any of those great gags were only written for the movie. That's just wrong, and I'm glad you're putting 'em back!
-
DR Jrand63, you really do have Amish guys doing the roof? If so, that's pretty great.
-
DR TCB the 'Hourglass' number was supposed to be done last night, but you weren't there. I went ahead and did the Hot Box Girls part of the song, but you are scheduled for 8 p.m. this evening.....
NO BOOKS!
-
DR Jrand63, you really do have Amish guys doing the roof? If so, that's pretty great.
Yes, I forget the name of the company.....but they had the lowest bid and came with the highest recommendations.
-
You can see their hats and suspenders in this cropped photo. I guess that's some kind of ladder he's standing on....but the pitch of the roof is so steep, I wouldn't want to work on it....the current roof took weeks to finish about 25 years ago. :D

Now that we can get married in Oregon, I am hoping that George Clooney will give up the silly idea of getting hitched to that girl, and finally accept my proposal.
That woman will do nothing but make his life miserable, and that is my job!
-
I'd been thinking that the strictest Amish work for and with each other, but not for the "English". I was probably wrong. What about the use of power tools and such? Maybe it's all on how strict they choose to be.
-
I think it depends on the job....don't you watch Amish Mafia on A/E.....they drive cars and everything.
I think for work, they can use modern equipment....or my posting that photo is going to get somebody SHUNNED!
-

I never heard of Amish Mafia! I must see this.
-
Good news all around for you and the theater, DR Jrand63!! :)
-
I just had my first Vernor's ever, and loved it. Thanks for the recommendation, DR ChasSmith! :)
-
Isn't it great DR SINGDAW?
-
Oh, it's on the Discovery Channel....
http://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/amish-mafia
-
Off to rehearsal....DR TCB don't be late, or I will have to do your part.
-
Thanks, DR Jrand63. I'll look for it.
-
And I am home! This is a sad day because i had to say goodbye to the PRIMROSE cast today, and I will miss them tomorrow and the concert on Thursday. I think it will be fun. We spent a lot of time today on the text and on some blocking moments.
Then, Rob and I went to a Mexican restaurant for a burrito.
DR JRand63, I know about the MQOS bar and restaurant in Manhattan. I wish I'd gone to it at some point.
I saw my super this morning on my way out. The supplies at here and I should have a repaired bathroom ceiling very soon.
-
I've got my contacts in, which at the moment aren't focusing so perfectly, and I thought DR Laura said she had spent a lovely couple of days out of town looking for brides.
If DR Vixmom had posted she was out looking for brides, you would have understood she meant birds.
-
The roof today....those Amish guys work fast.
That's because they don't keep stopping to update Facebook.
-
Had a ham and Swiss on rye with no fries, began writing the Kritzerland show commentary and also began crafting questions for the Richard Sherman event. Now I'll get ready and be on my way to LACC.
-
Now that we can get married in Oregon, I am hoping that George Clooney will give up the silly idea of getting hitched to that girl, and finally accept my proposal.
That woman will do nothing but make his life miserable, and that is my job!
I wish you the best of luck, Mike! I will, of course, be very jealous and envious of your impending nuptials.
;D
-
And in other news, I drank the last diet Vernors last night, and I'm saving the last eight regular ones for, I dunno, a special occasion?
The market had in the diet Vernors today and Keith purchased some. He has to use up his, what he calls tasteless, Canada Dry first.
-
DR Jrand the roof looks nice.
-
Many of them seem tasteless next to Vernors.
The Barritts ginger beer is okay but not great. At least you can taste the ginger. But there's another off-taste in there that needs to be displaced by more ginger.
-
DR George I'm trying to figure out why you even began reading a book called "My Cousin, My Gastroenterologist"
It was just published, we had just received it, and I passed it on a cart that was going to be processed. The title and the cover looked interesting, so I decided to take a chance and read something "different." It was "different," alright. Just not my cuppa.
;)
I have begun many a book aware the odds were I wouldn't finish. Sometimes there is a pleasant surprise so it is worth the chance on the next one.
-
Well, off I go for another round of auditions. God save the Queen. Or something.
-
Now that we can get married in Oregon, I am hoping that George Clooney will give up the silly idea of getting hitched to that girl, and finally accept my proposal.
That woman will do nothing but make his life miserable, and that is my job!
;D
I wasn't surprised he is engaged to her. With his previous girlfriends he didn't look happy with them, with this one he did.
-
The roof today....those Amish guys work fast.
That's because they don't keep stopping to update Facebook.
;D
Keith told the dermatologist she needs wifi in the office & the staff has been saying the same thing, possibly for their own personal use and the reason wifi might not make it to the office.
-
When we lived in Pennsylvania we went to a popular, upscale, flee market that had a good number of Amish venders. I became very friendly with one of the women who took the time to explain a number of the customs & what they could & could not do.
For one it was a good distance from Amish country to us and they don't drive. It was ok to hire a driver. They also went to movies. Once again, acceptable as they weren't doing the work.
I remember when WITNESS came out and she had seen it. She liked the movie except said the love story couldn't happen.

On the twentieth of May, I proclaim Liza Doolittle Day!
Today would have also been my parents 57th Wedding Anniversary.
That's hard.
-
And today my Verizon credit came through! That cheered me up.
-
That's a relief!
-
Yoder's is the place I remember from when I lived in Sarasota.
-
Due to some paperwork snafu, I will not likely be able to walk the stage at graduation. If that happens, I may not go to upstate New York as planned. I'll still get the degree.
-
Great notes today on Li'l Abner.
-
TOD:
Most of the stuff I like has usually been disliked by the public.
Most Robert Altman movies
The Wiz (the soundtrack is better than watching the movie, but I still enjoy parts of the movie)
Barcelona and Damsels in Distress, both from Whit Stillman
-
And today my Verizon credit came through! That cheered me up.
Very good news, Larry! :D
-
Due to some paperwork snafu, I will not likely be able to walk the stage at graduation. If that happens, I may not go to upstate New York as planned. I'll still get the degree.
That's too bad, John. :(
-
And now, I'm off. Tonight is the Washington Center for the Performing Arts' Volunteer Appreciation Night! I'm going downtown to be appreciated. ;) There'll be food and door prizes and they're going to announce their next season!
After that will be Theater Artists Olympia's monthly board meeting. Hopefully, we'll have a quorum. Several people are in rehearsals for shows and can't be there. We'll see how it goes.
Be back later!
-
Happy Liza Doolittle Day!
-
There have been lots of other celebs in the finals who weren't the best dancers. If you are popular you can do well regardless of your judges scores.
-
I was happy when I got home that there was a message from the library. The girl who got that book I wanted decided not to take it. So I turned around and picked it up at the library. Yippee!
-
The weather is so gorgeous!!
-
I am looking forward to watching DWTS tonight. Go Amy and Derek! Though I will be happy for Maks if he wins with Meryl. I do like him (just not as much as I love Derek).
-
Due to some paperwork snafu, I will not likely be able to walk the stage at graduation. If that happens, I may not go to upstate New York as planned. I'll still get the degree.
I somehow missed that you had decided to do the walk. I hope you won't mind if you can't.
-
I was happy when I got home that there was a message from the library. The girl who got that book I wanted decided not to take it. So I turned around and picked it up at the library. Yippee!
:)
-
To celebrate Eliza Doolittle Day, I listened to Billy Porter's new CD, which just came in at the library. I'm really enjoying it. He sings some songs associated with Liza (But the World Goes 'Round) and Streisand (Don't Rain on My Parade), but he also does a nice version of "On the Street Where You Live."
I also really like his version of "Take the Moment," but I'm not entirely sold on his version of "Sing Happy" with Cyndi Lauper singing "Happy Days Are Here Again."
-
I am now watching "All Is Lost." Great Redford performance.
-
Sorry to hear that news about your graduation, DR John G. :-\
-
Good evening, all!
Sneaking in to wish BK and the cast a brilliant Opening night!!
I'm looking forward to seeing the show. I am still not sure yet which night I can be there. How do I get tickets, btw? :)
-
Redbox released THE MONUMENTS MEN today and we are about to watch it.
'night
-
Back from auditions, round two. It's not completely cast, so calls must be made.
-
I'm cheering for Maks and Meryl.
-
The roof today....those Amish guys work fast.
That's because they don't keep stopping to update Facebook.
LOL!!!
-
I'm currently reading The History of the Amish....no really, I am.
-
Now that we can get married in Oregon, I am hoping that George Clooney will give up the silly idea of getting hitched to that girl, and finally accept my proposal.
That woman will do nothing but make his life miserable, and that is my job!
;D
I wasn't surprised he is engaged to her. With his previous girlfriends he didn't look happy with them, with this one he did.
Yeah, but they aren't married yet....we'll see if he actually goes through with it
-
DR Jane, I loved The Monuments Men
-
Since I've been E and T..... I was very pleased with the winners of TAR
-
I'm making a quiche for the first time. Just threw ingredients in to a pie crust ... looks overloaded, but smells delish!! Still in the oven. Left over green beans/potatoes, soy italian sausage (SOOO good) and some kale, eggs and a pie crust - really, how could you go wrong?
-
Last night I went to the high school graduation of my young client from Guatemala who we have sort of adopted. He was so excited. It was fun just to be there. After graduation a group of us walked across the street from the arena to Perkins, he was so excited he never took off his cap and gown the whole evening. Well, when he went to eat and the tassel started to get in his food, he did take the cap off. It was so cool to see how proud he was. It was a great night
-
I won't be sorry if Amy and Derek win, they have done amazing things. But I love Maks and Meryl together and I'd love to see them win. They got all my votes
-
Amy has been the most inspirational. I will say that
-

Saturday I did some yard work and some shopping
-
Sunday I ripped out the roots of some dead bushes and planted spirea and put down some mulch. Still lots of landscaping to do, but I'm going to take one little area at a time so it feels more doable. I also planted some flowers in pots. Lots of snapdragons. I love snapdragons
-
Today I was really tired. Glad to just sit back and watch DWTS
-
I am staying home over the holiday weekend and doing yard work and/or finishing the room I started redoing right before my car accident 2 years ago. I'm finally able to do all this stuff
-
There was someone who sang tonight on DWTS and I didn't understand one word she sang. Why would I want to listen to that?

Now that we can get married in Oregon, I am hoping that George Clooney will give up the silly idea of getting hitched to that girl, and finally accept my proposal.
That woman will do nothing but make his life miserable, and that is my job!
He isn't from India.
-
Off to rehearsal....DR TCB don't be late, or I will have to do your part.
Sorry, I didn't get home from lunch in time
-
YEAH!!!! I am happy with the winners of DWTS
-
I'm making a quiche for the first time. Just threw ingredients in to a pie crust ... looks overloaded, but smells delish!! Still in the oven. Left over green beans/potatoes, soy italian sausage (SOOO good) and some kale, eggs and a pie crust - really, how could you go wrong?
I'll have a slice.
-
Sorry to hear that news about your graduation, DR John G. :-\
It's not done yet. We'll see.
-
Watching Casino for the first time. Really irritated by all of the narration. There's more narration than action, even with Joe Pesci committing heinous acts every few minutes. Wish they'd shut up. It's like watching one of those movies for the blind where they tell you everything that's happening.
-
Sorry you may not get to walk graduation, glad you'll still get the degree
-
I've got my contacts in, which at the moment aren't focusing so perfectly, and I thought DR Laura said she had spent a lovely couple of days out of town looking for brides.
If DR Vixmom had posted she was out looking for brides, you would have understood she meant birds.
you can never tell with Vixmom, it could mean ANYTHING!

I wish you the best of luck, Mike! I will, of course, be very jealous and envious of your impending nuptials.
;D
I am sorry to disappoint you, Mike, but I have first dibs.... and really why would he want that skinny, beautiful , rich, intelligent woman when he could have this
<===================================================

Due to some paperwork snafu, I will not likely be able to walk the stage at graduation. If that happens, I may not go to upstate New York as planned. I'll still get the degree.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
-
And today my Verizon credit came through! That cheered me up.
HOO! and also RAY!

I wasn't surprised he is engaged to her. With his previous girlfriends he didn't look happy with them, with this one he did.
Yeah, but they aren't married yet....we'll see if he actually goes through with it
He won't if I have anything to say about it!
-
that's all she wrote for me, folks.
Have a good night, all.
-
So I was at the doctor today and, yes, indeedy, that sore throat tested positive for strep.
-
explains why I have been feeling so poorly and plum tuckered out
-
and so I am off to bed
-
good night!
-
Glad to hear of the success with the roof, JRand. Great references and a good price--how often does that happen?
-
DR Chaz, have you tried Reed's Ginger Beer? I don't usually drink fizzy drinks, but I do like this one. The local Trader Joe's has it.
-
I found an interesting article on thermography. (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/christiane-northrup/the-best-breast-test-the-_b_752503.html)
If you read the article I suggest also reading the comments.
DR Jeanne, thanks for mentioning this. If this really works maybe I wouldn't also need an MRI.
This article explains thermography very well. It's not just for breast cancer detection, either; it can be used anywhere on the body. Jane, do you see why I'm outraged that UCLA and other major institutions don't offer it?

Sunday I ripped out the roots of some dead bushes and planted spirea and put down some mulch. Still lots of landscaping to do, but I'm going to take one little area at a time so it feels more doable. I also planted some flowers in pots. Lots of snapdragons. I love snapdragons
I like snapdragons, too. I was so intrigued with them as a child.

Me too! When I saw them at the store last week I had to have them.
-
Well, guess I'll call it a night. It's been a busy week and tomorrow is no exception. I better get some sleep.
-
explains why I have been feeling so poorly and plum tuckered out
Sorry to hear that. I've been fighting a sore throat, too. Now I'm getting worried. Are you taking antibiotics?
-
Can you cut back on your work hours a bit?
-
DR Jeanne asks the silliest questions.

I need to get some sleep, too.
Good night!

HOO & Ray, for the winners of DWTS!
-
However, I must say, I am becoming such an old person. The singer, Christina Perri was on DWTS tonight. I really like her music, but those damn tattoos! She is a pretty girl, but they just ruin her looks.

Back from auditions, round two. It's not completely cast, so calls must be made.
Speaking of auditions...right now, I'm watching a documentary on DVD called "The Standbys (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FA7ETFK/)." It's about three actors who have been cast in roles as the person who ONLY goes on if the regular actor can't. It's informative, touching and at times absolutely heartbreaking. It's just the actors in their own words. I think it's very well done.

Back from the preview, about which more in the notes.
