Well, you've read the notes, the notes were fruitful, and now it is time for you to post until the fruitful cows come home. They're cognizant of the old saw, be fruitful and MOOltiply.

And the word of the day is: APRICATE!

Well, that was a bit of an ordeal...as the treasurer of Theater Artists Olympia, I had to renew our website domain, but it all has the information from the TAO treasurer, two treasurers ago. But it looked like if I wanted to change the name of the "owner," all the e-mail addresses associated with the website would NOT transfer over to me! WTH?? So, I updated all the contact information (address, personal e-mail address, phone number) to my info, EXCEPT I didn't change the name to mine. :-\
I sent an e-mail to that previous treasurer, and asking her to let me know if she gets any kind of e-mail confirmation or not. Hopefully, things won't get all screwy.
-
And now, to bed...hopefully, to sleep without coughing all night.
:P

Morning all.
That is all.

Good morning, all! I will shortly depart for Toyland. I hope I can accomplish all I want by no later than 2:00pm.

~ ~ ~ CONTINUING MEDICAL VIBES ~ ~ ~ for DR Mike!
-
Good Morning. And it's even almost Friday!
-
Good morning, all.
Enjoyed a decent, non-dreamed-filled night of sleep for a change. Well, there was at least one li'l dream. But nothing earthshaking.
Coffee!
-
Not that I mind my epic dreams, because they're endlessly facsinating. But when I have a long run of them, I spend far too much time thinking about them, and wishing parts of them were real and thanking the heavens that parts of them are not.
-
well I should be at work but instead I am sitting here like so much fish wondering how much the guy downstairs working on the burner is going to charge
Ah yes 10 degrees outside 30 degrees inside oh what a wonderful morning!

HUrrah only $175 now off to work

Fascinated by the Oscar nominations. I haven't seen many of the films, but the pundits on Tv suggest there are a lot of surprises.
-
Hope all goes well with the site, George.

Last night DR vixmom said that she and vixdad are going to Kissimmee, and I said I'm going to Orlando. DR John G. was just in Florida. I spent my pre-teen and some teen years in Florida, and of course DRs Mike and Danise live there.
Maybe someday we can all converge for an HHW Florida get-together.
Anyhoo, those of you at the Kritzerland shows in NYC met my good friends Kristi and Nathan who have been sharing my house for several years. For the first time ever, we've been able to coordinate a little mid-winter getaway, and next Wednesday morning we're flying into Orlando for a week of nice weather and a complete break from everything. Well, not every last thing -- I'll have the iPad with me and will be here for daily ketchups.
And that's my news o' the day!
-
Ah yes 10 degrees outside 30 degrees inside oh what a wonderful morning!
OMG!! I am very relieved to read in the next post that it's all fixed, and for CHEAP! :)

Greetings from Toyland!

Greetings to Toyland!

Well, I finally got a nice setup going with my keyboard, the iPad, and a MIDI interface and app, so I plan on spending a few hours today getting started on SHE LOVES ME.
-
Good morning, all.
ChasSmith, as long as it's freezing in Texas, I'm all up for a HHW get-together in Florida.
-
I rarely get to the movies, so I'm surprised that I saw three of the eight best picture nominees: Birdman, Theory of Everything and Grand Budapest Hotel.
-
Vixmom: Just saw your post from last night re: road trip/rose trip. First good laugh of the morning.
Keep up the good typing.
-
I am so happy the doggie was found. Thanks for following the story and for the photo DR JANE.

That is correct....turn the page.

I have finished up here, so I can head home. Last night, I remember that I had weird dreams, mostly about dead acquaintances and family: I remember my dad and Ron Raines were in several, and one of them was a mashup of Ohio, college theatre, and Manhattan. The one with Ro Raines had something to do with a late show at a movie theatre and something creep, but i forget what now.
So, to home.

Thursday morning greetings! I have been to have my hearing tested and to see the PA at the ENT office about the buzzing in my right ear. My hearing is close to perfect and the PA basically said, "Live with it."
-
Thanks Singdaw, George, & Vixmom.
Vixmom, apparently the story was on the news in Canada this morning. Maybe your in-laws saw it. My friend's sister did while she was at the dentist and yelled out "That is my brother" ;D
Annoying is how the airline downplayed the part where they told him his puppy had been stolen before they finally figured out he had been left on the flight to continue to Calgary.
-
tomorrow i go for the first of several test for my thyroid problems.
Sending super vibes!!!!
-
HUrrah only $175 now off to work
Not bad! May your house be nice and warm when you return home!

Thank you.

I'll trade you good hearing for the slight buzzing, wait I have that as well-lol

Fortunately, the buzzing is not constant. Certain things trigger it, like a church organ, some voices, water running over my head in the shower. The PA said sometimes grinding your teeth at night might aggravate it, so I think I'll go back to wearing the guard the dentist made for me several years ago.
-
DR Jane, I'm glad the Berner story has a happy ending.
-
I'm home now for a bite of lunch before going to visit Mom.
-
I have some tinnitus, too. Fortunately, I think (and of course fervently hope) that my hearing is still in good shape. One of these days I'll take a hearing test. Last time was a couple of decades ago, and it was great then.
But yeah, we have to get used to it. Mine is only a distraction at certain quiet times. When I'm really involved with some activity, and certainly with music or even watching something, I'm rarely aware of it. Sometimes even the quiet times are truly quiet. Not right now, though. There's a nice whistling going on in my right ear right now!
-
DR Ginny I hope wearing the night guard helps.

DR Ginny I hope wearing the night guard helps.
Well, it can't hurt!
-
DR Jane, I'm glad the Berner story has a happy ending.
Thanks. Here is the most recent news story I've read. This one acknowledges the fact my friends were told Levon was stolen.

That's for sure. :)

I've seen only one of the Best Picture nominees - THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL - and that was on the plane to Paris in September. We saw WILD on New Year's Eve, so we've seen Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern in their nominated roles.
-
And the word of the day is: APRICATE!
And The Song Of The Day Is: I GOT THE SUN IN THE MORNING
-
Thanks for the link DR JANE.
DR ELMORE dreams such as those you described are usually cleansing rather than informational.
-
I have yet to see THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING, but I am hesitating.....
I haven't seen SELMA either.
I am happy that both Patricia Arquette and Emma Sams were nominated for Best Supporting Actress.....that is a tough choice!!!
The supporting actor, best actor, and best supporting actor are also close calls.....whew!
-
There was a bit more stress this morning when Bill went missing. He has been found safe and is waiting for Levon to arrive. ;D I'm not sure yet but I think his new phone charger didn't work very well.
-
While we wait for the safe arrival of Levon, we are also waiting for the arrival of twins. Our friend is having a C-section today.
-
I have not seen AMERICAN SNIPER either.....
I do think there will be a tie in a category or two......
-
I'm up, I'm up - I think I got eight hours of sleep.
-
The audio books were just too difficult - I hired three different people, none of whom were quite professional enough to just sit down and do it, so I just stopped caring.
-
And I am home from today's wanderings.U need a market trip, so I will do that in a couple of hours.
-
Arizona Judge Sherry Stevens has denied ALL motions (including prosecutorial misconduct) to dismiss charges OR remove the Death Penalty from the table in the matter of Jodi Arias.
The Defense Team now has no doubt how she feels about them.
The 16 page ruling is here, if anyone is interested.

I just saw a photo of Levon in Bill's arms :)

Expecting baby news any minute now. I will relax once I know all is well.

Oh....and congrats to DR VIXMOM's preacher and his wife on their new family member!

Yes, congratulations. I meant to post that earlier. More little Lutherans!

~~~DITTO!!~~~
Hope all goes well with the site, George.
Thanks, Fred! I'm sure that it'll all be okay. :)
-
Futzed and finessed, the printed out the close to ninety pages. Got them Xeroxed and then dropped them at Muse Margaret's. Came home and did some new pages - three - and will do another three, then take a break. It does look like the dinner thing is on for tonight. The Dresden Room - a legendary LA restaurant I know nothing about.
-
Sounds nice on the web site! I don't think I ever knew about it.
-
The Dresden Room - that's quite a trek for a nosh.
-
I just had my last communication with my departing doctor. I had to ask her to refer me for another month of therapy and she confirmed it.
My computer continues to act strangely. as of this moment, i can no longer open jpg files. I've put a call into the Mac man.
-
Six pages done and chapter finished. Break time, then I'll try to do another four pages before dinner and two when I get home.
-
Mac Man - is he an X-Man or a Transformer
-
Oh....and congrats to DR VIXMOM's preacher and his wife on their new family member!
Ditto!
Good idea before she leaves.
The most interesting Academy Award nomination to me was for Danielle Brisebois for co-writing the song Lost Stars. If you don't recognize the name she was the original Molly in Annie and played Archie Bunker's niece in All In The Family/Archie Bunker's Place.
-
BK, let me see if I understand this completely. In order to raise money (i.e. a fundraiser) you have to follow certain guidelines given to you by the charity? And if you don't, then what? Do they give you your money back?
-
No news on those twins. I am trying to stay calm and not to email or call my friends.
-
The scotch I'm drinking is helping, and it is super yummy.
-
DR JRand64, my Mac Man is great! I have my plugins back in order for opening jpegs and all I need is $1500 to buy a new Mac.
-
Region gelled
I would say the fact I have not been able to read today expresses my state of mind.
-
George, the other day you said you watched GALAHAD. Did you mean GALAVANT?
-
George, the other day you said you watched GALAHAD. Did you mean GALAVANT?
Spoo! Of course. Have you watched any of it?
Vixmom and Vixdad, and DR Chas (and friends) are all heading to Florida too soon. I will be in Ft. Lauderdale, but not until March 21 and 22.
-
Damn! Well, I wouldn't have gotten anywhere near Ft. Lauderdale this trip, anyway, but wouldn't that have been great!
-
Funny how you're considered missing if you don't answer your cell phone.
-
After eating a ton of chocolate I can see the babies are fine. We still don't have a proper message. Keith got something on his phone but it wasn't from our friends & I found something on fb. We are a bit confused but immensely relieved.
DR Elmore has his Mac Man.
Does anyone here have a Mad Man?
True, but it was the breeder/friend who couldn't reach him and asked on his facebook page. He should have been in contact with her. I believe the problem was a hangover and sleeping in his clothes. He didn't plan to spend the night in a hotel-lol
Here is Levon on his LONG drive home & happy to be out of the crate.
JRand, they needed to raise all those issues again so that they are preserved for appeal. I'm sure they didn't expect to win them, but you still want to preserve them
I was about to thank Vixmom and let her know my region has gelled quite nicely....sounds like a new name for a roly poly belly
Wonderful news.
-
My cellphone battery died again. Ugh. I'm going to leave it alone for a few days and see if that does the trick again.
-
Waltz class tonight was fun. Nine days until the next competition. So much to do between now and then.
-
Oh oh! Another slow night in paradise!
-
What shall I free-associate about tonight?
-
I will admit that this is cheaper than therapy,
-
I wonder where George is tonight?
-
I think John will have to give up these dance classes. He is way too tired when he gets home.
-
Seattle Seahawk fever is getting nuts around the Northwest.
-
Tomorrow is Blue Shirt Friday, and I will wager that three out of every four will be wearing Seahawks gear.
-
Levon is very cute. I am glad that everything worked out.
-
Not to mention the extra posts we got out of his being missing.
I used some sliced canned potatoes and cooked them with the pork chops in some reserved marinade, I had pickeled red cabbage and Vixdad had peas
Sunday the Seahawks are playing the Green Bay Packers at noon, our time.
Love that cartoon, Vixmom.
-
Sorry, but I have had to work tonight. I'd rather just enjoy my movie.
Vixdad suddenly came down with a head cold over night
vibes are requested the cold goes away without moving into mine very own self before we head out on vacation
Been watching "Love Me Tonight." Great musical. Hadn't seen it in years. Myrna Loy hilarious in a secondary role as a nymphomaniac.
Man: Countess, could you go for a doctor?
Loy: Yes, bring him in.
Been watching "Love Me Tonight." Great musical. Hadn't seen it in years. Myrna Loy hilarious in a secondary role as a nymphomaniac.
Man: Countess, could you go for a doctor?
Loy: Yes, bring him in.
oh Ilove that line!
So are Seahawks football, basketball or hockey players?
I dont follow sports but I kinda know which sports are played in part of the year
They are football. They are one win away from returning to the Super Bowl.
I have heard of the Superbowl.... that's the show with all the great commercials
That's the one. And between commercials they play football.
that's when I hit the buffet, while everyone else is gathered around the Tee Vee
And Katy Perry is doing the half time show.
who?
who?
Seriously?
Did Vixmom fall asleep?
No I was trying to find out who Katy Perry was
I found out she says she did not pay for the opportunity to sing at the Superbowl (and I was surprised that was even a question - you PAY to work the Superbowl?! That's crazy talk)
but I am no closer to knowing what or how she sings. The songs mentioned meant nothing to me
-
I am out of the popular music loop; I haven't listened to top 40 radio in years I always listen to NPR in the car now
I like some of her songs. She isn't my favorite.
Which reminds me tonight they were doing some story about a couple of guys who "rap" the news , in France
The suddenly I found myself listening to rap (which I despise) in French (which I do not speak)
Seemed kind of pointless so I rode home in silence
I listen to the Broadway Channel on Sirius Radio.
Looking forward to a Dresden report.
TCB, the ALS benefit thing is different this year. They usually do their own Gala every year, which is where they make their really substantial money from large donations. Because our show date kind of conflicted, we all met and it was decided to combine the two - which is why they get the thirty minutes to do their thing. It's my job to make sure it doesn't stop the show or impede its flow - I don't think that will necessarily be easy, but it's my job and I will make sure we have a great show.
Got it. I didn't realize that it was going to be a combined affair. I am sure you will make it great.
Well, I must get off this computer.
G'night!
Back from The Dresden Room and what I must say was a somewhat disappointing experience. We arrived at seven and there wasn't a soul in the restaurant. They sat us and we ordered. We both had prime rib (I had the larger cut with the bone) and salad, baked potato and I also ordered a shrimp cocktail. To start, they brought us some garlic bread. The thought it smelled heinous, but I took a bite and it really was strike one - just awful, and nothing like The Smoke House or any other good garlic bread.
The shrimp cocktail sauce was decent and so were the shrimps, although while they were decent-sized, they weren't the best kind of shrimp for shrimp cocktail. But decent enough. The ranch dressing was great, but they don't make it themselves (none of their dressings were homemade). Then came the prime rib, which was HUGE. We both liked but didn't love it. Mine was a bit difficult to negotiate because it was a little tough - flavor-wise it was good, though, but not anywhere near Lawry's or The Smoke House. The best food of the evening was the baked potato. It's not somewhere I never need to go again. I am uncomfortably full right now.
-
And not a good full.
Prior to leaving, I'd written ten pages. I was making lots of changes as I went, trying to find the right way to do a little sequence, which I finally figured out just before David got here. When I got home, I took what I'd written earlier and worked it into the new way I'd found - that went very quickly. Then I just kept writing, so I think I did a total of fifteen pages in all.
-
Oh, too bad. Well, write that one off.
I don't think I've ever had prime rib at even a halfway decent place that I had to describe as tough. That's crazy, man.
-
Best of all, Muse Margaret got the pages soon after I dropped them off. She read them without being able to put them down, and loved them - with not one note about anything. Most heartening, her favorite thing was the thing I'd waffled about a few days ago - how to do a particular sequence - I'd written it the way I thought it should be, then started second guessing myself, and I figured out a different way to do it. But when I read it the next morning I felt I'd done the right thing and that it was just what was needed at that point in the book. And Margaret felt exactly the same way. She said she was laughing out loud for the entirety of that section.
-
I know, it was a first for tough prime rib - it was really hard to cut, but that might have been the thickness, too.
I wonder where George is tonight?
I'm home watching TV, and still coughing a LOT.
:P
DR vixmom's back. I wonder if she's snoring into the keyboard.
Oh what the HELL, here's a new page! :)
Of course, I'd hate for that to be the last word on the subject.
So here's one more.
Oh, no! Ervin Drake, songwriter of ‘It Was a Very Good Year,’ dies at 95 (http://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/music/ervin-drake-songwriter-of-it-was-a-very-good-year-dies-at-95/2015/01/15/a7e1cae6-9cec-11e4-a7ee-526210d665b4_story.html)...but wow! He lived to be 95 years old!
Well, I cannot keep my eyes open. I don't know why I seem to be so tired, but I'm going to bed now. Tomorrow, I usher for a musical group from Canada called The Good Lovelies (http://wcpa.squarespace.com/upcoming-events/2015/1/16/good-lovelies.html). I watched a couple of their music videos and they're pretty good. I'm sure that I'll enjoy their live performance. :)
Good night, all!
