Well, you've read the notes, the notes had no detours, and now it is time for you to post until the detoured cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ULTRACREPIDARIAN!
-
Topic of the Day: I really enjoy "Castle" with Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic.
-
I used to watch "Law & Order: Los Angeles," but that got cancelled.
-
Well, I'm off to bed. I didn't sleep as much as I wanted last night and I really want to be awake for "The Birdman."
Good night, all!
-
First post in the actual morning!
-
good morning to all
-
TOD
NCIS is the only program I watch.
-
I had an "Inception" dream within a dream but I knew I was dreaming both dreams so I guess it can't be considered an Inception type dream
-
Good morning, all! I did not finish typing up my edit notes for the Moross score until 12:30am, and I slept in. I forgot that I have a delivery today, so i am stuck at home for the nonce.
I've been invited to a 1:00 reading of a one-person show, and I hope I can get to it.
-
Good morning, all.
Black ice outside. Coffee inside. I'll take the coffee.
-
Now that the Moross show is on hold for my Pant Your Wagon work, I need to clean off my desk and get my PYW materials lined up for the next month. Joshie wants the product by Feb. 13. The orchestra reading is on Feb. 27.
-
It should be a very pretty day today. We'll see.....
-
Good morning, all.
Happy Monday vibes.
-
TOD:
I don't watch any current shows, but I would watch anything with Viola Davis, so that would include "How to Get Away with Murder." I don't really know if "State of Affairs" falls under this category, but it has another of my favorite actresses, Alfre Woodard, in it.

TOD:
JUSTIFIED
LAW & ORDER: SVU
MAJOR CRIMES
BOARDWALK EMPIRE
-
Monday morning greetings! My calendar is pretty clear this week and I'm looking forward to some puttering around the house.

Very nice, Druxy.
-
For the TOD: I love Major Crimes and Rizzoli & Isles (but we are unfortunately seasons behind here in Canada). I do like How to Get Away with Murder and I do like The Mysteries of Laura.
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep.
-
TOD - NCIS (all versions), Castle, Rizzoli & Isles, and the new PBS series Grantchester.
-
Pant Your Wagon.....I do not know from this show.
-
I like the original NCIS and....
ELEMENTARY
HAWAII FIVE-O
Most of the others I don't watch because I don't like the actors in them.....
-
I tried to watch GLEE this week.....but a couple of the characters are SO annoying to me....it may be the performers....that I couldn't stick with it.
I also HATE mashups.....they are the nadir of musical combinations. I am not talking about putting two songs together for a purpose as MR BK does.....I am talking about mashing TAPESTRY and JAGGED LITTLE PILL.....ugh
When Kurt starting singing "It's Too Late" with Blaine....it was about all I could do not to turn it off then. However I did like Santana's complete put down of Kurt (and the actor) that said some very true things. So that was a plus.
I don't mind the Blaine/Karofsky pairing as much as DR GEORGE does - anything to get Blaine away from sharing screen time with Kurt is aces with me.
Doubt that I will watch it again.....
SPOILER GLEE SPOILER
Some websites say that Kurt and Blaine get married in episode eight.
-
"That's a human ear, all right."

-
DR Druxy, my condolences on the loss of your friend and client.
-
Topic of the Day: I really enjoy "Castle" with Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic.
This might be the last season. It is still undecided.
-
George, I got to meet Lillian Gish at a showing of Way Down East back in 1980 or 1981. It was a real thrill. I wonder if that were one of the shows that featured the organist you mentioned. I can't remember if the music were live or not.
-
Pant Your Wagon.....I do not know from this show.
They Call the Wind Maria, Wand'ring Star and I Talk to the Trees are among the better-known songs. I'd love a more complete recording of the show than the OBC. Some beautiful music there.
-
And the word of the day is: ULTRACREPIDARIAN!
And The Song Of The Day Is: I RESOLVE
Put That In Your Pipe And..........

-
Thanks for sharing the info and the link DR DRUXY.
DR JOHN G.....that's a different show....
-
Comments from last week's GLEE.
I agree with DR George. The new pairing with Blaine is so creepy and I don't believe he would do that.
I actually love the mash-ups.
-
TOD:
I really like "Perception", but it's on hiatus right now. My new favorite crime show is "Scorpion". I tend to like shows that are kind of in the style of the old cartoon "The Fantastic Four" where each character has their own super-power and "Scorpion" is like that. "Star Trek The Next Generation" was like that too, which I really enjoyed. I also watch "Law & Order - SVU" and "Blue Bloods". Mark likes "Elementary". George, I liked "Law and Order - Los Angeles" too. I thought it was hilarious that it seemed most episodes had something to do with the illegal growing and distribution of pot. Is this what the rest of the country thinks of L.A.? We all smoke pot??

This one!

That's pretty cool!

And now, I must take a shower, have lunch at the restaurant, then to the movies!
Be back later.
-
Have a good day, all!

Oh...I hadn't heard anything about it. :-\
I've tried to avoid reading the details in case there are any spoilers.
I love how The Mentalist is wrapping up their final season knowing it was the end. I think it is the best season of the series.
-
Futzed and finessed all the pages from yesterday, wrote one new line but got the idea of how to end this chapter and lead into the penultimate chapter. Had a fun first music rehearsal, about which more later. Must now buckle down, Winsocki and write.

Oh...I hadn't heard anything about it. :-\
I don't watch the show but Tvline has it listed as "a safe bet". So it will most likely be back.
-
I think Celebrity Apprentice will be sad to watch tonight. Joan Rivers is one of the guests (I'm guessing she will be like Ivanka and go see the tasks and advise in the boardroom).
-
I think that for long running shows the networks should be considerate to fans and decide before the season is over. I prefer it when they let the writers write an ending. It is so frustrating when they wait till the season is over. One of my favorite shows Covert Affairs just got cancelled and they did not bother to let them know in advance. So the series ended on a cliffhanger.

Interesting.
-
That's scary DR SINGDAW!
-
I've done about five pages so far. I actually went back and broke the chapter earlier so that the penultimate chapter wouldn't end up being twenty or twenty-five pages, which is where it was heading. So that chapter will end up being about fifteen of sixteen and then another twelve or so for the final chapter.
-
Druxy - what a lovely tribute.
-
My God! 7:30 on the East Coast and still n Page 2?
-
Clearly, something must be done.
-
It's been too damned warm in the apartment today.
-
I got all of Paint Your Wagon organized.
-
I've got the Moross music in my bag for tomorrow's Toyland trek after therapy.
-
I missed the reading of my friend's show today. I'm sorry about that.
-
Tonight, I'll begin my taxes.
-
I believe my meeting with my accountant is March 3. I didn't want to deal with tallying up things until I'd finished the Encores! work.
-
And we are getting close.
-
I do believe!

!!! Page 3 !!!

That's all, folks!

Sometimes when I'm reading a novel and I'm not sure if I want to finish it, I cheat. I look at the end to determine if I want to continue. I rarely do this, however, I would have done it with my current book if I wasn't using the Kindle app on my Nook. The app is not all that great.
Keith purchased a book, using the kindle instead of the more convenient B&N even though the price was the same. He asked me to read the book & discuss it with him. I rushed to do so in spit of the fact I have a heavy book from the library I need to read before it expires. I found out today that he stopped reading the book and only wanted me to tell him what I thought of it. Obviously he doesn't like it.
Yes, he does have a legitimate reason, we know the author's husband. He takes a long time to read a book and figures it is nothing for me to accomplish the task-lol
-
Now that I am almost done with the book I found him out. I made a comment that should have gotten a laugh out of him and he didn't "get" it ;D
-
Pant Your Wagon.....I do not know from this show.
Is that the musical where you breathed hard on a wagon?
-
Done about seven or eight pages so far. Am taking a little break and will certainly write another seven or I'll just binge write and try to finish. I'm about to end the penultimate chapter, which will take me into the final chapter.
-
BK
So glad you had the guts to take on James O' Sullivan on Facebook. I didn't. I thought I was being nice by saying that seeing Gwen Verdon on stage and on film were two different things. I wanted to say that he never had the opportunity to see her live on stage (too young) and he doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. I am so glad I had the opportunity to see her perform live.
-
I haven't accomplished much today, but I did fix a nice dinner that we shared with our upstairs neighbors - pork roast, broccoli/cauliflower/carrot medley, applesauce, and potatoes (prepared by Rob).
-
And I finally got into the book for the Wednesday book group at the library where my career began - Philip Margolin's Worthy Brown's Daughter.
DR Jane, the story opens in Phoenix, Oregon, which I discovered is not far from where you live.

Does your library e-book stay on your nook (once it expires) if you don't turn on your wifi? I have noticed that I can keep borrowed e-books if I don't turn on my wifi. Or books i loan out don't disappear unless i turn on the wifi. Although since i turn on my wifi a lot I would probably forget.
Btw i know people who always read the endings first. I could never do this.

Good evening. I had a nice day birding in the desert. We found some birds that we cannot identify.
-
Shayne, that guy is a complete idiot and barely out of his teens IF he's out of his teens.
-
Break time over - mushing on.
-
Evening all! Hope all are doing well.
I had a good day. Went to a doctor about my eyes and found I was correct about needing a little surgery. No worries. I just have a bit to much skin (like my Mom did). I was told it will only take about 20 minutes per eye and I won't even need to be put under.
It has to get approved by the insurance which may take about six weeks so it won't happen right away.
-
I seem to be in mist of a new car buying trend. Thelma got a Ford Escape like mine (before me), My ex boss, Glenda bought a brand new Ford (the model about the Escape but I can't think of the name), my friend Linda (who rides the bus with me and lives around the street from me) bought a new Chevy last weekend and this week the other Glenda (my co worker) just bought a Ford Focus.
I've never owned a brand new car before Nellie Belle but I confess I am loving her! :)

LOL, very close indeed. I drive through it when I go to Jacksonville.

I believe that would work but I don't want to be in the position to test it, plus I like to be able to use the internet.
-
DR Danise, new cars can be fun for a good long while :)
The eye surgery sounds simple.
-
Starting the final chapter in about fifteen minutes - it's going to be at least fifteen pages long and since I've already written about nine pages, I'm not all that sure I have it in me to do all of that tonight, although if I get on a roll I might just.
-
Page three? Really?
-
Three hours of work on cha-cha and tango mostly tonight. One of these days, my feet will land in the right place, my hips will turn when they're supposed to and the upper half of my body will not.
-
Elmore, I wish I could get started on my taxes tonight. I don't even have my W2s yet.
-
All the best with the eye surgery, Danise.

Loved this story of how a 5-year-old is being charged for having missed a birthday party and not informing the host he'd be absent.

About twelve pages so far. About fifteen to go, so I'll take a brief break now, maybe shower again, and then mush on as long as I can.

Did the host of the party have to pay money for the kid to come, so that the host was actually out the money because the kid didn't show up?
Who should bear the loss - the host of the party, or the parents who didn't decide to let the host know so that the host could cancel the ticket?
-
This sounds like a case for Judge Judy.
-
Or since it's England, maybe Judge Judi.
-
Almost at page 4

Speaking of Judi, have we already discussed that Judi Dench has Harvey Weinstein tattooed on her bottom

I have some ketching up to do, so I'm sorry if this has already been covered here.
-
On Wednesday i received a call from a former coworker informing me that a very lovely former coworker of ours had been diagnosed with cancer in October, on Friday she passed away... she was 60
Tonight was her wake and she would have loved it - there were a couple of hundred of us who showed up and while tears were shed there was much more laughter as we shared stories of Rosie
-
I am worn out though it was a long day at work and then a emotional several hours to end the day
-
Good Vibes to all

Good night

That's what I love about my Kindle...I never turn on the wi-fi, so it never syncs up with my account, so the books on my Kindle will stay there forever...well, they have so far. It's probably been more than two years since I turned on the wifi.
;)

What is this world coming to?

And speaking of Judi, I just finished watching Mrs. Henderson Presents. I enjoyed it when I first saw it, especially for Judi Dench, but I really loved it tonight. I don't know what it was that got me this time, maybe know that Bob Hoskins would never be able to give another performance as wonderful as this. Maybe Christopher Guest in a hilarious small role and muttering about a woman's "Midlands."
Just another example of Stephen Frears' brilliant touch as a director.
-
Speaking of page four - why?
-
I think I am going for it, although if I haven't finished by eleven-thirty I may save the final four or five pages for tomorrow afternoon. I'm almost through with all the explanations, which is the hardest part - once that happens, then it's on to the end.
-
The only thing worse than finding us on page four is finding that everybody has left the building.
-
Well, Dr. Haineshisway, what should we discuss tonight?
-
DR Druxy, my condolences on the loss of your friend and former client.
-
Vixmom, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your former co-worker.
-
Are there two different PAINT YOUR WAGONS?
-
What movie did George go to see?
-
Who am I asking that question? I am the only one here.
-
DR John, do you think you can recreate that French dish from last night?
-
Sad to read about the death of that reality star. Killed by a train is very low on my list of ways to end it.
-
Guess I'm going for it - about six or seven more pages. Taking a shower now, and then will write till I'm done, even if it's rough. I won't even attempt to futz and finesse all these pages in the morning and I know there will be a lot of futzing and finessing when it's this many pages. I'll come right home from rehearsal at two and do it then, print out the pages, Xerox them and get them right to Muse Margaret.
-
T.O.D.
LAW & ORDER; SVU
CASTLE
SCORPION (does that count?)
NCIS 1, 2, and 3
GRIMM
-
What do I want to be when I grow up?
-
A professional actor
-
A minister (Methodists didn't allow gay clergy back then)
-
A lawyer (my mother's idea)
-
A chef
-
Or, perhaps an Indian chef
-
LOL!!
-
Actually, I don't like curry.
-
I sure wish I could buy a van.
-
That way, when and if, I get my electric scooter; I could get it where I was going without taking it apart,
-
Of course, I could be dead from old age before I get an approval for that scooter.
-
What movie did George go to see?
"The Birdman" with Michael Keaton.
-
I suppose I could look around for a used van, but then I always have to worry about mechanical problems.
-
What movie did George go to see?

And.......................
-
Lowest round trip airplane ticket from Seattle and Phoenix is $600.00. And that is if you can find a ticket.
-
That is the Super Bowl price, not the regular price.
-
Of course, a ticket to the game is approximately $2,000.
-
Oh, I forgot on the Topic of the Day, THE FLASH. That is currently my favorite TV show, which probably means it will get cancelled.
-
We had an E1 tornado in Gig Harbor, WA yesterday. By the water route, that is only about two to three miles from my house. Yikes!
-
No opinion, George, on the film?
-
I wonder how long I will have to wait for INTO THE WOODS to be released on DVD?
-
There are several films that I am looking forward to seeing on DVD.
-
George must be busy watching TV.
-
I guess I am done for the evening.
-
I can't think of anything else to say.
-
G'night!
-
What movie did George go to see?
"The Birdman" with Michael Keaton.
And.......................
It certainly was well done, but there were some very surreal moments that I didn't expect. It took a little getting used to it all, but I did enjoy it. All the actors were very good. And the most unusual thing was that it was shot as if it was all one take. They obviously edited it (there were some time change moments), but it was all quite seamless.
-
One to two more pages. Onward I go.
-
BK, when do you think you'll start taking orders?
-
Done. Whew! I'm sure there will be major futzing and finessing tomorrow, but it's basically done.
-
We'll see how Muse Margaret likes it. Then we have the proofing period, which usually takes two weeks or so. Then we have the book design period, which is dependent on Grant's schedule. I also have to figure out the cover design. We talked about having Jimmy Mulligan, who did the Red Gold cover, do an original painting for the cover, but we've never had that before so I'm not sure what it would be or look like. I can also go take some photos and see how those turn out.
