Last night I finished watching the BBC miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell's North and South. Fantastic production!
Tonight I will begin the BBC version of Mrs. Gaskell's Wives and Daughters.
First after bk again?!

Yes my dad is home and resting. The oxygen people are coming to bring him some air....and he has a couple of new prescriptions.....
He looks much better than he did when he left.
I am doing well today. Didn't sleep well last night, I just couldn't get to sleep then we had a downpour for quite a while which is very loud on a slate roof. We got 2.25 inches of rain. We needed it. But I discovered a little trickle of water in the basement, so....I found someone who can clean gutters and called him. He'll be by tomorrow to do that. I also called the company that is going to do the basement repair an scheduled it for October. Then I put in the call to schedule an electrician to fix the plug for the new sump pump that will be installed in October. And a friend stopped over briefly this morning. She had her husband had a landscaping business for years. She offered to mow my yard and although I initially said no, I called her back and said yes. So she's coming over tomorrow to mow for me.
When the nurse called today, I told her that I was surprised there wasn't more pain (not asking for it, just surprised) She told me that they use a numbing medication internally when they do the surgery and that's why there is less pain. Interesting. Not sure if that's something new or not, but I sure like the idea

Thanks for mentioning my (modest) milestone the other day, DR John G!You're (modestly) welcome. :)
Okay, that's more like it.
Got THE WORLD OF HENRY ORIENT in the player. Not sure I'm going to watch it all. Might switch over to THE BEST OF EVERYTHING.
Greetings all! I am half-blind no longer.Yay!
Really enjoying this film version of Cymbeline. Outrageously violent. Excellent acting.
I have never had my appendix or my gall bladder removed.
I have had my tonsils removed.
I don't know if I still have my brain or not.
At the cost of reading a surfeit of stupid posts, that's what.

Qualification. The direction isn't as good as it needed to be. In fact, some of the scenes toward the end were not well shot or paced, so the actors were left stranded. That Shakespeare guy can write, though.
Whoops! I forgot to turn my phone back on today when I got home.
Oh, no one called anyway.
But we made it to p age six
Why aren't you asleep?
Well, your typing has improved.
Why not dogs?
😿😿
I have just discovered these odd cat emoticons
Thank you to everyone for the successful vibes. They seemed to have worked.
The commission found that sexual orientation discrimination is sex discrimination for several reasons. Among the reasons, the commission stated, is because sexual orientation discrimination “necessarily entails treating an employee less favorably because of the employee’s sex” and “because it is associational discrimination on the basis of sex.”
