Good morning, all!  I am not happy.

I am not happy that I'm in what is an ugly mess financially at the moment, but i am really unhappy that at this moment I dislike intensely my two brothers for being the obstacles for this Ohio property's selling and wish nothing good for either of them.

I knew the property taxes would be rolling down the pike soon, but I am floored that my usually reliable sister-in-law Jo let us remain uninformed until the last moment; we usually get the notice on the amount due a month in advance; it's always an irritant but I at least know there's going to be a financial situation rolling down the pike.  This latest one-week notice has wiped out my bank account and, since I cannot invoice for another week, I will see no income for at least two weeks. Color me pissed.

Got a busy weekend starting up here.  Tonight, my second ARSENIC AND OLD LACE in one season (different theater, different friends involved).  Tomorrow morning, another of the good library sales and I'm not sure what's going on later.  Sunday, something or other.  My, I'm just full of information.

TOD:

I'm headed out of town for the weekend, so I'll likely only be able to listen to the latest Stephen King, Finders Keepers, on CD during the drive. I'm on disc 6 of 12 and am really enjoying it. It's another detective novel and the suspense is building nicely.

Of course it's going to be hot and humid this weekend - it's the Greek Festival at our local church and it's the annual fish fry at Mom's retirement community.  We're going to the Greek Fest for dinner with Rob and Mary Linda tonight, but skipping the fish fry.

We live in the town where Richard and DR Elmore graduated together and have only been to a couple of their reunions.  In fact, we managed to find ourselves in France the weekend of their 50th last fall.  When we do go, I enjoy them more than he does.  My friend Chris, who's not from here either and whose husband graduated with Richard and DR Elmore, says the same thing.

Rights issues have yet to be resolved but the plan is to film in and around London beginning in early 2016.

They don't even have the rights, yet?  Does it happen that way very often?

Back from a jog.  Annette Funicello's old house across from me, which has, for the entirety of the almost eleven years I've lived her, been covered in bushes and shrubs literally blocking any view of the front of the house, has suddenly had tree people there since yesterday and all that crap's been removed and now the house if visible.  It's also completely empty - this means one of two things - the owner (s) have died and the house is going up for sale, or it's already been sold at auction and a tear down may be coming.

Wonderful to know Cilla is feeling better!

Thanks!   I seriously haven't felt this good in years  (or should that be well).  Anyway, went to see the surgeon today.  I really like him. Dr. Gupta is great.  I took the photos he had given to my family for me and he walked me through the whole surgery and pointed out my other organs and said they all look great.  That's nice to know.

The bottom line is I had chronic gall bladder disease and lots of gall stones.  The appendix didn't look normal to him and he showed me what he saw in the photos, but the lab said it was ok so whatever on that one, glad it's gone.  I haven't felt well in years. Not really sick but not well either.  I blamed aging, stress, a million things, but never thought of my gallbladder. The nurse and Dr Gupta both told me that's common with gall bladder problems.  Anyway, I feel 10 years younger.  I can't remember the last time I could eat and not feel uncomfortable or bad.  I can eat anything now.  I have a ton of energy and have been cleared to start lifting more weight.  Basically if it hurts - stop.  And I don't have to go back.  I'm cleared!

One of these days we'll have to coordinate ahead of time.  I could get to your hubby's home town fairly easily as it's not far from my hometown.  So if you're ever spending some time there, holiday time or something, maybe I could drive up and meet your hubby and have lunch or something.

They responded immediately that his actions were unacceptable and they will be monitoring him

My doctor did tell me it was probably a good thing that I didn't work this week as it gave me time to heal. It's been the longest I've taken off in years and years and years, well I guess I did go to work two different days, and stopped several times to get the mail, but I think it's been great for me mentally to take the break. AND I have two more days before I go back to work

I jogged around three o'clock - I can't tell you how close I came to continuing down to Ventura Blvd. and then down to where the footbridge is to get back here.  Thankfully I didn't as there was a shooting on Ventura near Laurel Canyon - not much known - a homeless person perhaps in front of the Union Bank next to Chipotle firing shots in the air.  Police arrived, he wouldn't lower or drop his weapon and they took him out.  Lots of helicopters now (all news ASSES I'm sure) and Ventura is closed to Laurelgrove (the street to the east of me) and Laurel Canyon is closed up to Moorpark.  Since I take Moorpark to the freeway I'll have to see if there are problems there - there shouldn't be when I leave in about forty minutes.

And now, I'm off.  My sister is hosting a garage sale for the Olympia PFLAG and I'm bringing some stuff to donate.  But I have to go home first and get it, then I'll go over there.  Then, I'll come home and have the rest of the evening and possibly tomorrow all to myself.

Be back later.

Thank you and congratulations on the excellent visit to the surgeon.  I think it is great your surgeon removed your appendix while he was in there, one less thing to worry about.

I am so glad that things are going well for Cilla. Except for the noise issue. I am shocked someone would post your address that is ridiculous.

I'm glad I was able to delete it. Today I messaged he tv station that had the story posted with all the comments on Facebook and told them about the cyberbullying and the posting of my address.  They asked the name and I gave it to them and they will be watching for his posts.  Hopefully they will cut back on the cyber bullying

Nice of the tv station.  Of course if that person bullies you again they have more to write about ;)

The back splash is completed on our main kitchen wall.  It still needs finishing and we aren't to touch the vent hood.  It looks great and such a delight not to be looking at drywall.

Sing, if you want to start a conversation at your party, just ask people about themselves. Most people love to talk about themselves. Of course, you may find you're bored to death, but that's another issue.

I suppose you could drive yourself to the surgery, but you are required to have a driver to take you home.  I don't know how other clinics do it, but I was required to bring my driver into the office, and she was required to sign paperwork verifying that she would drive me home.
