And the word of the day is: SCOP!
TOD:
Off-hand, I can only think of two movie-to-stage musicals that I've seen:
1. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, which I didn't really like. Loved the movie, but the stage show was "padded" and reminded me of a circus act.
2. RAGTIME is one of my all time favorite musicals. I wish they would make a movie of the musical version.
.And the word of the day is: SCOP!
I wish my tooth would scop hurting
First week in the new space is done and we (I) survived.
I have found my best commute and I will break it up with a walk once or twice a week (45 minutes from door to door).
Since I won't be going home for lunch anymore I will have more time to read as I eat my lunch. I've been bringing my reader with me and except for Monday I read for at least a half hour every day. That's relaxing.
Legally Blonde is the poster child for this discussion, whether you like it or not - it may be partly based on the novel, but its entire reason for existence is to call itself Legally Blonde and capitalize on that branding of the film. Otherwise they would have called it something else - certainly they would have forty years ago like Promises, Promises.
I want to rip this tooth out of my head
So thrilled to hear DR Cillaliz's good news about her health.
If that last post of mine offends, I'll remove it.
Good morning, all!
I am making an effort to overcome this current bout with depression and discontent. I dislike the inertia of my existence and I'm spending far too much time fretting about the situation. Perhaps visiting friends out of town will help.

For example, in recent years, I really love the LEGALLY BLONDE musical even more than the movie (it's a lot more real about the law school experience than the movie, for one thing) but I gather that in reality the musical's as much based on the novel as based on the movie.

So, you're coming to Ohio?

I never knew that there was a LEGALLY BLONDE novel.

It was the source for the film:

Maybe there will be accordion playing at the program tonight DR SINGDAW. Or an audience participation portion of the evening.
Back from a jog, a cheese omelet and a bagel and picking up a package.
Hmm, this new book ARMADA by Ernest Cline (which is way near the top of the best seller list) sounds plot-wise pretty much excatly like the film of THE LAST STARFIGHTER

Wonder if there's a way to sell LAST STARFIGHTER musical CD's (or even downloads): Long before ARMADA, there was (with the same plot) - THE LAST STARFIGHTER,
or something like that :)
Have a good time, George
