Well, you've read the notes, the notes had an "aha" moment, and now it is time for you to post until the "aha" cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: TIMOCRACY!
-
Congrats to Sami's "aha" moment! May it last the rest of the run!
-
And speaking of Sami, I hope I put in the correct info (I know it's incomplete), but I just added "Welcome To My World" to Castalbums.org (http://castalbums.org):

Great to read about last night's show.
Aha!
-
Glad to read, also, that DR vixmom's trip is turning out to be a wonderful respite.
-
I don't own this, but I saw it online:

Good morning, all.
A peaceful Sunday morning here, and just a bit cooler than it's been.
Cool breeze, coffee, recliner.
-
Glad to know those Vixes are safely ensconced in Florida, enjoying a well deserved vacation.
Vixmom, as nice as the Downtown Disney area still is, I strongly believe they unnecessarily threw away so much of what made it great and better diversified in terms of activities. The original Pleasure Island was unique and wonderful. I'm thinking back ten to fifteen years ago.
-
But don't get me started. :)
-

It took me a minute to realize the artist wasn't Kenton Wagner the adult film performer.
-
Good morning to all
-
Back to ASSASSINS today -- the start of tech week, but for me that's not till 6:00 p.m. I'm looking forward to finding out what our physical arrangement will be, such as off to the sides or behind the set or what have you. This is in a fairly large (200 seats or more) studio theater that I haven't been in yet. I don't think they're doing this show in the round, but they have that capability.
-
Sami sounds like a pro.
It would have been big news if the person with the phone going off was Patti LuPone
-

Aha!
I have that one! As I recall, it was my second of his recordings, after West Side Story.
-
Did you see what I did there?
Had my own little "Aha" moment, I did.
-
Boy, it really is breezy. Good thing this isn't the day I was going to start working outside. Doing it tomorrow, though. I plan on spending many of the daylight hours this week clearing brush and weeds that have grown into trees, and other such things around this jernt. Fortunately, the weather should be perfect for that the entire week.
-
Suddenly, I'm bright and breezy.
Because of all the
Beautiful and new
Things I'm learning about you
Day by
Day.
-
Had my own little "Aha" moment, I did.
You must be so proud! :)
-
It is time to get ready to go sing for the people.
-
Good morning, all! Too much rich food yesterday has left me bilious and unhappy today. Still, it was a great day yesterday and i am not complaining.
-
Last night was my "I have not driven in five years" nightmare, a terrible way to begin a day.
-
Tonight is my fina; birthday bash: Joshie and Rob Berman are taking me to dinner.
-
This morning, at 11:30, I am meeting a friend for coffee,
-
Glad to hear last night's show went so well and very happy to hear that our DR vixmom is safely in Florida.
-
Good morning.
How wonderful for Sami - taking that moment and making something great of it.
-
DR ELMORE's social whirl makes me dizzy.
-
Lovely notes - I remember seeing 10 to Midnight and having some of the same questions about it as MR BK wrote in the notes - but you just kind of go with it.
I like Mr Bronson in THE MECHANIC.....
-
We had a great closing night. The audience wasn't as lively as some, but they all had a good time. The show was good - no big catastrophes or gaffes.....
The biggest laugh - as it usually is - was an ad lib that I did, I know I heard it somewhere, but I don't remember....
Daria is our medium when we have a seance, and later on after she is killed, Felix and I are carrying her around trying to hide the body. And of course most of HHW is ahead of me now.....but I say: "She says she's a medium, but I think she's an extra large!"
-
Afterwards we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for a small party.....and Vickie and I won THREE out of FOUR of the trivia games. They are played on small tablet type computers and everyone is logged in with a special screen name.
The only reason we didn't win the first game, too, is that we didn't get logged on until the third question!

DR ELMORE's social whirl makes me dizzy.
I'm back to being a pumpkin tomorrow, Jack!
-
Have fun today DR elmore and at the same time try to avoid those rich foods :)
-

I like Mr Bronson in THE MECHANIC.....
Same, all the way.
-
Bruce, congratulations on the show and the "aha" moment.
-
Congrats to BK and cast!!!!
-
Congrats to Jrand on another successful show.
-
Congratulations to Sami on her perfect night!
-
I ended up (somewhat spontaneously-- for me) at the closing night of "South Pacific" at Don Bluth's Front Row Theatre. I think DR Laura would have liked the show a lot.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Congratulations to JRand on a successful run.
Congratulations to Sami for a breakthrough performance. It's been fun reading about the development of the show and her run.
-
The Emmy Awards are on tonight. Is anyone going to watch?
-
I can't because I have rehearsal. I'll record them and fast-forward through a lot of it.
-
I imagine that they could do with quite a bit of recodding, DR George! ;)
-
Drat - beat me to it. :)
-
*post deleted*
-
;D
-
Glad for all the theatre good news in today's notes and posts.
-
May the trend continue with DR TCB's callback.
-
Well, crap. I have two DVRs and one of them just bit the dust. It's been having trouble the last couple months, restarting itself without any warning, but now it won't even turn on.
-
Fortunately over the last few days, I had either watched or deleted most of the programs that were on it, but I don't remember every series that I had scheduled to record. Hopefully, the information is still available on-line. I will have to get another DVR...one just is not enough.
-
And now, I'm off to my sister's. Then this evening, rehearsal.
Have a good day, all!
-
And I am home from my brunch date. I had a good time.
And to work. Dinner at 7:00.
-
Good afternoon. Thanks for preserving my millstone
-
My team lost last night so we are behind in the best of 5 games 2-1. Today's game is at 5:05 PM. I'm actually ok if the season is over or if we have one more game tomorrow. It's been a great season, but a long one.
-
In almost every game, about the second inning there is a gaggle of geese that flies over the stadium from south to north. Last night, they flew from north to south for the first time. Fall is nearly here
-
My last load of laundry is in the dryer
-
The first political robo call of the day came at 8:00 AM. I'm seriously considering getting rid of my land line. I'm also going back to what my mom told me in the 60s.....my vote is private. It's my business and no one elses
-
Woke up around ten after just under eight hours of sleep. I stayed in bed playing on the iPad.
-
Sunday afternoon greetings! This was a Lima day for us and as soon as we got home we did a little "nosy neighboring." The house kitty-corner to ours is for sale and open today, so Richard, Mary Linda, and I went to see it. Not one of us is ready to move across the street, but we're hoping they can sell it for what they're asking.
-
I'm happy you had such a nice birthday weekend with your friends, DR elmore !
-
I'm happy you had such a nice birthday weekend with your friends, DR elmore !
Thanks, DR KevinH! It's been really good, and I'm looking forward to dinner tonight with Joshie and Rob.
-
Thanks to all for the kind words.
I don't think I can stand to watch the Emmy Awards tonight.....so many UNworthy people and series are nominated.....or I guess I should say....series I don't like or watch and people whose talents I don't appreciate.....
-
And THAT'S what comes from men and women dancing!
-
And THAT'S what comes from men and women dancing!
Shouldn't you be on eBay selling friends?
-
My last load of laundry is in the dryer
I just put my first load of laundry in the washing machine.
-
I'm back from seeing my sister and getting some stuff at Costco.
-
I have time to do a couple more loads of laundry before rehearsal.
-
Watching a weird movie called Colma the Musical, which is set in a town with more dead people than living.
-
The Emmy Awards are on tonight. Is anyone going to watch?
We are entertaining tonight.
-
Our guests do not watch any tv nor do they go to movies.
-
I'm recording the Emmy Awards too. I'll fast forward when I watch-- just like DR George.
-
DR Jeanne -- you asked about the DC weather. We've had some nice days--not too humid. Temps in the low 80s. Cooler today.
-

We think you're always entertaining, Jane.

I agree I have fond memories of the Adventures Club I wish they would bring that back
-
What a perfect day. The commute to universal took no time at all, the parks were not at all crowded, by 11:30 we had done the most popular rides
Escape from Gringotts
Kings Cross to Hogwarts train ride
Escape from Hogwarts
Dueling Dragons roller coaster
Hogwarts to kings Cross train ride
Lunch was at the Leakey cauldron in Duagon alley
-
And if you are not a Harry Potter fan none of that means anything to you
-
Had a very good matinee with a very appreciative third of a house. Despite rave reviews on Inside Out, we had this exact same kind of second week - we really gathered steam on week three, and hopefully that will be the case for our show.
-
Then we had a meal at the Coral Cafe. As we were finishing, the Emmys came on - I thought the opening number was horrifyingly awful and the person who did it thought he was ever so funny, which is my problem with most people who do comedy today - they just find themselves frighteningly funny while I just find them frightening.
-
Congratulations to Sami on another great show. It sounds as if she handled last nights incident beautifully
-
If you are a Harry Potter fan I heartily recommend these parks. The attention to detail is just amazing
-
And I am home from a 3-hour dinner at Cafe Frida with my adopted son Joshie, my conductor-pianoist friend John Bell, and my absolute favorite musical director of choice Rob Berman. They treated me to a fantastic Mexican dinner and i had two pomegranate frozen margaritas and then they sent me into shock and a crying jag: they gave me a new iMac purchasaed by the three of them.
I am still in shock and flooded with such overwhelming gratitude to be blessed with such caring and fantastic friends on New York and on HHW (you know who you are, and I will never forget). Some days when my world seems a carload of crap I need to remember this.

Everything is just wonderful!

Thank you, my wonderful friend!
-
It is a wonderful day.
-
Except for the Seahawks that are trailing Green Bay 13 to 3.
-
Sounds like a great day, Elmore. So happy for you.
-
So, no I am not watching the Emmy Awards.
-
The last time I went to Universal theme park, Vixmom, it was before the first Harry Potter book had come out. (That dates me.)
The Hogwarts experiences sound like fun, just from the names.
-
Four
-
Four!
-
Did I miss any wonderful news?
-
I have no brain tonight.
-
The sun will come out tomorrow.
-
At least for most of the day.
-
Our last gasp of summer.
-
When does autumn arrive?
-
Is it Thursday?
-
I think that is correct.
-
I have no brain tonight.
Makes me want to use my favorite line from "Freaks": "One of us! One of us!"
-
Autumn is my favorite time of year.
-
Watching "The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel." Sweet.
-
Had dinner with my friend, Bonnie, who's visiting town tonight.
-
We went to dinner at a new Italian place.
-
Touchdown Seattle!
-
The ravioli were stuffed with four cheeses and then topped with a mushroom and pancetta cream sauce.
-
13 to 10 is a little better score.
-
I have got to work on the script tomorrow for callbacks.
-
Sounds like a great day, Elmore. So happy for you.
Thank you, DR John G! This has been the best birthday ever, I do believe!
-
For the main course, I had porchetta in a meat sauce. The pork was tender and delicious and salty and as authentic as any I've had since Italy. I was very happy.
-
I have got to work on the script tomorrow for callbacks.
Excellent.
-
Seahawks are now ahead 17 to 13.
-
At least, we are making a game of it.
-
Larry, has Fed Express been to see you lately?
-
Larry, has Fed Express been to see you lately?
No, and you asked me about that the other day. I'm sorry.
-
I have got to work on the script tomorrow for callbacks.
Callbacks? They should have offered you the role. Remember: you are going out there a gimp and you are coming back a star!!

One more.

Five
-
Larry, has Fed Express been to see you lately?
No, and you asked me about that the other day. I'm sorry.
That sounded harsh and i didn't mean it to. You had asked me about the Fed Ex the other day, and I've been watching for it, but nothing's shown up yet.
-
A new iMac? Yay! I'm thrilled for you, Larry!
May things fall into place one by one.
-
I had two pomegranate margaritas and I am more sloshed than I expected. I'm off to bed.
-
Good news from Vixmom from Hogwarts.
-
A good week ahead to all!
-
Good night!
-
they gave me a new iMac purchasaed by the three of them.
Oh my god.
OH MY GOD.
OH MY GOD!!!!! :) :) :)
-
What a wonderful gift, Elmore!
-
The sun will come out tomorrow.
Not here! We are getting another hurricane tomorrow afternoon. Or what is left of one.
-
Autumn is my favorite time of year.
Me, too!
-
DR elmore3003 - I am so thrilled at the generosity of your friends.
You deserve it!
-
I had two pomegranate margaritas and I am more sloshed than I expected. I'm off to bed.
Happily off to bed, I hope.
Sweet dreams.

How true, Snagglepuss. How true.
-
Have gotten about halfway through Toni Morrison's "God Help the Child." It's her first contemporary book and it deals, on one level, with child abuse, so it's not exactly a laugh a minute. But the writing is beautiful, and every once in a while a very wicked wit flashes. In one passage, she describes something as being "as pale and sad as light beer."
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Good night, all.
-
Today was a perfect day
-
Hi Vixmom!
-
And the perfect ending was seeing Elmore's birthday present news... I am so thrilled for you my friend!!
-
It is a wonderful day.
In the neighborhood.
-
Falling asleep here so good night all

Good. You deserve a perfect day.

The Number One thing.
OMG. Vixmom understands!!!

DR elmore I can picture your reaction when you received your gift :)
I am extremely happy for you.

I'm tiiiiired. Listening to the first two Richard Harris albums - both of which I was obsessed with when they came out.
-
The only real Jimmy Olson, Jack Larson, has passed away at the ripe old age of eighty-seven. I was happy to finally meet him several times at the parties of neighbor Tony Slide and Bob Gitt.

Eighty-seven years old. That certainly is a long life.

Tonight was rehearsal act one of "The HEAD! That Wouldn't DIE!!"
-
There was quite a bit of stopping and starting, and the music and picture cues aren't all finished and finalized, but we got through it.
