Well, you've read the notes, the notes closed, and now it is time for you to post until the closing cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GANNET!
-
First post after BK!
-
Thank you, BK and George.
-
good morning to all
-
on my second listen through of Welcome to My World
I always love to hear a song lyric that doesn't go where you think it will go. In this case in the song Snacks I though Molly would sing about have a "Chunky Monkey" on her back.
-
DR TCB - I am very sorry to hear your news. Thinking of you!
-
And I do hope that Nicky eventually forgives you.
-
Fun reading about the close of Welcome to My World in the notes today. And the great photos!
-
Good morning, all! The anxiety attacks began around 6:00am, so I am up, dressed and ready for my second cup of coffee. In another 90 minutes I will begin my drive to Miami University. Randy and Jo have already headed off to work, so I am here with the two German shepherds Maddie and Blaze.
-
Around 8:00, I will drag out the campus map and learn where my first stop will be when I arrive.
-
BK, I am happy that the last show went well. The commentary and photos have been much fun for the past weeks, and I hope it leads to many things.
-
DR TCB, I am so sorry to hear of your wife's death.
-
Okay, more coffee!
-
When I got in last night, Jo was watching a movie The Lucky One based on a Nicholas Sparks sudser. It was real manipulative hogwash of the highest order. I'd call it The Yucky One. It was like watching an accident, only no blood, just a lot of poor direction and senseless motivation.
-
I do like Blythe Danner.
-
Tom, I am so sorry to hear about your ex. I am glad you were able to connect recently. Hugs for you my friend
-
Bk congratulations on the successful run, since you are not bringing th show to my in November is there any chance that DR may be allowed to see a tape of the show?
-
Vibes for Elmore! I am sure you will be wonderful, I wish I could be there !
-
Well off to work
-
Laters
-
Good morning, all.
Coffee!
-
Very sorry to hear TCB's news.
-
Great notes and photos. Looking forward to more.
-
My day will be spent de-showing myself by putting the Music Room back together, packing for my li'l trip, and resting up for the morrow.
-
And a CD will be listened to, at full volume.
-
Looking forward to hearing more of DR Elmore's adventures. Believe you me, I can totally understand the anxiety attacks. But it will all be good.
-
Hugs and condolences to dear TCB.
-
Good morning, all.
Happy Monday vibes.
-
Vibes for Elmore.
-
Two!
-
My sympathies, TCB. So glad you were able to reconnect with her.
-
Monday morning greetings! We are one car short in our household today because Mary Linda's conked out as she and Rob were driving back from Michigan yesterday. It's in the car hospital today, so she took mine to work and I will use Richard's for errands later this afternoon.
-
DR TCB, I'm so sorry to hear about your former wife.
-
I am very sorry for your loss Tom. Wishing you vibes of comfort.
-
DR Ginny we are always one car short. If I still had a car I might go to the Newcomers Club activities, however, I am rather content to walk along the river instead.
-
DR TCB I'm not sure how I missed your response when I was watching for it. We won't plan on going to the last show.
-
So sorry to hear about your ex-wife DR TCB. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
Hmmm, seems I also missed a post from DR George:
Jane, if you're planning to spend the night, what if you came up early on a Saturday, have a lunch early enough for Tom to get to the theater, see the show Saturday night, and then you could leave Sunday.
Just a thought.
I suppose I was thinking Tom wouldn't want the activity before a show. It is an option.
-
Anti-anxiety vibes for DR elmore!!!
-
Bruce, I didn't remember her husband's name. Was Jeff in your class at Hami?
If you will be seeing her you can still say hi from us.
-
DR Ginny we are always one car short. If I still had a car I might go to the Newcomers Club activities, however, I am rather content to walk along the river instead.
Ah, yes, DR Jane. When we selected Richard's new car, we kept in mind that it may well become our "one car couple" car...
-
Our next car will be something I also enjoy driving, at least I hope so.
-
Because no day is complete without men in leather slapping themselves about while women yodel in the background. Here's are snippets from Germany's famed musical, Im weissen Roessl (aka White Horse Inn):

I'm up, I'm up - slept about eight hours all told.

For anyone who's listened to Welcome to My World and enjoyed, please do an Amazon review.
-
This link should take you to the Welcome to My World memory book that Sami and her mom made for me.

This was posted on Facebook yesterday by Mel England, an actor, and a staunch supporter of the Pro-99 movement here in LA.
""WOW! At the "amazing" Bruce Kimmel's one-"girl" show "Welcome to my World" (Bruce wrote the wildly perfect book, lyric and music), performed with stamina, skill and grace by the phenomenally talented 15 year old Sami Staitman! Broadway level work. And, yes, in a 99 seat theatre. Her future is bright, and Bruce just showed us how it's done! #Pro99"

Ditto and Ditto!! I'm listening to it right now, and it's absolutely delightful!

That's great!
-
Condolences to DR TCB.
-
I have enjoyed reading about the creation and performances of Sami's show! The photos and videos have been great.
I love the drawing and the photo of Sami with Gene and Fred!!!
-
DR VIXMOM - I don't ANYONE human who could have "held it together" under such circumstances.
Thoughts and prayers for all who knew him.
-
Things are moving along here.....
-
DR JOHN G that is one of my FAVORITE links of all time!!!!
I love that show....DR ELMORE introduced me to it.....I bought the DVD of a spectacular production......
-
Nice "Mixbook" MR BK....I never heard of such a thing!
-
Good afternoon.
-
Hugs, TCB. I am sorry to hear the news about your ex-wife.
-
I should buy a lottery ticket today. I sprayed the wasp nest last night in anticipation of yard work this morning. I didn't know there were others. One was only inches from where I was cutting down a dead shrub.

Social Security has been informed and benefits corrected......bank has been visited and accounts brought up to date.
Only one small pension account yet to be handled.
Thank you cards being written and will be sent out on Wednesday.
-
I have heard of certain flowers or plants sent to the service that had the names of people on them to take home......mostly businesses.....my sister-in-law's mother called and said she wanted the plant that she sent......so I gave it to her.....
I should have GIVEN IT TO HER.....but the restraining spirit has been strong within me the last few days......some people don't realize how thankful they should be.

:o
I've seen people carry arrangements home with them. I was of the opinion they were told to take them by the family. Really, why sent a plant and expect it back, just don't send it then.
I greatly admire your restraint.

Apparently my sister cashed a check after my father passed away ::) My brother had to return it after my sister passed away and he could finally see what was going on.
You are very organized.

Back from some chicken tenders.

Trying DR JANE .... trying.....

(I just fainted.)
-
LOL DR Chas.
-
I very much enjoyed finally being able to listen to Welcome to My World, and I've just posted my little review on Amazon.
But something weird is definitely going on with this, because while mine is counted on the product page as a third review, it has yet to display for me. I can still only see DR singdaw's and the other person's reviews.
Amazon's email to me saying it was posted gives me a link which takes me to my review on a page all by itself, with no links on that page back to the CD. This is utterly bizarre. I've never experienced anything like it in leaving reviews and comments.
-
Woops, my mistake. There is indeed a link on that page (now, at least), and it says there are 3 customer reviews. But nothing I click on, or refresh, makes mine show up on the product page with the others. Can anyone else see it?
Edit: Gotta run. I'll check on it again later.

Time to leave work.

I talked about this Amazon weirdness the other day - it's taking a day or more for the review to actually show up, even though it's counted there and should be there. I've written Amazon about it and they have not responded.

Well, I must go. I'm picking up my friend from the airport and her plane's coming in around 6:00. It's prime traffic jam time. Hopefully, I don't get there too early or too late.
Be back later. :)

My day in the hills of Oxford has come to an end. It was fantastic! I am very pleased with the day's events, and I will leave it at that.
Tomorrow, Wright State University.
-
Wow. That's wonderful, DR Elmore.
-
On my iPad, NONE of the reviews display even though counted. Even when hitting the links for "yes, damn it to hell, show me the damned reviews ".
This is on both Safari and one other browser.

Remember, I'm in Dayton from about 9:30am-2pm, so call me if you get lost...
-
Wonderful to hear that, Larry.
-
Now all three reviews are not showing. My guess? I think you all know what my guess is and it involves the usual troublemaker.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Condolences to TCB on the passing of his ex-wife. Add me to the list of DRs who are pleased you reconnected, albeit briefly.
-
Great news, Larry! I hope you'll provide more details at some point.
Vibes for a great day tomorrow.
-
Congrats to BK! I'm amazed at how quickly the new show was written and pulled together. I have no doubt you feel very pleased.
-
Continued vibes to JRand and family.

Update on my surgery drama:
I spent the weekend fighting a stomach bug and fever. I was feeling better this morning, but not at all certain I should be having surgery tomorrow. I phoned UCLA and explained the situation. The surgeon said he'd still like to proceed and I was asked to come in for another eye test. So we're on. I hope they don't change their minds tomorrow!
-
I wasn't feeling nervous until a couple hours ago. I don't usually sleep well before something like this, and I hope to get some sleep tonight, even if it's not a full night.
-

Yesterday when I went to Amazon to look for Welcome to My World, it didn't appear. I had to add Bruce Kimmel before it showed up.

Second listen of Welcome to My World. Having fun. Review to come.
-
Good night, all.
-
Good evening.
-
Thank you all for the kind thoughts and good wishes.
-
It has been a tough day.
-
Watched a perfectly dreadful movie on the Flix of Net - unbelievable how these things get made. It says it had a theatrical release in January of last year, but I think that means it played one theater - there is no proof anywhere that this film made a penny at the box-office - not one box-office report. And neither Variety nor the Hollywood Reporter reviewed it. Some fifth string idiot from the LA Times paid to see it in the one theater it was playing at (in Norwalk yet), and while he didn't love it, he certainly put a positive spin on it, which is sadly typical of fifth string idiot reviewers.
-
What is this page four malarky.
-
The weather continues to be beautiful.
-
Surgery vibes to DR Jeanne.
-
Jeanne you will be so happy that you had the surgery.

I'm just watching tonight's episode of "Castle."

We recorded it. I wasn't thrilled with how the episode ended last week.
