The Kritzerland site has been moved and is working properly.  But he's not moving us until tomorrow because he wants his team to be there to make sure everything is functioning properly, especially this board - last time we moved some settings got screwy and they had to go in and reset them.

Today it will be in the 60s - still pretty unusual.

I really don't know what the Golden Age of TV movies is. I didn't know there was a Golden Age for TV movies. I admit there was a time when I was watching a lot of Lifetime original movies and many of them were quite good. I tended to like anything that had Meredith Baxter in it. "Darkness Before the Dawn" and "Kate's Secret" were quite gripping.

I just got a lovely email from the gentleman from the Michael J. Colligan History Project and an interesting one from a high school classmate. Ty Thomas, who works in photography and television.  He learned this trade as a marine doing war photography during the Viet Nam mess. He's been reporting on Middletown Ohio ghosts, and we've been exchanging info on apparitions and southwestern Ohio legendary ghosts.

Nice bushy-tailed notes.

DR CHAS SMITH that sounds like a very funny play, but Ludwig's plays have a royalty arrangement like musicals....it depends on your ticket price and seating....not a straight royalty like most plays.  So his works are much more expensive to produce....which is too bad.

I really don't know what the Golden Age of TV movies is. I didn't know there was a Golden Age for TV movies.

I haven't looked it up to see if there's an official consensus, but I'd describe it as the very-late-1960s to mid-1980s.  A few of these classics might have been produced for the then-new cable channels, but the remarkable thing is that most of these movies and mini-series were produced for regular network TV.  And as TV goes, they were "events".  You tuned in and watched, and you discussed them at work the next day.

They're shooting a commercial at the usual house - I'm thinking someone bought that house specifically to rent out for shoots.  I wonder, in fact, if anyone actually lives there.  I may try to find out, because I think there is probably some law or something in LA that would preclude buying a house, not living in it, and renting it out for shoots as the sole purpose, at least I would hope there would be something to preclude that.  They've got production vehicles for BLOCKS - I mean they are parked on at least three full blocks - for a commercial.  I mean, really.

Bruce, most insurance companies do not want to insure an empty house. I don't know about any laws prohibiting someone from buying a house and then not living in it, but the insurance companies can be sticky about it.

Shouldn't lost rhyme with post.  If most can rhyme with post then lost should rhyme with post or post should rhyme with lost - what is WRONG with these word people?

That's the English language (http://ncf.idallen.com/english.html) for you.

I am sorry for bk and any DRs who are having trouble getting a good amount of sleep.

I also have trouble getting a good amount of sleep, but in my case it's because I don't usually go to sleep when I go to bed.  I'm still watching TV or (recently) on my tablet, or both, and just not making the decision to go to sleep.

DR Elmore, that classmate with the Middletown ghosts is very nice to have contacted you.  Sounds like it will be a most interesting subject.

Ditto and Ditto!

Really?  We didn't have a problem insuring our condo before we moved it.  It was very inexpensive too since the outside is covered by the HOA.  When we sold the other house we changed the insurance for the contents only.  I expect most people would have other home/car, etc insurance and the company would gladly do it.

I'm being told it's happening momentarily.  They're testing a couple of more things in terms having synched the files and everything.  Once that's done, I'm told they will take the site off-line, test everything one final time, then bring it back on the new server in the new data center.  I've asked how long we'll be off line but haven't received a response - hopefully it will be brief.

The head guy is in a meeting and won't even acknowledge my texts and says he'll call back - he didn't call back yesterday, so i'm not hopeful of today.  Their main tech guy I'm on the phone with now - he wasn't "aware" of the problem but now sees it - the entire site, the blog, the board and the ARCHIVES are all October 12.  If they've lost the last five weeks there is going to be hell toupee, that's all I can tell you.  Obviously I can resurrect last night's blog and that's it.  I can't imagine they wouldn't have a way to figure this out, but I'm hyperventilating right now.  I guess the only light is that these current posts now say today.
Title: Re: BRIGHT-EYED AND BUSHY-TAILED

So, BK's first two posts, and DR Elmore's and whoever else had posted before me -- they were all in the Nov. 20th thread.  I think mine hit the board just in time to be the last one.  A few from DR Elmore were just before mine.

No, I'm invisible, and I figured out why:  It was within these past few weeks that I uploaded the photo to the site.  So now, until everything's restored, it's simply not there.

Don't do anything else - he knows what happened and when it happened (why he's just realizing it now is anyone's guess) and he's going to fix it so hang tight.  When we synched this morning it pointed us to the wrong database and therein lies the problem.  He'll get it to point to the right one and hopefully all these current posts, the last fifteen or whatever will come over but I guess there's a chance they could also not come over but they can deal with that once the main problem is fixed.  It shouldn't take more than a few minutes he said.
